Hi all. I need some bakers' advice. I make a baked apples dish comprised of peeled and chopped apples, cinnamon, and raisins. I bake them in a casserole pan at 375 for about an hour... until bubbly and the apples are soft. It's served warm, topped with vanilla ice cream (IT'S SO GOOD). Here's my dilemma. I want to make it ahead so I'm not so rushed on Christmas day. Do you think I can bake this dish and then stick it in the freezer, then thaw it in the fridge and re-heat in the oven on Christmas day??? It would still be good, right?? I've never frozen apples before.

TIA!!!! :goodvibes

Well I almost always have bags of frozen sliced apples and pears in my freezer, complete with cinnamon & sugar. I use these to make an apple crisp/pear crisp that my family loves. I do not prebake, I just prep and freeze the fruit, put it in a Ziploc and freeze it. When I'm ready to use it I take it out, let it thaw, bake it up. Turns out great every time, no one ever knows it was frozen fruit. :)
