When we looked into buying from points from DVC directly, they said the minimum purchase was 150 points. If I buy a resale, and it is less than 150 points, are the points still good? Does this question make sense? I'm sorry if it doesn't!

Yes the points are still good and you can do that. Many owners have said that they have started by doing just what you are thinking about. It is a great way to go once every two or three years by combining borrowing and banking.
We started with a 60 point OKW resale purchase. We are recognized by DVC just as any other DVC owner. Since we only travel to Disney about every three years in the off season, we can get pretty good mileage out of these points.
We bought a small 30 point SSR in Dec - closed last month.... And we are thinking about buying another 100. Kinda sounds like we shoulda went for the 150 to start with - but we really only ever wanted 75 or 80 points.
The only reason we are considering adding the 100 (instead of 50) is due to the current incentives.
Thats exact the thing I was thinking of cause we live at Germany.
Example:
So if I would buy 50 points I could bank 50 from 2005, got 50 for 2006 and borrow up to 50 from 2007 then I could spent up to 150 in 2006 right?
I would be able to do this again in 2009.
