Can someone explain MVMCP to me?

I'm still unclear about what shows are exclusively at MVMCP and which ones would be able to be seen during a regular park entrance. Are there differences--we are NOT going right at C'mas time. We will arrive the Saturday after T-giving. Thanks!

From Deb's website:

The Magic Kingdom comes alive Thanksgiving weekend in full holiday decoration. Almost overnight, wreaths, bells, a bigger than life Christmas tree and holiday lights adorn the Magic Kingdom.

A number of special holiday shows take place from mid-December on.

The Magic Kingdom Tree lighting ceremony takes place most nights on Main Street.

Country Bear Jamboree puts on a special holiday celebration you don't want to miss! (Usually runs throughout December)

Mickey's Night Before Christmas is performed several times daily beginning mid-December (Galaxy Palace).

Diamond Horseshoe Christmas Revue
Don't know when this one starts??

Celebrate the Season at Castle Forecourt is performed daily beginning mid-December.

Very Merry Christmas Parade is performed daily beginning mid-December.

That is why many who go in the beginning of December like to to MVMCP...most festivities don't start till much later in the month.

Also, remember that advance purchase tickets are discounted.

I believe if the weather is fairly bad (parade and fireworks washed out) they will give refunds.

Obsessed----the live performance shows at MVMCP are MVMCP-only shows, at least during the first weeks of December. (I don't know whether, like the parade, they become the regular daytime shows during Christmas week). So, for your visit, you'd have to go to MVMCP to see these. As I said above, the Country Bear's Christmas show is all day, every day during the season.

This is a great time of year to go. Try to make the MK and/or Epcot tree lighting ceremonies, and see the Lights of Winter and the storytellers and Candlelight Processional at Epcot. The Candlelight Processional dinner package is a pretty good deal if you go to any of the sit-down restaurants.

Thank you for the information about buying the tickets/etc. We may be able to buy them sooner- but with some huge debts being paid off by August- we're kinda strapped until then. Unless DH gets more overtime than I predict (hope hope hope) I wouldn't be able to buy the tickets for Nov 30 (the only MVMCP date during our trip) until August.
Whatcha think? Be sold out by then? I hope not!!!
