Can a trip w/ friends make up for an unmagical trip with the BF?-Final Updates 12/30!

So I left off with b wandering over to Space Mountain for like an hour while g and I sat. g was hoping b would get back quickly because after the first half an hour of her being gone, he was hungry and needing a restroom. Well by the time she came back, he only had time for the restroom. b and I decided to let the two girls to my left and the one in the group behind me to sit on the curb instead of us and their moms were really happy and grateful. At some point the two girls to my left their brothers came and one asked if they could sit with them and the other stood. Note to self two adult sitting spots fit a lot of little kids. :lmao: Right before the parade started a mom came between b and myself and asked if her daughter could sit on the curb too, fine by us because there was still space and wasn't a big deal. Well the mom wanted to stand behind the daughter because she was scared she'd lose track of her. Not a big deal in my eyes since its one mom, not like a party of 15 and she was squeezing herself to not block anyone else's view. The parade started and the next thing I know b is asking the woman to switch places with me because the woman is touching her (not inappropriately, parade standing close touching) and b doesn't know her and would prefer her switching with me so someone b knew was touching her.

This gave me another :confused3 moment. Hmmm if you don't like crowds or random people touching you then why would want to be at Disney or ask to be seeing this parade when I told you it was showing only two nights. :confused3

Anyways, the parade was really good. All the kids were super well behaved, said thank you for letting them sit up front and instantly bonded calling and waving at characters together. It was so cute. The mom asked me at one point if b had a phobia or whatever of strangers touching her, which I said yes, because maybe she does? And she didn't seem too offended by it, she was still by her daughter. Alice noticed my light up ears and told me to show them to Mr. Snail since he has antenna was well. That was an awesome moment for us adults. :rotfl:

Next Up Bonus Feature #2!

:sad2: really? b didn't want anyone to touch her that she didn't know? Hmm... good thing you were not riding the buses. Things tend to get a bit cozy there too.:rotfl:

Yeah we rode the monorail and the ferry and that was about it for disney transportation this trip for them. You are too quick for me today! I didn't even get to put the bonus feature yet!

After MSEP we got to talking. I really wanted to check out the Memories, Magic and You show, but we knew we wanted to leave before Wishes! So we weren't caught in that stampede.

So while waiting for the Memories, Magic, and You (did I get that order right?) we have this piece of brilliance from g. Mind you none of us had seen the show yet.

And if that doesn't work try this....

Bonus Feature #2

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Truly, why did B go on this trip to begin with? :confused3:confused3:confused3

Great photos of the parade; I'm really sorry I missed it as we've not seen it since the last time it was here before it went away (does that make sense).

Very nice of you to let the kids sit on the curb in front of you; we do that too if the kids ask nicely or the parents. I won't let it happen when the parents are rude...ticks me off royal.

Yeah, 3 people on Buzz doesn't seem like the best plan... You *look* very cheery though!

Parades can definitely get a bit cozy, and yes, the busses too! I know I don't love being all close to strangers, but it really is a fact of life at Disney!

I don't know how you managed to cram 3 people on Buzz! But you do look like you're having fun! :thumbsup2

That was nice to let the kids stand in front of you for the parade! See, if the people I encountered just kept quiet, I probably would have been nice and offered to let the kids stand in front of me, but nope, they had to go be a&$#*&es!

Haha, I can sympathize with B, I don't like random people touching me either! :rotfl: I try to avoid it as much as possible, but sometimes you can't in Disney!

I don't know why she jumping in when I was talking about going on a trip to Disney. And it would have been nice at some point during the year if she mentioned she was a little over the top about germs and strange people invading her personal space or touching her at all. I'm sure the parade will be there next time you go. It's been showing since I went last year! Little kids take up no space, plus they are shorter than me so it doesn't really bother me. Now their parents on the other hand can, but these parents could keep eyes on their kids the whole time and we didn't move before making a tunnel and funneling all the kids back to their right parents.

WARNING: Its not a fun fit, so don't try to see if you can do it! You would figure if you are going to Disney with a bunch of other people, you might have to be close to another person. Not like we can have the whole park closed down for ourselves!

Haha, B sounds... interesting.

G, on the other hand, is hilarious!

Oh I have a few more b stories coming up. g might come down for a day in December, which means...... MORE VIDEOS!

:rotfl: Love the bonus feature!

I think I have one left, but you can't really hear b, but g restates it louder. :rotfl:

Yeah, some people in Disney just feel like they are entitled to being in the front because they have kids, not the people who have been sitting there for two hours. I have b stories coming up!

Sorry this update has no photos.

We watching the Magic, the Memories and You. I tried to record it, but people kept walking in front of me and the quality wasn't very good so no video for here. We then headed out of the park and headed towards the ferry. They let us take the wheelchair all the way to TTA which was nice for g. We got on the ferry right before it was leaving and while g and I were wheeling in, b just took off by herself and perched herself in the corner of the boast closest to the park to watch Wishes! I turned g around and we stayed in the middle of the ferry, but towards the back and if I crouched I could see the fireworks. So we got to watch Wishes on our way back to the TTA. We stayed on the ferry after it docked to watch the end of the fireworks and were one of the last groups to leave. We took the tram back to the car and headed for some dinner.

Tonight for dinner we decided to head for DTD and Earl of Sandwich. We found a rather decent parking space and headed to eat. g separated from us for a minute, I think to talk to Guest Relations or something?, but he said he would meet up with us at Earl of Sandwich. I'm not really a fan of cold cuts so I knew there was only one sandwich for me. I would have probably rather my bacon wrapped meatloaf at WPE, but I wanted to eat with everyone else. So we found a table, which just happened to be the same table that BF and I met up with g for dinner and ate at last year and b started staring at the menu. So I stayed seated so we would have our table. g came in and went to order and b went up with him. They ordered together, paid together, and then hung out filling up their cups together. And then as I sat for a few minutes waiting to place my order and not wanting to loose our table, I watched them hang out at the order pickup spot together? Really? There is two of you, one person should be coming back and sitting at the table so I can go and order! Now I should mention, like other people, I get a bit cranky and annoying when I'm hungry or tired. And I'm really hungry and I know what I want to eat and ordering is not going to take me long. Eventually either b or both of them came back to the table and I got up to place my order. I got the Cannonballs! with a peanut butter creme filed brownie and I think a soda? I paid got my drink and came back to the table. In the meantime, they order was up and they started eating. I waiting a few minutes and then left the table, because watching them eat was getting me more cranky because if one of them had come right back to the table my food would be ready sooner and I wouldn't still be waiting to eat. So I walked over to the food pick up area, waiting about 30 seconds and my buzzer went off and I feasted! I only had my soda and Cannonballs! and put the peanut butter creme brownie away for later.

After I sent b and g to the Lego Store telling them I need to grab something and would meet up with them. I think I grabbed a couple more vinyls in World of Disney, got behind a family with three sons and started talking about their new toys and then it was time for me to be rung up. Then I met up with g and b and I think we went back to the room.

Hungry... cranky... whatever... people eating together should order and eat together.

***** Earlier in the week while waiting for b to get ready, g and I had sat out on the porch and I talked to him about how I wasn't sure how long I'd be able to deal with sitting around and waiting for everyone to get ready while I've been up. I hadn't done anything about it yet, but today was my day to indulge in things I wanted to do!

Also, bug update 2011. There was the night b found the bug on her leg that scurried under the fridge. At some point that night, b and g moved the fridge to see if they could find it to no avail. They left the lights on in the kitchen to discourage the bug from moving and went to bed. The next day they sprayed for bug, and according to g or b that night a bug fell from a vent in the kitchen and the lights in the kitchen stayed on again. *****

I woke up again at 8am and decided this was my last two days of Disney and I was not going to let anyone hold me back from what I wanted to do! I got up and got ready, g woke briefly and I told him I was going on the shuttle to wherever got picked up next and to call or text when he got up. I also left a note on the kitchen counter and took the shuttle schedule and headed out. There was a bus at the closest pickup and I went over and got on the bus. The bus was going to MK and then EP. I decided I'll go to MK since today was a MNSSHP night (we once again didn't have tickets, since the Tuesday people switched their tickets to Thursday and we didn't want a crowd) and was a low crowd day. We got to TTA and I took the express monorail to MK hoping for the first time that I'd get there by 9am to see the opening show! We were stopped on the tracks and I saw a train empty and stopped out the window and was really opening it was for the opening ceremony and I would finally see it!

I landed at 9:05am assumed I missed the opening show and walked with purpose towards my first stop of the day. If I missed the opening show, there was only one thing left to do! Make the Rapunzel Run! I was wondering when I made the turn to go up the hill rather than to cut through by Cosmic Ray's, why are there people already in there? Was there that many people that made the run that it already filled the 9:15am show? I got in line and waited. I found out I would make the cut for the 9:55am show and I surfed times on my phone. Its at this point I realized I made a silly mistake. Today was am EMH for MK. No wonder people are already in to see Rapunzel!

Eventually my time came and I was allowed to enter

I then made my way across the hub and took a photo like this and sent it to Ann

I crossed over to Liberty Square and decided to see if I can find someone who was too hard to find during September. Any ideas who it was?

After I finally got to meet Tiana who was super sweet. I headed over to Frontierland to spend some time on my favorite ride in the world. I grabbed a FP for BTMRR and jumped in line. It was about a 5 minute wait and I asked for the back row, got off and jumped back in line with a 10 minute wait in the back row again, when I got off, it was only about 10 - 15 minutes before I could get another FP. So I waited, grabbed another FP and jumped on for a 3rd ride, where once again I asked for the back row. This time the person in line of front of me was riding solo and we got to talking and she invited me to share the seat so I wouldn't have to wait for another car to pull up. It was her first time riding BTMRR in the back and loved every minute of it!

Up Next: What to do while waiting to ride BTMRR a 4th time and when will b and g get up and where will we meet.

I love your solo morning! Good job on deciding to just head out when you are ready! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you took off on your own and did what you wanted to do. Love the photo with Raphunzel; and so excited that you got to ride BTMR so many times in a row. :goodvibes

I get grumpy when I'm hungry too - I can totally understand your frustration at EOS!

Good for you for going out for a solo morning! :yay:

Hungry... cranky... whatever... people eating together should order and eat together.

I've been trying to control my hungry crankiness. I tell the person I'm getting hungry (before the cranky starts) and usually give a warning of if I don't eat soon I'm going to be cranky (cranky is on the verge of starting) and then full blown crankiness happens. :rotfl: It wasn't even the ordering part, but if two people go up and leave one person behind, as soon as one person is free they should come back and let the other one start the process.

I love your solo morning! Good job on deciding to just head out when you are ready! :thumbsup2

I really regretted not doing solo mornings the whole time. I should have sat them down and said look I'm getting up earlier than you, so I'm not going to wait for you, let me know when you are ready and we'll meet. But then again, they could have sat me down and said, we want to sleep in, don't wake us up but if you want to get out to the parks early you can.

I'm glad you took off on your own and did what you wanted to do. Love the photo with Raphunzel; and so excited that you got to ride BTMR so many times in a row. :goodvibes

It felt like such a weight off my shoulders. We only did every ride once and then woudl go somewhere else. I wish some rides I could go over and over, but it never happened and BTMRR is my favorite in all of MK! I"m so bummed its down most of my trip in January.

Good for you for going out for a solo morning! :yay:

I think I enjoyed this solo morning more than I had been enjoying time with b and g at certain points. Maybe because I could do whatever I wanted to do and not take in considerations of others, or maybe because I could meet characters and not feel guilty since b didn't really get the point of it. But why does it take until the end of my trips for me to start feeling the magic Disney has?

***** PP photos I'm up to Day 2 for editing and adding borders :cool1: One day it will be finished and I can have a break before having to edit my December photos!

Also, g texted me after meeting rapunzel to say good morning and see what I was up to. I didn't hear anything more so I texted him to find out what was up after my first three rides on BTMRR and before this part of the day happened. *****

I had about 30 minutes to kill before I could use my 2nd FP for BTMRR and decided maybe now was time to partake in my favorite snack breakfast in MK, a cinnamon roll from Main St. Bakery. I headed out of Frontierland and into Adventureland, where Pirates had been down all morning,, glad I wasn't on it when it broke down, I was about to pass by, but decided to stop for something that otherwise would have been passed up.

DSCN3176.jpg

The 4 year old that lives next door wanted me to say hi to Goofy for him and had been getting into pirates and dressed up like Peter Pan for Halloween. By the time I finished swashbuckling with the best of them, it was almost time to use the FP for BTMRR, so off I went back into Frontierland and through the FP line and requested the back row once again. Yes I love the back row of BTMRR. I request it everytime and don't mind waiting for it.

Now that I was BTMRR'ed out for the morning, I should really get some food since I haven't eaten yet. But it was noon now. And since we didn't have MNNSHP tickets for tonight, today would be a good afternoon to spend at Epcot. Food & Wine kiosks for lunch? Sounds good to me! By this time I was getting a little annoyed with the texting, I told b and g I was in MK and going to Epcot, to which I got the reply "do you want us to come pick you up or just meet you there?" didn't matter to me.

As I headed out of Frontierland, I found another quick stop I wanted to make to see someone while I wasn't wearing a Mickey shirt.

DSCN3177.jpg

As I made my way down Main St. the Move It, Shake It Parade was starting again. I stopped next to a family with a Make A Wish child and after the floats passed by and I could hear, I told them to head for the hub since the floats park in a circle there. Here is my fifty time  running into the parade:

I made my way out of MK and told g and b to meet me at Epcot and headed for the monorail.

Up Next: Monorail fun, Epcot annoyance, and why b should never be allowed to push a wheelchair

Great TR! G is a hoot, b would bother me immensely....argh. You needs some Disney adrenaline nuts to travel with, who sleeps in at Disney :confused3

I'm bummed about BTMRR being closed in February. It's one of my favorites in DL and the last time I went I was pregnant and couldn't ride. Oh well, next time.

Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like you had a very nice morning in MK! Did you go on BTMRR like 6 times??? I'm hoping everything went well meeting up with B and G at Epcot...but it sounds like a wheelchair adventure is ahead!
