Can you do it all at 2 MVMCP?

My family and I are going to WL 12/6-12/14 with the Winter Dream Maker package. Friends of ours are going from 12/8-12/11. For their budget they do not want a package. They have 2 HP's left from a prior trip. They have 4 days and want to do all 4 parks. They have purchased tickets for 2 MVMCP because it costs about the same as a single day for MK. They will have to purchase single day tickets for one of the other parks. Here was their plan: 12/8 EPCOT, 12/9 AK and MVMCP, 12/10 resort/relax day, 12/11 MGM and MVMCP. Now they are rethinking it and considering buying tickets for 12/10 because they are worried they won't get to do all they want at MK in 2 MVMCP and they don't want to "waste" a day. I am trying to assure them they would be able to do most everything they'd want to. I don't know if I should be telling them this because we've never been to MVMCP and will be attending our 1st this year. I feel like after 2 long days they will need a break. I also don't think it is a waste to hang out at the resort, plus they will enjoy the last day more. I want them to have fun and see all they want to. Am I giving them the right advice?

I did everything at <i>one</i> MVMCP. They can do twice as much if they go twice, IMO.

It depends on what you want to do. We like to see the shows and parade at MVMCP, things that are not available during the day. There are some attracations that are not open during MVMCP, such as Hall of Presidents, Tiki Room, Train. Dec 9 is a Tuesday, MVMCP should not be real crowded. Usually only Friday nights sellout, they may want to see what they can do on 12/9 and then buy the tickets for 12/11 if they want to do more.
