Can we? Should we? A Spring 2009 PTR - New 5/6 - The TR has begun!

This is the first of four posts about our different park goals... or maybe I should say MY park goals - since the kids don't know yet and DH keeps saying, "whatever you think".

Here are the things we want to do at MK:

Rides we don't want to miss:
• Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
• Splash Mountain
• Pirates of the Caribbean
• Laugh Floor
• Buzz Lightyear
• Winnie the Pooh
• Peter Pan
• It’s a Small World
• Haunted Mansion
• Mickey’s Philhargamic
• I’m sure there are other rides I’m not thinking of right now…

Other things we don't want to miss:
• Secret Pathway between Toontown & Tomorrowland
• Wishing Well between Castle & Adventureland
• Cartoons in Exposition Hall on Main Street
• Talking Trashcan… (Is his name "Push"?)
• Dole Whip Float (never had one & sounds like good use of a snack credit)
• Main Street Confectionary – FUDGE!
• Photopass - I signed up for a photopass share - our family isn't big on stopping for photos, but I figured for $20 we can try it out.

Dining:
• Pecos Bills
• Columbia Harbor House

Am I missing anything??

I noticed that, too.

Those goals look pretty spiffy! We have to really force ourselves to stop for Photopass pictures, too, so I always wonder if a share is the way to go for us or not.

Yes! Yes! Yes!!!!!! I can't believe I didn't put Wishes or Spectro on the list!! I guess it's because I have a specific date/time planned on the itinerary for those.

I don't have a specific site I use for codes - I just type in "Kmart coupon code" or "Kmart code" or "Kmart discount code" or whatever and see what comes up. I'll check out retailmenot! Thanks!

Oh well, you can still go to the gift shop... lots of Neat-O presidential and American history stuff in there!

That's good to know... that we can still visit the gift shop. Alex will like that. He has a presidents fandex (sans Obama) and he has practically memorized it! He has also created a new one including Obama.

I am disappointed about that, too -- I would love to see the new rehabbed version -- I guess we will have to wait until 2010.

The only things I see missing right off hand are the Jungle Cruise and Tom Sawyer Island. My boys would explore TSI for hours! We are definitely devoting more time there this trip. And JC is one of my personal faves...I'm a sucker for the cheesy humor!

I saw PUSH during my trip with my mother last year. I think I had read about him but hadn't paid much attention at the time. We saw him in Tomorrowland heading toward Fantasyland - sort of by the race cars.

And this guy was controlling him - at least the talking part! He has a little microphone in his hand.

I thought it was soo cool - the kids would have loved it!

Thanks - I think I got Nemo at disneyshopping. It was long sleeved so I cut off the sleeves. Then for Zach to wear it at home for trick-or-treat I bought him an orange fleece to wear under it. He still plays with the costume.

That must have been fun to be escorted from the park!
