It will be my girlfriends daughters Birthday when we are there in October. We are planning a party for her on Saturday night at the cabin we are staying in and want to have a cake. Do we have to drive out or do you think we can arrange to get one onsite. Thanks.

I don't remember seeing anything like a b-day cake at either trading post. If no-one has any ideas, I would contact guest services at FW and see if they can help you. You never know, there is so much Disney Magic around maybe they can get something from one of the restaurants for you. Never hurts to ask!

Hi,
We were just at Fort Wilderness last night for my son's 6th birthday. We live nearby and he wanted a "cowboy" themed birthday. What a treat! We got a campsite for one night. He got to ride a pony and ride in a horse drawn wagon. But the best, most surprising, part for us was at the Trails End restaurant. We mentioned it was his birthday while we were ordering our drinks. The waitress surprised him with a piece of chocolate cake with a candle! They had him stand up on a chair and the whole restaurant yelled "YEE HAW!". Then they gave him a Disney birthday card where EVERY one of the waitstaff signed it!!! When he left he said it was his "best birthday ever!". So, I don't know if they will deliver a cake to your cabin...but they do have carry out service and I would certainly ask! They went way beyond the call of duty without us asking!I can't imagine what they'd do if you ask! Have a great trip!

Thanks so much, we are really looking forward to this trip! Thats so great what they did at Trails end, I am sure she will have a great birthday just being at Disney World.

We got a small cake from Trails End one year for my DH's Birthday. I just asked a few days in advance and they had one ready for me.

HtH!

Just got back yesterday.

I called ahead a few days and had a custom cake made for my wife's birthday. The cake was personalize with her name and a plastic Mickey on top. They asked me for the flavors I wanted also. I believe the cake was about $20. I was able to pick it up at the Trail's End take out counter. The CM was pretty confused about what I was asking for. Doesn't sound like many people do that.

But you can also have it delievered to any resturant on property.

Also make sure you get and wear the birthday button. My wife had dozens of people wish her a happy birthday. And most places we ate gave her a special dessert--even the counter services places.

Thanks! Thats so great to hear that you got a cake made for your wife. I will be sure to have my girlfriends daughter wear a Happy Birthday button on that day, we would have never thought of it before.

pgowder- thanks for the picture!!

OP- if you PM me I have a boatload of info that I have put together on where buttons are etc. for birthdays as I get to spend my 35th birthday in the World next year and I am a planner!!

Also make sure you wear the button during parades. If the characters see it they'll stop and wish you a happy birthday!

My wife was excited when Ariel leaned out of her float to wish her happy bday!!
