Can I purchase my DVC discounted AP in WDW?

I arrive 12/31... really don't feel like standing at window for hours and hours doing this if it's a difficult thing. BUT - I want to get all my Christmas shopping done on my Disney Visa to rack up as much points as possible to offset the costs of the AP's. So it may be worthwhile for me to wait till last possible second to purchase.

Has anyone waited until the arrive to purchase DVC AP...was it a hassle, even if it is possible?

You can purchase at any Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location, including the Guest Relations Locations at Downtown Disney. The Resorts do not sell them.

You will need your DVC Member ID card and all adults (ages 18 and up) will need to show a photo ID with the same address as on the membership.

Are the guest relations line unbelievably long on NYE... like the parks?
