Can anyone suggest a decent counter service place to eat at Hollywood Studios?

I am trying to do some planning for food at each park and we plan to eat on the go while at DHS. Does anyone have a favourite spot to grab a quick sandwich or pizza at this park?

when laura and i want pizza or salad we go to the take out by muppet 3d. I cant remember the name of the place but it serves similiar menu to pizzafari at ak. As you pass star tours and are entering where the muppet fountain is turn left. It kind of looks like a warehouse. It can be noisy inside so we sometime sit outside.

Our last trip my DH and I ate at Min and Bill's Dockside, I had a grilled chicken caesar sandwhich and my DH and sausage and peppers. Both were very good and quick.

dvc deernut is referring to Pizza Planet Arcade. A good choice. I would also add Studio catering company and ABC Commissary.

Toluca Legs Turkey Co on Sunset Blvd just before the split for Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster has a very tastey pork sandwich and ceasar salad.

A counter service we like has always been

ABC Commissary

They are a lot of options

Have a great trip

Starring Rolls is the all time best counter service. Esp if you have the dining plan. They have amazing turkey or ham deli sandwiches and the best cupcakes in the universe! With 1 cs credit you can get a sandwich, chips or fruit, a drink, and a dessert. They have amazing desserts not the standard packaged brownie like other cs.

Absolutely agree with stazmatic :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 for Starring Rolls. The sandwiches are huge and fresh and the desserts are first class and delicious. The trick is to get there fairly early. Once stuff is gone, it's gone.

Starring rolls!!!! Check out some of the cupcakes at walt disney world food blog. The pictures are great and really look so yummy! Have fun!!

This. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

There sandwiches are so big my DD and myself can share one. And, the cupcakes......:cloud9::love:

Another vote for Starring Rolls!

If you like BBQ, Fairfax Fair has a great pulled pork sandwich.

Ditto...always eat here! Love the sandwiches, but red velvet cupcakes...:lovestruc

Yep, I'm on the Starring Rolls band wagon. We try to plan our meals to not eat burgers and fries. Even my DD loved the sandwiches at SR.

The desserts are to die for....:cloud9: We split the red velvet and the peanut butter chocolate cupcakes. DH got the banana split cake.

Overall, we have not had a bad meal at DHS. It gets knocked for having bad CS but I don't see it. The one place that gets the worst reviews...ABC Commissary....we love and have eaten there many times.

The only thing I eat at the ABC Commisiary is the chicken curry and it is yummy, even my kids love it. You also get a huge portion so we generally split.
I do enjoy Starring Rolls but that is mostly for the dessert options;).

Another vote for Starring Rolls! We got a huge turkey sandwich, a piece of fruit, 500mL of chocolate milk, and a cupcake for 1 counter service credit last time. The meal was big enough to split for 2 adults (not that we did because we wanted our own cupcakes!) I just saved the banana for my afternoon snack. I had their white chocolate and red velvet cupcakes in the past and both were very good (though red velvet is slightly better). DH had the chocolate cupcake and I think PB cupcake(?) from previous trips and he devoured them as well.

Toy Story Pizza Planet is our #2 choice. We used to get their veggie pizza meal (comes with a salad), chocolate milk, and the Mickey rice krispie for our counter service credits. I understand the Mickey rice krispie is no longer offered, which is a bummer as I often saved it as my afternoon snack.

Another vote for Starring Roll! But the tables are all outside so if it's cool or raining I would do somewhere else.
