I want to know the answer to this too... my family would love the Kona Cone, & I want them to have a chance to experience it, but I don't know if we'll get a chance to have a full meal there...

Another question... and a long shot... but nevertheless... any chance they'd be able to give a Kona Cone for dessert at an 'Ohana dinner?

Usually not, but you could always ask, and hope for some pixie dust.

When I stayed at the Poly in May 2007, my family at at Kona Cafe. I was stuffed after dinner but the desserts looked so good! I asked our server if I could come back later to get a dessert 'to go'. She said I could. I came back a bit later to do this where I was told 'no'. When I explained that the server said I could and if I had known it would have been a problem, I would have gotten the dessert at that time and stored it in my room. They were NOT nice about it and said they could not process 'to go' orders. I asked for a manager to speak to and got nothing. I will say this - it was one of the worst Disney experiences I had and I will not fault the rest of the resort or Disney for this mishap but I will warn you about it! If you want dessert there, eat there and have them 'box up' your leftovers. Of course, you can ask and they may have changed their policy since then. As we've all seen and heard, sometimes it depends on the CM that helps you out - good luck!

OH - another suggestion though, sometimes Capn Cooks has some of the same desserts so check out the quick service spot first and see if anything appeals to you. Better yet, get something to go at Epcot's France Bakery - YUM - those will last a couple days in your room :goodvibes

We stopped by there late in the evening they were packed. Ask the hostess if we could get a couple desserts to go and she said sure. We took them down to the beach to eat and watch the fireworks. You can also order them as the Kona Sushi bar that is next door.
