Can a trip w/ friends make up for an unmagical trip with the BF?-Final Updates 12/30!

Okay, Betsy - seriously... if we do get in a girls trip during F&W in 2012 or 2013 - I can assure you between all of us 'planners' it would go off without a hitch. The right hand would know what the left hand was doing or risk being slapped... :lmao:

I'm sorry there have been annoyances on your much anticipated trip - but so proud of you for venturing out on your own! I would enjoy that kind of time, as well! :thumbsup2

Here's to your quick Dec. trip being nothing but magical! :goodvibes

What a great picture with both of you taking a princess pose. :goodvibes

I am still in awe of how many times you rode BTMRR. Back row? I LOVE this ride. Probably one of my favorite rides..if not my favorite. However, I have never waited for the back row. :sad2:

Pirate Goofy is awesome!!!

Okay, I need to stop ignoring my TR to focus on other things, like packing for December, or changing my plans for December, worrying about packing for Thanksgiving, or anything else! Being on page 4 of the Trip Report Section is no fun!

Great TR! G is a hoot, b would bother me immensely....argh. You needs some Disney adrenaline nuts to travel with, who sleeps in at Disney :confused3

I'm bummed about BTMRR being closed in February. It's one of my favorites in DL and the last time I went I was pregnant and couldn't ride. Oh well, next time.

Thanks for sharing!

I'm traveling with a fellow Disney adrenaline nut in December. It will be our first trip together. Which makes me a bit nervous. But we get along when we hang out. Its been mostly for Disney movies like Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D double feature or a meal. I might have to change a few things in my January trip so my cousin can ride Dumbo and BTMRR before it closes. We land on the 6th!

Sounds like you had a very nice morning in MK! Did you go on BTMRR like 6 times??? I'm hoping everything went well meeting up with B and G at Epcot...but it sounds like a wheelchair adventure is ahead!

I only made it on BTMRR 4 times that morning. I think I was getting woozy from not eating anything yet. I talked to g and we both think this was the Epcot day the wheelchair incident happened.

I know December will have to be amazing with the person I'm going with being one of us, but not on the boards, and meeting up with Ann in person!

Tiana was making me feel like that was how I should be. No showing me how to stand required! I loved her. She was nice and took her time to talk to me and it was awesome! MVMCP before it starts, you, me, Zoe, and my friend. Back two rows! Get in the park ASAP so we can get in line by 5:30pm for the dwarves!

With 12 days to go before December's trip gets under way, we should really get this show on the road!

As I last left off, I ran into the parade heading down Main St. as I was exiting Main St. I made it on the monorail to TTC and then walked across to the monorail to Epcot. I was on the monorail to Epcot when I got another text from g asking where they were meeting me. Well by this point it should be obvious! You will be meeting me at Epcot. I can't push a stop button and get off this monorail anywhere earlier! I took a few photos on my cell phone while the monorail wrapped its way around Epcot. I headed through security and decided that it was about 1:10pm and the Disney Visa Spot opened at 1:30pm and I should get in line. If we took the Disney Visa photo three time throughout the trip each of us would have a group photo for a souvenior and it wouldn't cost anything.

While in line, I got a text from g saying they were entering Epcot, I told them them I was in the Disney Visa line and it opens in 15 minutes. While I was waiting for them I started talking to this nice family behind me. They were super sweet and we got talking on which characters we've met, and I may have told them to drop by the Art of Animation building around 4:50pm when they are over at HS :rolleyes1. But that's besides the point. I'm waiting for g and b to meet up with me in line for the Disney Visa photo that opens in 15 minutes. Then I get a text from g....... We are gonna ride SE (Spaceship Earth) and then catch up to you. Seriously?!?!?! Why wouldn't you come over here, take five mintues to get our photo all together and then we can ALL go over and ride Spaceship Earth? I know at this point its not g who wants to ride Spaceship Earth but b since our first ride our photos didn't come out and she kept talking about going back on it and getting the photo.

So here's my solo Disney Visa photo:

DSCN3187.jpg

As I finished up the family I had been talking to entered and I was singing that "Watch out for Goofy" song that happens during Goofy and Minnie time at Disney Visa Spot and Goofy started acting like Frankenstein and chasing Minnie around the room. It was really cute.

I then headed over to Mouse Gears, because we all know shopping can help calm us down, but it does not help our wallets! I got a text saying they were done with SE and I told them I was there.

Up Next: I see red!

I think at this point I'd be banging B over the head! But I love the photo of you with Goofy and Minnie (and it's probably better that just you are in it!).

I'm glad to know my frustration was not completely unfounded! I'm still editing PP photos for the CD which I won't be ordering until after the January trip.:rolleyes1 But I realized, I should hav taken more photos, just myself or myself and g, or myself and b, or g and b so that I would have more photos I'd like to print. My solo photos and the one time b was off getting her beer and g and I took photos are really the only ones I know I want right now.

As we so properly say here in Oklahoma about 'lost causes'.... "Bless B's heart..."

So excited you are getting so much closer to your Christmas trip! :goodvibes

You'll have to explain to me what that means so I can use it and sound like I'm being nice when I want to beat her over the head with a frying pan. Frying pans, who knew? If you saw the state of the house, Christmas decorations up from the basement, real life going on everywhere, and the entire upstairs (its only 2 rooms) taken over by my Disney trips. This weekend I have to go out to my cousin's, next weekend is Disney, weekend after is free, and then my parents are here (and neat freaks) for Christmas. Seriously need BF to light a match under his bum and help out for the next three weeks.

I think the picture is much better with just you in it!:goodvibes

I completely agree with you. :rotfl:

Here's where my cryptic note taking gets a little fuzzy. There is an incident that happened and I think its this day, but I also think it happened on the way from Test Track towards the International Gateway. It either happened right now or it happened on Day after leaving Test Track. I'm pretty sure it didn't happen later in the day because we never headed that way, but Day 2 we headed from Test Track towards International Gateway. But g and I both feel like it happened today..... Now if I didn't lose you with that......

b was pushing g in the wheelchair. You see where this is going don't you? I was standing to the left talking to g over my right shoulder. When b ran over the back of my left ankle with the wheelchair and it hurt like a ......... well that word wouldn't be allowed. I told b to be carefully where she was pushing the wheelchair and got a reply back that I should have seen where she was pushing since I was talking to g. Seriously? What about all the other people walking to or around you that aren't talking to g, you're just going to take their ankles out too? She ripped a layer of skin, no bleeding thankfully, and for about a week afterwards I was black and blue. I tried to not put my actual feelings or annoyances in my trip journal since I was always worried they would read it.

...... Back to meeting them at Mouse Gear. After meeting up with them, we headed towards the F & W and I pointed out Club Cool. They still needed to try the Beverly. Now maybe I shouldn't have referred to it as "the Beverly", but still after standing me up in the Disney Visa spot for Spaceship Earth, I think they sort of deserved it. Maybe not g since he was all go with the flow, but I think we all feel b deserved it. :rolleyes1 From there we headed towards Canada and I got the Lobster and Scallop Pie in Ireland. It was just ok. I left b and g listening to Off Kilter, it was a tad too loud for me and told them I was going to walk around and I'd be back with the Molten Chocolate Cake.

So I took the time by myself to go to the Library in England and see Pooh and Tigger. Doesn't giving Winnie the Pooh a big hug just make everyone feel so much better?

Then over to see another friend:

DSCN3188.jpg

I headed back to meet them just as Off Kilter was finishing. I grabbed two Chocolate Cakes and b and I feasted.

Well I think that your Disney Visa picture turned out just great! :thumbsup2 It does sound like with the frustrating morning you were having that it might have been best as a solo pic!

I will say that those wheelchairs (at least, in our experience) are a bit tricky to maneuver around the Disney crowds, especially up and down hills. You should have seen us every time we were cresting the hill between the UK and the International Gateway (or vice versa) - inevitably there would be 15,000 people that had to walk in front of us at that exact moment!

(However, it does sound like you were an innocent bystander in your situation!)

"Bless your heart" has many meanings, kind of like how the word aloha means hello, goodbye, and I love you in Hawaiian. It all depends on how you use it.

"Bless your heart" is a form of empathy. It's like giving someone a great, big hug. When a friend starts complaining about her rotten boss, her no good husband, and how the kids are driving her crazy, we just shake our heads and look her in the eye and give her a heartfelt "bless your heart." It's our way of saying "Honey, I'm so sorry. I know just how you feel, and I'm glad that today it's you and not me."

When your cousin Susie does something just plain dumb, and your aunt Margaret calls you up to tell you about it, you just listen real close and utter a few "bless her hearts" when she pauses long enough to draw in a breath. That way you'll both know that even though Susie doesn't have enough sense to blow up a pea, she's still family after all, and we love her anyway.

In the South, we believe in being polite even if it kills us. So, when we just can't fight the urge to say something nasty, we follow it up with a "bless her heart" just to make us feel better. "Look at that poor woman trying to jog around that track. Her rear-end is dragging a trail, bless her heart."

And there you have it, Betsy! The 'how to' etiquette of using the phrase "Bless your/her/his heart." :goodvibes Use it wisely!

Yeah the way we were going it wasn't crowded, it was the flat section back by Test Track towards that building they never use but for special events. After that, I NEVER let b push the wheelchair and if she did, I made sure to stay far away! I had a few issues the first day, like barely stopping in time, but nothing where a person was injured. And when I barely stopping and was right next to a person I always said excuse me, and if I thought I might have hit someone I made sure they were okay. Ugh! That hill between UK and the International Gateway is a beast!

Your poor ankle! :sad2:

I might :rolleyes1 still have a few marks from the incident which is why I could tell which ankle she rolled over.

Bless your heart for explaining to me! I can't wait to use this regularly in the last day of Disney! They need a smiley slapping themselves in the forehead with their hand.

So I've mentioned several times of the random photos I sent Ann, now its your turn to play! I'm going to show all the photos of the random places I sent Ann and we'll see who can name all of them! Let's see how well you know random spots in Disney!

6 out of 10! Not bad! I tried to warn you that I took random weird shots to test how well Ann knew places in Disney. She scored a 7 out of 10, but #5 was lightened on my phone and I can't find that version.

The photos also are much LARGER on the computer than the phone. Seriously only one Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday left at this point for me! We're so close!
