So I booked a concierge family state room for our cruise in January on the Wish- very excited and it's our first cruise.

We've been to disney world many times and I have the reservation snagging down - but with this cruise it's so weird! Am I alone here? I was told to submit my requests via email and then WAIT a WEEK to find out what requests we were granted? This seems crazy to me- like why cant we just know if we got the cabana, reservation, tour etc.... do they always take a week to post? So confused.

You can make your requests up to a week prior to the 120 days when activity booking begins. Your request will go into the system based on the date/time stamp of the email request, and at 120 days it will be automatically processed. Particularly since you are on the Wish, if too many other concierge families also want a Cabana - you may not get it. Pretty much everything else you can expect to get.

Club level will determine who gets Cabanas first. There are folks that have cruised 25 or more times and are sailing Concierge, so they would get first dibs and so on.
Platinum used to be the highest level but now there is Pearl for 25 or more.

Reservation for Palo or Remy can also be made once you get on ship, if you do not get a reservation.

The Wish has a lot more concierge rooms than the other ships. So, more guests trying to reserve Cabanas and adult dining etc.

The Wish is s gorgeous ship and the Concierge Lounge looks fantastic! Enjoy!!

Isn't it just based on the order the emails were received? I've never heard of them basing it on club level before.

Cabanas, too. They sometimes keep a few unreserved exactly for this reason.

FYI it's 123 days now (they did that when they added Pearl). For Concierge you can still submit 130 days out, now you find out what you got 123 days out.

It's not so much about 'posting.' It's because 123 days out is the earliest booking window (for Platinum). Part of the benefit of Concierge is that you don't have to 'scramble' with everyone else at midnight ET when the booking window opens, you can submit your requests in an email and Shoreside will take care of all that for you. Then, when the earliest booking window is open in the app you can go in and see what you got (as PP said, you should get everything except maybe a Cabana). It's always been like that.

Unless you schedule it to go out (personally I wouldn't trust that, as I'd want to hit the button myself. But I know others who have done that and it's worked).

Even still, staying up until midnight to hit 'send' is much less stressful than trying to navigate a glitchy app/website to scramble to make multiple bookings.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but i'm in a similar position as OP here where I am not sure what I should be aiming to book as a concierge guest.

I know that I can ask for a cabana and its unlikely to get granted, and also ask for a Palo dinner for my wife and I the night we aren't in rotational dining, but otherwise i'm not sure what else to be focused on. My kids will be 12 and 7 and not sure they would be into the Olaf picnic but could be wrong. Anything major I should absolutely be thinking about?

Any other adult dining (enchante brunch, dessert experience, or dinner and palo brunch) you want. Any alcohol beverage tastings, bibbidi Bobbidi boutique appts, pirate makeover appts, spa services, shore excursions. If you think your kids might be interested in the olafs picnic I would book it now because it will sell out and you can cancel later if they decide the don’t want to attend.

Just to clarify... "rotational dining" is every night. It means you rotate among the Main Dining Rooms and your waitstaff rotates with you, so you have the same waitstaff each night regardless of restaurant. If you are on a 4-night cruise and want to do Palo on Pirate Night, you'll want to request it for Pirate Night. That is the one night you won't have the main/theme menu and/or show in the MDR.

Thanks for the clarification.

You might also request a list of dining rotations and then pick a specific one, if you want to have a particular dining room on Pirate Night (or as @lanejudy said, avoid it!)
