I have not been to the Italian pavilion in quite some time. I've heard the pizza is really good at Via Napoli. Is there a walk up window where I can get a slice to go?

There IS a walk up window where you can get just a slice, but the pizza isn't the same pizza as they serve in Via Napoli. From what I hear it's not great, to put it mildly.

I've heard this as well. I guess your best bet would be going inside and ordering.

They don't do take away though. You gotta sit down, order the meal and eat there. If you really want it to go, you'll have to cut it into slices and put it in one of those small doggy bags. Much better idea to eat there!

Yes. But don't waste your time. It's so bad we should have returned the slices that we bought. We will never order from there again.

No matter, because the takeout slice window is no longer there. The restaurant itself does not accept takeout orders. Some have reported making a reservation, going in, ordering a pizza and boxing it up to take along rather than eating it there. But if you go that route, you'll have to stack the slices in styrofoam leftover containers because they won't give you a pizza box.

That's too bad. I wonder why they won't do that?? It'd be nice to walk around WS eating a slice of pizza! :thumbsup2

Its speculated that the take window closed because:

  • it wasn't great pizza (never had it)
  • there was confusion on who made the pizza at the window and the restaurant group that runs Via Napoli may have had it closed

As for why Via Napoli doesn't sell it for take it is because I guess they don't want to be a take out pizza place and I think the pizza they sell is not carrying around pizza.

I liked the pizza at Via Napoli :confused3

Do you mean inside or outside?

Outside at the window it was not pizza made by Via Napoli and like I posted I never had it but most either didn't like it or were upset that it wasn't the same pizza as inside.

Inside. I didn't know they had the outside. I really don't care for Italian (well, i have probably only had "Americanized" Italian food) But loved all the food we ordered at Via Napoli - Inside ;)

Right before Via Napoli opened there were a few posts on whether or not they would have take out. Tons of people were dreaming of buying a pizza and walking it back to their Epcot resort.

Many posted that based on their other properties that you would be able to and would have to sit.

Well as soon as it opened I know of one poster that insisted that they were going to get take out. They made an ADR, sat down and the one person ordered a large pizza. The confused wait staff brought it out and then the poster asked then to wrap it up she was leaving.

Well I saw the proud pictures they took in their room of 4 or 5 stryofoam clam shell take out containers packed to gills with stacks of limp, very expensive take out. :thumbsup2
