Can you help me decide between Kidani and BLT?

It's been almost three weeks since I originally posted, and I wanted to give your our final update. You have all been so kind and gracious in sharing your advice and encouragement with us . . . thank you!

Yesterday we called and added on at Bay Lake Tower. We now have two modest contracts at both AKV and BLT. By the time we made our decision, we felt very comfortable about splitting our contracts and having the "best of both worlds".

We hope to go home to WDW in late 2012, but we're using last years points to do a stay at the Grand Californian Villas this fall and then will check out the beautiful Aulani (not too far from our home) for a few nights sometime this winter. How's that for mixing it up?

Thank you again for all your help; I honestly think you all very much changed our decision about what to buy . . . for the better.

Good to hear that they finally smoothed out all the wrinkles in letting Hawaii residents buy at the Florida resorts! Now if only I could convince DH to let me add on at either AKV or BLT (we won't even consider any resorts that don't have 2 bath in the 1 bed we're so spoiled). Congratulations and enjoy your trips! Hoping to get in a couple of weekend trips to Aulani next spring myself ...

We bought into both resorts and prefer BLT. I originally thought we would not, but overall, it is our favorite. It is close to the KM, we have access to the monorail, the rooms seem bigger and of course they are much brighter. The annual dues are much less and I feel that BLT is a much better value over AKL. I still like AKL a lot, though.
