Lots of questions!

Can you add DDP on DVC?

If you buy SSR can you ever stay at DBWV or another resort?

Are the cruise points per person where is say ??? per week?

Whens the last time dues went up? How much did they go up?

Can you use a room code discount?

After you pay off the 16,000 or whatever you purchase all you have to pay is dues every year? Do you have to pay anything else?

Your in the club till 2045?

Will they come down on the price or is that firm?

Thanks so much for any info you can give us!!

We have already spent 19,000.00 going to Disneyworld (in 4 years). Dvc is looking better than I thought.

Hope this answers some of your questions

Lots of questions!

Can you add DDP on DVC? Yes, you can add DDP @ $39 per day for adults. It has to be added to your reservation before you arrive but is paid for at check-in.

If you buy SSR can you ever stay at DBWV or another resort? Yes, the only difference is the 'home' resort advantage. If you own at SSR, you can book there at 11 months out but only 7 months out for other resorts.

Are the cruise points per person where is say ??? per week? Points can be used for cruises. The point value varies but, yes, it's per person.

Whens the last time dues went up? How much did they go up? Not sure of the answer to this one. Somewhere there is a chart which shows the history of dues increases.

Can you use a room code discount? Not sure what you're asking here :confused3

After you pay off the 16,000 or whatever you purchase all you have to pay is dues every year? Do you have to pay anything else? Nope, just your dues each year

Your in the club till 2045? Depends where you buy. At SSR it's 2054.

Will they come down on the price or is that firm? I think the price per point is firm but there are often incentives running.

The average annual dues increase across all of the resorts is about 3.8%.

AKV contracts expire Jan 31, 2057, SSR: Jan 31, 2054, everything else: Jan 31, 2042.

Disney doesn't haggle on the price. There are different incentive programs from time to time. For example, you can get $8/pt off the list price at AKV at the moment and I believe a $10/pt discount off the price at SSR. The prices at the other resorts vary: $101/pt at BCV; $98/pt at BWV, VWL; slightly less at OKW, HHI and VB.

ETA: You can also purchase on the resale market. Haggling there is also somewhat limited because Disney has "Right of First Refusal". This means they have the right to review the purchase agreement and if they feel the deal is too good, they can step in, in place of the buyer and buy back the contract themselves. For a list of resales, click on the "DVC Resale Listings" link at the top of his page to see what's available at The Timeshare Store, this board's sponsor.

Can you add DDP on DVC?

yes - just please don't ask about "free" dining.

If you buy SSR can you ever stay at DBWV or another resort?

theoretically, but it can be difficult in practice. the rule here is "buy where you want to stay" (or at least where you won't be disappointed to stay.)

Whens the last time dues went up? How much did they go up?

dues go up every year - see below.

Your in the club till 2045?

most DVC contracts end in jan 2042. SSR is 2054 and AKV is 2057.

Will they come down on the price or is that firm?

disney's prices are firm. you can get better deals on large contracts (and sometimes easier access to sold-out resorts like BWV if that's where you prefer) if you buy resale...but if you negotiate "too low" of a price, disney has the right to buy it out from under you.

Historical dues per point per year:

Year OKW BWV VB VB(sub) HH VWL BCV SSR
2007 4.40 4.85 5.63 4.39 4.98 4.73 4.63 4.12
2006 4.24 4.69 5.27 4.12 4.34 4.61 4.48 3.98
2005 3.86 4.41 4.87 3.84 3.86 4.35 4.27 3.83
2004 3.68 4.25 4.67 3.67 3.70 4.22 4.18 3.80

Can you use a room code discount?

I believe you are asking if you can use a room code to reduce the points cost per room on DVC - the answer is no. The room code is for when you make your ressies through CRO. DVC is completely different, and remember, you are getting a much higher "priced" room through DVC. The studios run about $400 per night through CRO (depending on the resort/time of year, etc.)

You use your points for the rooms. If you need to pay cash because you are out of points/whatever, then there MAY be discounts that you can get as a DVC member. Again, depends on the time of year, etc.
