Can I get the extra day free!

We are headed Back to PORS for fathersday. I'm looking at the 4 day connection plus pass for our park entry. Can we use the Plus feature outside of the four days??? Were driving over night from Texas and will arrive mid morning on thur. Can we take the kids to a water park as a plus feature then start our four days Fri???

I thought DM and DD's could water park while I slept and then we could all hit Illuminations that night? (can you still get in free to see it???) basically gettting us an extra day at disney for minimal outlay.

You can use the "plus" feature any time you choose. So yes, you can start your visit with a day at one of the waterparks.

You cannot get into EPCOT to see Illuminations without using a ticket. As an alternative, you could spend the evening on the Boardwalk and catch the "higher level" fireworks from there. (You cannot see the portion of Illuminations that takes place on the lagoon without being inside the park standing somewhere around the lagoon). Or, you could watch the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach of one of the monorail resorts. In either case, you could eat dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. Another alternative is an evening at Downtown Disney or a character meal at one of the resorts. I'm sure there are many more ways to spend that first evening without using a day of your hopper ticket.
