Can we? Should we? A Spring 2009 PTR - New 5/6 - The TR has begun!

Heidi - I guess what I mean is - is there such thing as an end unit - or a room at the end of a hallway... I can't really tell from the pictures. Does that make sense?

I am open to an SUV - I don't think we'd fit in a car with all of our luggage - we tried that once and it was not good. We had luggage between us, on the floor and on our laps. Maybe that was just a bad car?? We did have a stroller with us that time... But when I priced things out the specials they offer on minivans (199/week) are lower then the SUVs. Unfortunately, $199 isn't really $199 with the fees plus our two extra days. We'll see...

Luckily we don't have to go anywhere today - Zachary had an appointment that I was able to get him to early yesterday. The boys are home today however.

Don't miss my luggage post - I was posting the same time as you.

Oh Amy! Your new luggage is GORGEOUS! I'm so jealous. :goodvibes Love all of the different sizes - love the colors - and, of course - love the Mickey Heads! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear Alex's med's are not working for him...

Michael has been in a funk since before Thanksgiving, I am still hoping he pulls through it, but it is feeling like he may need a med adjust soon. We see his doctor in the 1st week of Feb, so we'll see if I need to call before that.

I know what you mean about the sleeping. This isn't releated to med's but you'd get kick out of it...I let him check out Harry Potter Year 5 audio book on tape (he read the book over the summer in 3 days to boot) and he just became obsessed listening to it before bed over break, which at first didn't seem to be an issue, but after realizing he wasn't falling asleep till well after 10 pm for almost a week and the bags under his eyes we had to cut him off. Whoops!:rolleyes1

good thing he is done finally!

anyhow I'm so glad the luggage looks great and that you are so excited. They look really nice, the boys will be SO in STYLE!:cool2:

When you give them the luggage maybe you should have a little bonus suprise like Disney $ or a g/c in the smallest one! JAT

We had a corner room if that's what you mean, but there was a walkway on both sides.

Love the luggage. And you so need it to nest into the bigger piece for storage in your room.

If you are taking all 4 pieces of the Mickey luggage plus luggage for you and DH then you will definately need a mini-van/SUV.

Thanks!! I love them all - I can't believe I got all of that including shipping for only $105!! We needed luggage because our extra large suitcase finally bit the dust after our last trip. I knew we would have to get some and I even told DH to ask his mother for luggage for Christmas. He didn't... and it worked out better this way. She probably would have paid $100 for one large suitcase.

After seeing him react to the meds, we have decided we like this Alex better the way he is. :)

It could just be the holidays and lack of routine - I'm sure your familiar with that. Hopefully he'll get back into his groove pretty soon.

Alex has been watching the video of his school holiday concert at night...

We'll definitely come up with something! Great idea! :thumbsup2

Yes - a corner room is what I meant and yes - I was curious if the walkway was on both side. Thanks!

I didn't think about the fact that we would need to nest the luggage in the room! Good idea! Of course if we have the car we can put the empty luggage in there. Hopefully the boys won't need all 4 pieces for just them - we'll see.

We don't travel light - an SUV or minivan will be a must. If we could use ME, rent a larger vehicle for the first two days when we'll have all of our luggage with us and then switch to a smaller car we could go small - but that just doesn't seem realistic. Still thinking about it...

I'm all caught up now Amy! :cool1:

And now that I've read through - I can understand your excitement about staying at CBR. Didn't realize you were originally going to stay off site. You're kind of in the same situation as us. :goodvibes

By the way, I saw the pictures of SL and SV. I haven't been to those places since I was a kid (did you know I was from Maine?). Maybe one of these days on a visit back home we'll take the boys there. Have you been to Fun Town in Saco before? I took the boys there this summer and we had a blast.

$100 makes them even nicer! :thumbsup2
Absolutely!

Love the luggage!!!

Thanks!! I think we'll be happy with it.

We always stay off-site since we own the timeshare. I only stayed on-site last year with my mom because it was two nights - it wasn't worth using up a week of our timeshare. This will cost us a little more than the condo, but I think it'll be well worth it! It's still not 100% definite - I'm waiting to hear for sure about DH's bonus. His company laid off 10 people today so that makes me nervous! We should know within a month and our package doesn't have to be paid/canceled until mid-March. I'm really hoping it works out. I'm sure you understand - being in the same situation.

I think I remember you saying something about Maine when you started your PTR way back when. :rolleyes1 We haven't been to Fun Town yet - but I'm sure we'll get there soon. We love SL - we've been every year for about the last 4 years. This year was our first visit to SV - we almost went back the weekend after Christmas but the weather wasn't good on the day we had tickets. SV offered free tickets to families effected by the big ice storm we had. Unfortunately we didn't end up using them. It would have been fun to see the place in Decemer.

a happy Alex is a Happy MOM

and thanks for the  too about Michael, off routine/schedule is what I am hoping. he alot of trouble this time last year, but it never seemed to ease up hence med adjust. Praying and hoping things will get back on track for him soon or he'll find ways to adjust himself w/out adjusting meds.

thanks, glad to have such a great friend, even though we live so far away from each other :goodvibes

So last night after the boys were in bed I had printed out a nice full color map of CBR then I went about my business of finishing loading the dishwasher, maybe folding some laundry, etc. Alex came out of his room to get some white computer paper to write on (he hangs out doing quiet things in his room for 30-60 minutes before he goes to sleep). The map was still on the printer. :headache:

He says, "Mom, what's that?"

I say, "Just a map."

He says, "Can we go there? It looks cool!"

I say, "Oh Alex, I don't even know where that place is." (A little white lie never hurt anyone when there's a surprise involved, right?)

He says, "Just type it in the GPS." and walks back into his room and shuts the door.

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Adorable!!! And quick thinking on your part -- I never would have been able to think of a response.

My kids spend about that long in their rooms at night unwinding, also. :thumbsup2
