So I have been hearing about parking at the TTC. Isn't this the only place you can park? Or can you actually park at the MK? I am so confused. What are the advantages of parking at one over the other? Do they cost the same? Thanks.

Unlike Epcot, Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom, the Magic Kingdom doesn't have it's own parking lot where you take a tram and walk to the entrance gates, so if your planning on driving to the Magic Kingdom the parking lot across from the TTC is where you need to park.

The TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center) IS the parking lot for MK. If you are arriving in any way other than Disney bus from a resort, you will be arriving at the TTC. From there, you can take a monorail or the ferry to the MK. There is a tram that runs throughout the parking lot to get guests to the actual TTC area..that parking lot is huge!!

You pay $14 a day to park in any of the lots it doesn't matter which one you pick and it is only 1 charge per day so you can move your car as much as you want within that day.

so if you are a guest at the GF do you just park at the TTC and then tell them you are staying at the GF or do they have special instructions for GF parking?:confused3

The hotels each have their own parking. When you check-in, you will get a pass that shows your resort & check-out day. You can also use that for free parking at the parks.

A guest at GF would have no reason to park at the TTC. You can take a boat or the monorail to the MK. But, if you do drive to any park, you just show the parking pass that the GF will give you and you can park for free.

Noooo, the TTC is the parking lot for the MK....not the resorts. The monorail resorts (Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian) all have their own parking lots, for the guests who are staying at that particular resort.

And, for those curious, paid parking at Shades of Green (which is considerably less than the Disney rate) is valid at all Disney lots.
