The Dream Maker package and the fairytale vacation package? I was looking at the disney website and saw the fairytale package there. What exactly is it? Is one less expensive for 2 adults than the other? Is one better than the other?

I'm not positive, but I think the Fairytale package was a buy 4 days get three days free for the entire party in the package. You could buy less days/get less days as well. This included lodging and UPH for the entire party. The Dream maker package has one child, age 10 or under staying free and playing free for each paid adult in the party. The Dream Maker package cannot be combined with discounts, and since kids stay free anyway you are saving the price of a UPH per each child under ten per adult staying in the same room. I'm sorry if that doesn't sound too clear. The Fairytale pkg. is a far better deal if it is available for the same dates (I'm not sure that it is?).

Nope, that version of the FTP was over several months ago. There is another version, but not nearly as good. Be sure to check all the "fine print" before you book.

I believe the pricing is basically the same. It is only the "extras" that come with the package that vary between the two packages.
If you put in your dates at the disneyworld.com site and look at pricing on both, I think you'll find they are the same for the same dates and room type.

I was wondering the same thing until I got quotes on both packages. They have a great comparison feature on disneyworld.com that puts up to 5 quotes into a chart. I found that for the dates I had chosen, comparing the exact same details, the Fairytale Package was about $100 more expensive. I was surprised because the 2003 FTP was such a great deal.

Things change from year to year, so one package may not be the same as a previous package. The FTP was extremely popular and I hope that the new package will be as well!
