Can we? Should we? A Spring 2009 PTR - New 5/6 - The TR has begun!

There was one exhibit at the SEE Science Center that was amazing. There is a HUGE Lego exhibit – an entire mill complex (the SEE Science Center is in one of the old mill buildings) was built out of Legos over a couple years. It’s huge!! I was surprised how interested Zachary was in the exhibit. I took quite a few pictures, including a couple that explain the exhibit:

hope things settle down soon for all.

School changes are tough, I hope Alex can find a way to get in his own groove. BTW 1st grade was the worst for Michael and things went up then back down, but have steadily been approving since. :goodvibes Hopefully the scales won't tip to severve in time for the big middle school adjust, oh yes 2 yrs away but I'm already

Hope you can keep that secret into till mid April!!!!

and I love the Disney books all over...I have a nice collection my self, even one from 05, just don't have the heart to toss it, it's like an old friend....

J-

Today was actually a better day. :goodvibes Things always go up and down, but this down has lasted WAY too long.

I'm more worried about Alex's behavior improving by mid-April than I am about keeping the secret. :rolleyes1

whoops, thought I had posted and then you posted again about the muesum. That is so sweet you got to have a special day w/ just Zachary. My DH has one of thos strobe light things....

This muesum sounds like one down in Hot Springs Arkansas that we grew up going to (my Dad's parents lived there when were kids).

The museum was fun - but the really good stuff what happened after the museum.;)

I really hope that things settle down with Alex soon. I know how frustrating it is when things are so unsettled all the time!

That Lego exhibit is amazing! All I could think about when I was looking at it was what the floor must have looked like when they were building it!! :lmao:
My boys get Legos out and they are spread from here to eternity...I find them with the broom, the vacuum, my bare feet (ouch)!

Can't wait to hear about the Disney store. All the ones in my area have closed. :sad2: :sad2:

Now on to the real fun on Monday… Since we were in Manchester I decided we should stop at the Mall of NH since they have a Disney Store!! I convinced Zachary to have lunch at the mall and he agreed the mall would be a good idea. They have a carousel so the first thing we did was take a ride. Then we came across the Disney Store on our way to the food court. Zachary was very hungry at this point – it was probably 1:30 already, but I convinced him to stop in the store before we ate. (I also bribed him with a gumball…) Here’s what I found:

I found two shirts for myself:

I thought they were 2 for $20, but I was wrong – Mickey rang up at $12.50 but that was OK because Tink rang up at $5 or $6. :thumbsup2

I picked these up for the boys:

Then we left for lunch, but on the way out I saw some placemats. I’ve been in need of some new kids placemats. Since I packed up the Christmas decorations, I’ve been down to two. So of course, after lunch we ended up back at the Disney Store! I don’t have pictures of the placemats, but they were 3 for $10 (normally $5.50 each) so I got a Mickey & the gang, a Cars and a Wall-E placemat. I also checked out the men’s t-shirts and got these for DH:

Unfortunately these were $12.50 each. Finally I found the kids t-shirts – they were all on sale. I got these two for Zachary:

They were $5.99 each. :woohoo:

Some of you may recall that Alex won’t wear short sleeves… he goes straight from long-sleeve shirts to tank tops in the spring/summer and vise versa in the fall. They didn’t have any tank tops there on Monday, but the CM told me that they did carry some last summer. I’ve looked on Disney Shopping.com and Zazzle and I’m not having any luck… any suggestions?? I don’t want to make shirts again this year because the shirts I made last year were really stiff with the iron-on designs and they didn’t hold up well in the wash. I have one or two that held up out of the 10-12 that I made for our last trip. If anyone comes across any Disney boys tank tops let me know…

Legos under bare feet are the worst!! :headache:
Disney shopping was so much fun!!

Love the Lego Mill!

The mill was amazing! You'll have to take Liam there when he gets a little older - it's very hands on. There was one area that was intended for just little ones.

One more thing I forgot to mention about our Disney shopping outing...

When we got to the mall, I told Zachary that I wanted to stop at the Disney store - he says to me, "Mooooommmmm, you need to stop talking about Disney so much - I'm not supposed to talk about Wii so much so you can't talk about Disney so much!" :rotfl:

Out of the mouths of babes!!

I'd bet that Wal-Mart would have Disney tank tops once their summer stuff is out. That's where I got all of Liam's Disney t-shirts for our trip.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that green Tink t-shirt! It's the second time I've seen the same one here on the DIS...I want one!!

I so wish we had a Disney Store here...I wanted to get the kids Disney Dollars for their Easter baskets, but I'm not paying the crazy shipping charge on the website.

Sounds like a great day with Zach...and I am so not above bribery! LOL! :thumbsup2

Michael has only one a POC one, that my Mom had found at the Disney Store, last year I think...to bad I can't swing over and let you borrow it;) but I'll keep an eye out for you...what size does he wear (seriously, I'm going to a huge childrens'clothing toy resale in a few weeks, if I see something for a few bucks I'll pick it up!)

I hope so... they just don't have any of that stuff out yet - soon enough. (Though that would be hard to tell right now with the snow falling again!)

We used to have one in our local mall, but it closed a while ago - luckily Manchester isn't too far away - but I probably only make it there once a year. :sad2:

That would be great - keep your eye open for me - I'll pay you... Alex is little he wears a 6 or 7 - I'd buy 7 if I had the choice - but he'll fit in a 6 if you see something. I suppose 8 would be ok too. Thanks!!! I should check the resale place near here too... hadn't thought of that. :thumbsup2

Hysterical! Good for you, Zachary! (At least he's listening!!) Don't feel bad, Amy, as our trips get close my kids tell me to knock it off, too!

Man, they won't let us get away with anything!

Congrats on the loot; you got some great bargains. I will keep my eyes open for Disney tank tees. :thumbsup2

And the Lego Exhibit....Wow! :tilt: Glad you got some 1:1 time with Zachary!

Kathy

The science center looks cool! :thumbsup2 That lego exhibit looks especially neat! We have a great science center here in Baltimore that we've been to a couple of times.

Love all of the shopping loot! :cool1: I bought that same Buzz t-shirt.

Great pictures, wow that Lego place was amazing. I am loving the Disney purchases!!

I'm still overwhelmed by the size of the Lego exhibit!

Zachary's really into science things - his favorite tv shows are "Sid the Science Kid" and "Zula Patrol" - he is always impressing people with his science facts!

Guess what I found tonight...

Disney tanks for boys!! (Or muscle shirts as these are called - more masculine!)

I discovered them at K-mart or more precisely - their website. They had two different designs. I bought both! I couldn't get the pictures to copy so here is a link:

http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_...ctions & Sets&aff=Y&sid=KAx20061023x272xTier3

http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_...=Clothing&cName=Boys&sName=Collections+&+Sets

$8.99 each (2 piece sets)! They were $9.99 each but I found a discount code online for 10% off. :woohoo: (Whenever I buy anything online I search for a coupon code first - I often find one!!)
