..how those accent teachers work. I would love to have a Southern accent. I don't care if I lose it quickly. I hate my voice and I want any type of accent. Only problem is the accent teachers probably cost a lot of money though. Right?

Accent Teachers? HAHA (Ok sorry, thats just funny)

I'd pay to be taught to talk like 'Elizabeth Swann' does. I can sound just like Tia Dalma. :teeth:

I have never heard of having an accent teacher, unless it was for a movie or something.

I'm fine with how my voice sounds. I lived in California for 6 years, and Texas for like, 9 years (off and on) and I don't have either accent.

That's what they said on a TV show, but I should know better, that I shouldn't trust TV shows. I'm not sure if it exists, but I think it does.

Man, those accents would be sweet to learn

I do a pretty good Indian accent, my parent's friends always crack up when I talk in my 'Indian voice'.

I can do a Tia Dalma accent, and I can attempt to do a Hermoine Granger accent.

What show did you hear it on?
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. It was where Estivan (sp?) wanted a certain accent so he went to a teacher. Instead he had a Southern accent because the teacher was from Texas.

They just teach you how to sound thing out, how to pronounce them phoenetically

like for instance

they would write it out like this to give you a british accent:

they wood righ' it ah-oot li'e this ta give yoo ah bri'ish accent.

(something like that)
it's all about phonetics.

I've learned tons of diferent accents just by watching movies and listening to people and stuff.
It's sort of my hidden talent.
My favourite accent is my "Katherine Hepburn" accent.
And I can do Miss Swann from MAD TV too.

I can do;
British
Irish
Scottish
Jamaican
Texan
Newfie
New York
New Jersey
Boston
Chinese
Japanese
French
German
Italian
Latino
....i can pretty much learn any accent.
Australian's pretty hard to learn though!

Well I have a southern accent I guess since I have lived in Oklahoma my whole life. I don't know if you mean a hick accent or what. I don't even know if I talk southern! I do say Ya'll sometimes though :)

Omgosh thats awesome! lol

Oh, I can do a really good British accent; one of my friends and I used to get on my dreadful English teacher's nerves talking like Bri'ish people all through her class. We did presentations and everything in our accents.

I can do a hick accent, too. I mean, really hick.

Normally I don't have that bad of a Southern accent, though.
