As classic and cool as the original Tiki room is, I just can't shake the feeling that its time has come and gone. It's wasn't one of the more popular attractions, so naturally they changed it. Now it's apparantly even more not popular, so it makes sense that they'll change it again. QUOTE]
LOL try saying that over on a
Disneyland forum and duck.... this attraction is timeless and very entertaining.... if WDW had kept it maintained properly back in the late 80s/early 90s this conversion to UNM would have likely never happened.
WDW - dumbed down the show to be Hip.....and fixed the attraction building.
DLR - shortened the original a bit, but otherwise it is the same show...and fixed the attraction building.
WDW - UNM is mentioned as much as the Tomorrowland Stitch attraction as being the most reviled on WDW property
DLR - Has special merchandise events for the their Tiki Room, special events such as the birthday of the attraction, and they even have the Tiki Room song as part of their Remember Dreams Come true fireworks presentation.
Moral of the story is: Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room has people laughing, singing, clapping, etc!!!! The WDW's Under New Management show is a much "different" affair....
