On the last day of our trip we are planning on going to Downtown Disney for the afternoon and then to Chef Mickey's for dinner. We are not staying on Disney property so I wasn't sure if we could ride or if we would have to take our car.

This is the first trip for us, so I have been reading everthing on these boards for tips and ideas! Thanks for the help!!

Technically not really. Your are "supposed" to be a WDW resort guest to use their buses (but I don't want to start a battle about that and what I would do:p)

Probably the best thing is to either drive to the CR or you can take the DTD bus to MK and pick up the resort monorail (which you technically shouldn't use either), but hey, you don't have to be a resort guest to eat at the resort restaurants so you should be able to get there whatever way you can;)

No comment on whether you should use the buses, but there will be a bus from DD direct to any hotel and back until a certain hour late in the evening.

I believe that as long as you have a multi-day ticket it entitles you to use of the WDW transportation system, including buses, whether you are a WDW Resort guest or not. I'd definitely have no problem taking the bus from DTD to Chef Mickey's if I were in your situation.

Have a great trip!
