Can Fantasyland take a whole day?

Between attractions and meet & greets and eating...we are planning 2 days plus the MNSSHP in MK, and for one of the days I wanted to do BoG for lunch and BBB then CRT for dinner, and do Fantasyland in the morning/early afternoon. Is this enough to fill up a whole day? And will we have enough time to cover the rest of the park the other day(s)? We have two girly girls so I kind of wanted to do a whole fairy tale/princessy day. I know that's probably weird, but I'm a theme person :)

No, that's about a half day. Fantasyland really isn't that big and the new addition only had 2 open attractions.

No. A couple of hours. :) Of course, this can vary depending on what time of year you are visiting.

I agree that it would take until after lunch but if you add Merida and Tinker Bell I could see that going until dinner.

This is what I was thinking. I know the attractions won't take all day, but I wondered if standing in line for all the characters would eat up time (and my girls WILL want to meet them all!). We can always hop on over to another area for a while, not a huge deal, was just thinking since we're ending with dinner in the castle (I hope!) it would flow better if we were in fantasyland mode all day. But I'm sure it won't matter too much either way.

I can see spending an easy day in just Fantasyland and maybe add in Liberty Square too. Start with PP and ETWB since those lines will build up fast. Try to do BBB before doing M&Gs so the girls will be all dressed up. Ride some of the other rides and visit Ariel and merida at their M&Gs. Then head over for lunch at BOG. After lunch, let the girls burn off some energy playing in the Dumbo tent before the ride. Then the Barmstormer and the circus tent M&Gs. Don't forget to check out the big top; there's some cool stuff to play around with there. Watch Philharmagic and maybe ride the Liberty boat or play a round of SotMK before dinner at CRT. You may have to rush for a fireworks spot or watch from the restaurant. If they are wearing dresses, have them put their dresses on over their regular clothes so they can take them on and off easily.

You can get your fill all at once in a half-day, but you can never get enough of it overall. What I mean is, half-day sure but you'll want to re-experience that half-day again and again throughout the trip.

Hmm, am I the only one who thinks it might easily take the day? I remember waiting a long, long time to meet some of those princesses! We've never visited at a peak time, but there's always plenty of small children happy to wait in line for the characters.

The real problem would be that meeting all of the princesses in one day may not even be possible, so I wouldn't count on that. My kids wanted to meet them all, and on our first visit it took a day at Magic Kingdom, a day at EPCOT (where we knocked several off the list at the Norwegian castle), and then another day at Magic Kingdom (when we finally got to Snow White).

Now, that's definitely not all we did the first day at MK, but again it's not always possible to do it that way, b/c some characters only appear at certain times, etc. And while I do think we probably spend close to a day in total chasing down princesses, lol, it would not have been fun to do so for hours at a time. It's worth it, if your kids love it, but it's best interspersed with some more lively activities. These days, I think there's a fast pass for the main princess greeting, which lets you knock out several a bit more quickly.

Of course, you may be lucky, and your kids will be happy with not meeting every. single. princess!

We can always while away plenty of time in any land shopping, people watching, and searching out snacks.

Please realize that all of the Princesses are not in Fantasyland. You will see four at CRT (last time for us it was Belle, Snow White and Arial at the dinner and Cinderella before dinner). Then you have Merida at a separate M&G but still in Fantasyland.

Rapunzel is near the beginning of Main Street
Jasmine is in Adventureland
Tiana by the Castle and the Christmas shop off Main Street
Aurora is at the Another M&G across from Rapunzel on Main Street with Cinderella and Belle ( I recommend seeing her in France at EP since you've seen the other two)
If you consider Pocahontas a princess she is at AK.

All of these individual M&G can take around 1 1/2 of just wait times depending on you prioritization and timing. Read up on the other threads discussing strategies. We did all of them last year and it took multiple days but one morning we did Rapunzel, Jasmine and Tiana and we were done my 11 in June.

In my opinion, this will take up most of the day. Allow at least 60 for BOG, 90 minutes for CRT, 60-90 minutes for BBB (if they're running late) You can go and meet some of the other Princesses, not all of them are in Fantasyland.

Belle now only meets at Enchanted Tales
Aladdin meets with Jasmine in Adventureland
Snow White meets in Main St
Rapunzel, Aurora and Cinderella are meeting in Town Square
Merida meets at Fairtale Garden.
Tiana meets in Liberty Square (Naveen meets with her after 5pm)

Tink is currently meeting with Rosetta in Adventureland

Gaston meets near his tavern in Fantasyland
Fairy Godmother meets just behind the castle
Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella meet behind the castle.

The Princesses at CRT are usually Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora/Sleeping Beauty, Ariel and Jasmine. None of the characters are guaranteed but if one of them is sick, they'll usually be replaced with another Princess.

BBB, BOG, CRT, meeting princesses, and all the attractions - small world, peter pan, philharmagic, pooh, dumbo, tea cups, ariel, belle, barnstormer.

The above can easily take all day, especially if you take it at a child's pace.

I think it will def take a full day to do everything you listed. I would suggest getting there at RD and doing all of the rides/shows in Fantasyland. You could schedule BBB for 11 or so, and then lunch. You could even do BBB after lunch if you wanted. After lunch do all of the M&Gs. You will spend a good bit of time in line but as long as you are ok with that it will be relaxing. As mentioned, the M&Gs are all over the park so you will get to walk around for a while. You can also do any other attractions you didn't have time for earlier. Then CRT for dinner will be a nice finish to the day.

I have no doubt you can fill up a day unless you are there in a low crowd season with short standby times.

Most people do not do everything there... but if you did...

Pooh, Teacups, Dumbo, Barnstormer, Carousel, Ariel, Small World, Peter Pan, PhilharMagic.... lunch.... characters....

I see 4-6 hours on attractions alone assuming 3 Fastpasses!

Just adding more M&Gs to the list (not Princess themed, but in Fantasyland):

Pete's Silly Sideshow has 2 lines; one for Goofini/Donaldo & one for Minnie/Daisy. That alone will take about 30 minutes during a slow season, to clear the lines 2 times.

Alice and White Rabbit meet next to the Tea Cups, Alice is only available in the morning and early afternoon so that's one to do earlier in the day.

Tigger & Pooh meet next to their attraction, depending on when you hit that line it can get long as well.

Thanks for all the tips guys! We will probably just do the M&G in Fantasyland, and meet the rest of the princesses when we get to their respective areas, especially since we're planning for CRT for dinner. We're going during October so hopefully all the lines won't be super long but I'm sure it'll still be busy enough!

I think you have it correct. Sure you could do just the attractions and some meet & greets in a half day, especially if you are there at rope drop and move at a quick pace. But, if you want to factor in BoG lunch (with a wait of who knows how long), a CRT dinner, AND BBB, then a full day is a good plan. And like others mentioned, adding in Tink and Merida will for sure make that necessary. And it would be soooo much more fun for your girls to see Tink and Merida in their BBB costumes.

Yes, there are only 2 additional attractions and 1 M&G in New Fantasyland, but the area now covered by NF and the storybook circus section makes the whole Fantasyland very large. It's a trek from one end to the other! Plus, I think a lot of people skip some of the FL things like Philharmagic, carousel, etc. but if you just take the day at a reasonable pace and really enjoy ALL there is to offer in FL, that is a full day for sure. Plus there are often other M&G there besides the princesses - Alice is sometimes by Mad Tea Party, wicked stepsisters by Carousel, the new M&G at storybook circus (Minnie, daisy, goofy, Donald), etc.

How fun to have a girly princess day in FL - I am jealous!!! Enjoy!
