Can someone explain base tickets with the park hopper option please?

My mum is going to Florida in April and wants to visit MK and Epcot on the same day, but will be buying her ticket there.

We've tried to find information on pricing and options, but often get redirected to UK sites. So I just have a couple of questions on her behalf:

Do you have to specify which parks you want to visit (as the MK base ticket costs more than the other parks)?

If so, is it cheaper to ask for a MK base ticket and add the option to hop to Epcot, or ask for an Epcot base ticket and add the option to hop to MK?

Or does the hopper include all the parks, or do you have to ask for a 2-park, 3-park or 4-park hopper?

Sorry if I've not made much sense, but being used to the UK tickets, I'm a little confused about all the options.

You don't need to specify which parks you'll be visiting. The hopper allows admission into all 4 theme parks.

Just a one-day visit to 2 parks? She'll need a one-day ticket with park hopper. Current price is $142.71, including tax. It doesn't matter which 2 parks. The price differential of MK vs other parks balances out once the hopper is added.

It looks like a one-day park hopper is the same price no matter which park she buys it, so you lose the small savings of the one-day non MK ticket. You don't have to say which parks you're going to; you can even do all four if you want.
