During one of our days at Epcot and eating at ESPN, we were thinking of walking to the Boardwalk and letting the kids swim in the pool. Would this be allowed, do they check room keys?

No they do not allow guest to use the pools at resorts they are not staying in.

They do random resort ID checks at the Boardwalk pool, and they will make you pack up and leave if you can't produce a BWI/BWV resort ID.

The resort pools are sized for the guests at that resort. They're simply not big enough to allow non-guests to swim, and still preserve a decent experience for those paying to stay at the resort.

Thanks for the information. I thought we would save some time by swimming there since we would be in that area, as opposed to going back to POFQ where we will be staying. I sure don't want my DS's to get "busted" for mom and dad being at fault.
