Can discounts be applied when they come out?

I know I should know this but I want to be sure. If I book a trip for Nov. 09, can I apply a discount later on if Disney releases one? The last few years, Disney ran discounts for most of the fall; we took advantage of this in 07 and it was a great deal. Thanks DISers!

Yes, if the discount applies to the room and resort you've booked. There are only a limited number of rooms available on each discount, so you'd have to move quickly before it sells out.

Otherwise, they can just re-book you if you're flexible about rooms/resorts, cancel your original reservation and apply the discount.
