Question is in the title really. Is it possible to have a wedding off site and then do photos at a Disney resort? And if so are there restrictions? Like specified photographers? Thanks!

There is no prohibition on taking photos around the Disney resorts in your wedding attire, and there are no restrictions on which photographers you can use. That only comes into play inside the theme parks.

No one will know where you had your wedding, and no one will care—they'll just be excited to see you all dressed up! :goodvibes

Thanks lurkyloo.

Here is another question (for anyone): roughly how much should I expect to pay for photography?

There would just be the two of us (no guests) and I guess we would need a couple of hours of photos - I would like some photos at Bay Lake Tower and possibly one of the other monorail resorts (if time would allow).

I have been looking at some of the sites of the popular photographers mentioned on here but very few mention prices and as I don't have a specific date (or even a definate plan) I didn't really want to contact them yet.

We would want a cd of photos but no prints or anything else. If this cannot be posted publicly - a PM would be most appreciated :)

It varies by photographer, but figure on at least $200 for certain outside photographers and up to $450 (plus extra for the disc) for Disney Fine Art Photography. Hopefully other brides will come along and share what they paid. :thumbsup2

I would highly recommend Randy Chapman. We just had a session done with him when we were down for our anniversary 2 weeks ago and he did our wedding and engagement pictures.

If you visit his website www.chapmanphotography.com and go under the Contact form you can fill in your information and they will get back to you with pricing. He offers a lot of affordable options including just getting the CD. I know he is a great photographer and he works with couples in terms of what they can afford. Fill out the contact form or give him a call. He is familiar with all the Disney resorts and could do a great job for your wedding :bride:
