...if they send me all their information?

I'm supposed to fly home on Friday for Christmas with my parents. But. One of the speech providers who works with 2 of the kids in my class - and was with one all of lunch on Monday - just tested positive. :( I'm not considered a "close contact" by the Board of Ed's definition because though I was in the room I was mostly (it was my lunch too...I'd eaten most before ) I was more than 6 feet away (and I'm vaccinated which the DoE says makes me exempt...though we all know that's a lie) - but I'm feeling super guilty about going. If I expose them and they get sick period (much less having to miss their cruise) I will never forgive myself. So I'm 99% sure I'm going to cancel (yes, I'm bawling typing this right now because I don't want to be alone on Christmas and I don't want to miss seeing them - even though I feel like it's the right thing to do) my trip home.

They were having issues with the Safe Passage thing and we think they got everything done other than uploading their vaccine cards, and I was going to help them finish when I got home.

If they send me those and their safe passage log-in info, can I complete it for them from my place? Trying to do it over FaceTime is just not happening - it just frustrates my dad.

Yes, I created an account for and uploaded all my husband's info since I knew it would be easier all around instead of him asking what to do every step of the way LOL!! Love him but he is not compatible with stuff like that.

And just wanted to say that as hard as it is to not go home and see family its probably for the best right now. Stay safe and enjoy your cruise!!

In our house, DH filled out the forms for me.

I do have my Safe Passage login information saved, and I have visited the site to be sure I can access it if needed.

Just make sure you remember the passwords you decide on and the email addresses you use for each of them!

I did my sis' and just had to make sure that it was an email address that she had access to via her phone. :D

Each adult over age 18 has to have a unique email address associated with their account for login purposes....an access code gets emailed to them when setting up account.....I had to do this for my parents and just called them as they checked their email and got the codes....if they don't have email, I suppose you would have to set up a "throwaway" email (gmail, yahoo) for this purpose.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are needing to cancel your trip! We also had our plans canceled, so you have my sympathies. That said, I think you are doing the right thing in putting your parents' well-being before your own. And kudos to you for trying to help them navigate the system. You are a good child!

They each have an email address. They are just stuck on the uploading pics (sister was home to help them with the online check in).

They spoke with their doctor after I texted them and given that we are all vaxxed - and they're honestly probably getting more exposure ushering at Tennessee Performing Arts Center - and the distance, etc. I was from the colleague (who was masked as was I other than bits for taking a sip of my soda) he told them "Let her come, and enjoy your time together."

I have been my husband on the internet for years. 😜

Just make sure they know their username and password, and know how to log into the website at the port. Also have them bookmark the website (or have it handy in a text message). The results are shown faster on the website than on screen.

If you know their username and password, you can do anything for them and see their status. They can scan and email the vaccine card to you or take a photo. I think it only works with JPGs and not PDFs though. Also make sure the card has all of their pertinent info filled out (eg a lot of people were missing birthdays on the cars).
