Can I bring my glass baby bottles into the park?

I really don't want to purchase new bottles again. I started out with the Dr Browns plastic, then bought glass with all the BPA controversy. My daughter is 16 months old now and only uses the bottles at nap time and bed time. So, I was thinking of bringing one to the park, just in case she needs to nap in the stroller. Thanks!

Oooh, good question. We use glass too, and though DD8mo doesn't particularly care for bottles I do plan to have one with us just in case. I didn't even think to wonder whether or not it'd be allowed in the parks.

This is from the WDW website.

Q. Are there any personal items I should not bring with me into the Theme Parks?

A. Items that you may not bring into the Theme Parks include, but are not limited to:

Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
Alcoholic beverages
Weapons of any kind
Folding chairs
Glass containers (excluding baby food jars and perfume bottles)
Pets (unless they are service animals)
In Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park (for the safety of the wildlife), balloons, straws and drink lids are not permitted.

It only excludes baby food jars so I would say you probably cannot bring it. I am not sure though. You could try e-mailing Disney and ask. If the baby just needs it for a nap I would just buy one plastic bottle. I think most of them are now BPA free.

Have a great trip.

I would think if you can bring in glass baby food jars, then glass baby bottles are allowed too. What's the difference?

I would think so too, though it could be that the rule is outdated and was intended only to make exceptions for things that didn't come in plastic. I try not to buy plastic if there is a reasonable alternative, not just for the BPA issue but also because of the permanence of plastics from an ecological standpoint, so if I still feel like we need that "just in case" bottle by Sept I'll be sure to report back on the response I get at the gate.

In Oct/Nov '08 we were there and my bro and sis in law used the glass Dr. Brown bottles for their then 9 mo old. They had no problems, no one said anything about it. They were in the bags every morning that were checked by security and never questioned.
