Can we put a NEW sticky on top????

I absolutely LOVE to look at everyone's scrapbook pages (especially Disney..who doesn't)

Now, I know there is a sticky for digital pages and a sticky for the vitual scrapbook. I was wondering if we could have another sticky put up here for just CRUISE pages. I'm going on our first DISNEY cruise in just 2 months and would love to see everyone's creations. I know I have seen a few scattered here and there but it'd be so nice to have it all in one place, like the others. I'm sure no one would mind a non-Disney cruise page either.

Just wondering if this is something that can be done and if so, how? Anybody else want to see a cruise scrapbook page sticky up there?

Yeah, that's what I was specifically looking for. I know there's two other layout sticky's but it's so hard to find the cruise layouts. I KNOW many people on here go on cruises (Disney or otherwise) so I thought it would be a great idea to have a place for everyone's cruise layouts!!!!

Whattya say....any else interested? Come on, ya know ya wanna see one.

I still have 2 months to go before we go on our first Disney cruise and I need some wonderful ideas on my upcoming scrapbook pages that I will need to do. LOL I have been on another cruise and have pages done from that one that I could share. But would really like to see all the cruise ones in one place.

Just throwing it out but as there's already loads of stickies up there maybe this would work?

Could we merge all the different stickies of layouts into one "our pages" type stickie and use that post to have links to threads of cruise pages, disney pages, general pages, pages with swap items, digital pages? That way we could have lots of different threads for different types of pages but keep the number of stickies on the scrapping board down so it doesn't take over too much? I am probably making no sense here but I'd be happy to set it up and maintain it.

Actually that makes great sense Queenie! That way, the cruise layout thread doesn't have to be stuck, but will still be instantly accessible via the link. How does that sound?

I think we should unsticky the digital and the CCS. The CCS is at 92 pages now and I know that the techs have decided to close threads that get to 250 pages. This one thread will eliminate losing threads to closers in the future.

What about breaking the Disney topics down even further so it is easier to find pages on specific parks or the resorts or characters?

I also second the idea of having the themes broken down to make it a little bit easier to navigate. We just got back from our 1st cruise in December and am very interested in looking at other people's pages for inspiration (especially cruise related!!)

I like the categories by park. Helps when you are looking for inspiration on a certain area/ride/etc.

On the other hand if you broke it up by parks/resorts, how would you do the paper/digital thing or do you want to combine that back together. Or how you have it now, what about those doing digital cruise pages? Or would we double post those, if desired?

I can certainly see having digital separate, but if you make a lot of topics would you really want to double them all for digital? But it's good to have digital separate, since many of the posters in that thread are new to digital and they want to know how to learn to do new things. I suppose maybe just one (or two.. disney/non-disney) digital threads is fine and then if we wanted to we could cross post into one of the themes.... cruising or parks or whatever.

Either way, I think new threads should be made, but the new sticky should still link to the old threads. Maybe lock them to ensure no new posts in them.

A lot to think about with categories! I just wanted to throw more on your plate when you are making the list so as to confuse you even more and make you grumble! But it's good to think of everything now before it's done rather then later!

What does CCS stand for anyway? And apologies for the bad grammar and randomness of my post, I'm just rambling along.

I agree with the idea of splitting by parks, it would also mean the threads won't grow so fast and wouldn't get culled as quickly.

I'd suggest threads for the 4 main parks and one for water parks/downtown disney. Resorts threads, possibly by category (deluxe, moderate, value) so there aren't dozens of them. Then a misc thread for other disney stuff, TTC/transportation/mini golf etc. Maybe a thread for the other Orlando parks would be useful, if it's not heresy of course! Universal/Sea World/KSC. Then a final thread for the cruises.

Only other thing I'd be interested is a thread for pages using swap items as so many of us have these lying around waiting to be used.

On the first post they list a photobucket account were you can go in and look at past creations...without having to scan the boards. It is broken down into ALL of these categories mentioned in an eariler post.

Then perhaps alterations to this Scrapbooking area of the DIS board wouldn't neccesarily be required?? Maybe? Just an idea to throw out there?!?
