Can someone point me to info on PIN in someone else's name to your address??

Question for those being denied - are you voluntarily telling the CM that there is a different name on the postcard/e-mail or is the CM asking you about the name?

I told the CM the name was different.

I got an email pin for free dining! I called and indeed it had my name and my Mom's address..but I could use it. So the rule seems to be it goes by the name not the address on the pin.

First of all dont blame the CM. That is disneys policy and they will get in trouble for booking it. Secondly, a lot of the reason this happens is when people book trips with their friends or family members and the CM says they need the other persons address and phone number, the answer will be "oh just put them under my address" or "oh they live with me *lie*"

My aunt traveled with me 2 years ago. I booked the room, used my credit card and when I listed her on the reservation all the CM wanted was her name and to know if she was over 18 (or under 10). I was never asked for an address. The last time I booked online there wasn't even a place to enter in an address for the other people staying in your room. I've received 2 pin codes to my address with her name and was unable to use them both times and when I asked to have it corrected in the system I was advised she had to call and update her own information.

Not going to go into family dynamics.

Can the person who's name it is in even use it since it's not their address? If not basically Disney's sending out a code that no one can use...seems fishy to me.

Yes, it seems if the name is yours you can use it. I got two pins, one in the mail with my Mom's name at my home address-I couldn't use that one. I got another one in my email with my name and I was allowed to use that one even though that one had my Mom's address attached to my name in Disney's system.

How bout if we use their CC to book it? Here is another wrench for us- the pin came with my dad's name on it at my address. Well- my dad HATES DW, HATES IT, but we made him go 2 years ago with us. My mom and I are now making it a mother/daughter thing since my dad refuses to go back.

What if my mom books the trip with my dad's CC? I think it's terrible that DW makes address/name mistakes like this and then expects us to deal with it. They have their system wrong- as my dad does not live with me- not even in the same state.

Couldn't hurt to call and ask. Maybe if she introduces herself as "MRS JOHN SMITH".
