Can I request more bedding before we arrive?

We are arriving on a very late flight to UOR. It will probably be at least 2 AM when we get to CBBR. My kids always need more blankets. Would I be able to request extra blankets before we are actually there? Maybe if I do online check-in? DH and I were at CBBR last June and it took 45 minutes to get an extra blanket. That's fine normally, but we will really want to get to bed ASAP.

Oh, also, do they still do the thing where you can text housekeeping with requests?

You can certainly try, but don't be surprised if it doesn't happen. We stayed at Portofino in August. I called ahead of time and asked if the rollaway we requested could be in the room upon arrival (about midnight). The person I spoke with said that they would note the request.

When we got to the room...no rollaway. Since we just wanted to go to sleep, we made do for that one night. The next morning, I texted housekeeping on our way out to the parks. Came back around 4:00, still no rollaway. I then called housekeeping and the rollaway was brought up as we were heading out to dinner.

I'd stop at the desk and ask when you arrive.

You're more likely to get them quickly that way, I'd think, being "the obviously tired body at the desk asking" rather than an easily disregarded text in advance.

After all, they don't know you'll actually arrive when you text beforehand.

Yes once checked in, you can text for toiletry, etc requests. I did that this weekend and hope this feature stays around forever… it’s so convenient!

I am here now… You definitely want to check in online .
I checked in last night online from phone text.

. I suggest you check in online and will receive the text that your online checkin was received…and then call and make your request the evening before and Make note of team member name and time of phone call . They will be more likely to complete your request hopefully.
I was here last weekend for one night and just returned for one night …only one extra blanket and one extra pillow in closet for family suite .

Now that I think about it the text last week included the request for early check in or upper level near elevator, etc ,etc but the text last night did not give me the option to make those type of pre arrival requests.

Very confusing with all the online mobile , scan QR codes , No daily housekeeping at hotels and resorts.

Hmm. We will use online check-in. I've decided to bring some blankets from home. I have a compression bag that works well, and we're flying Southwest, so can easily take an extra suitcase with bedding, food, etc.

We are here now and put the notes in when we made the reservation, and when we did online check in for 2 extra blankets. Front desk even confirmed the request when we picked up the tickets. We did not get the extra blankets which are just bed covers. Club level concierge got them to us in 10 minutes when we passed by the club lounge to ask.
