Can I double up: DDP and DDE?

Is it possible to use the dining plan for eats and the DDE for "liquid refreshment"?
I will be at WDW on the DDP at the beginning of Sept, and again a few weeks later without the DDP, so I will get the DDE card for that stay. Can I go ahead and get the card and use it for $$ off our booze the first trip? Or is that considered double-dipping?

Yes, you can use them together -- if you qualify for the DDE card. You would have to be an AP holder or Florida resident to qualify.

Yep, I'll be getting an AP the first day of the first trip. Used DDE a couple years ago when when I had an AP and it saved me a TON of $$.
