can u use giftcards?

As I have mentioned before we are going to DL in the middle of January but we are supriseing our kids on christmas with the trip.. one of my ideas is to buy each of them a $100.00 gift certificate (I know its not alot, but they are only 4,10 and 13 so 100.00 each may seem like a lot to them) lol can they use the gift card inside DL or would it just be limited to the Disney Store in DTD? I want to get them something they can use wherever... hmmm some advice? thanks...

Other than some of the outdoor vending carts, you should be able to use the gift cards anywhere in the parks.

gosh I thought I was being stingy.. lol now to think of what else to give with them.. lol.. to much to think about.. I think I am the one who will be the most excited.. remember the disney commercial where the little boy told his dad he's to excited to sleep........lol......THAT IS SOOOOOOOOO ME..... it is so hard not to tell the kids...lol... but it will be all worth it to see their faces on christmas... lol...

Sounds like an extremely fun Christmas surprise, but oh my gosh that would be TORTURE for me to keep a secret like that for SO LONG! I would do it (keep it a secret), but it would be SHEER TORTURE!

$100.00 each is what I try to have for my boys too! I find if it is there money they are so carefull about what they buy! Disney dollars are another choice , but may be harder to fine. I am Dyin keeping this trip a secret , and i almost let it go every day............you have to keep quite longer then I do....good luck

Just to be specific, unless Disney's info is wrong, you can use them "except for fruit carts and outdoor vending locations, Names Unraveled, Jewel of Orleans, Silhouette Studio, Portrait Artists, Parasol Cart, Heraldry Shop, and Crystal Shops."

hubby and I where talking at dinner last night and mentioned "when we go to disneyland we need to do this and that if the weather wont be to cold and then we started talking about the flight.. NOT EVEN THINKING that we forgot the kids dont know... but to my suprise they did not catch on... lol.. whewwwwwww it is killlllllllllling me... but i have to be strong... lol..
