op-just want to suggest looking into direct tv's insurance coverage. we have 4 receivers and the dish to cover but it's still no more than a few bucks a month. they will come out and fix stuff for free (no deductable or service call charge) which is realy worth it where we live (middle of nowhere-any kind of service provider charges us minimum $50 just to show up).
we just had them out yesterday because of problems with the signal-ended up being the wind shook the dish so loose it wonked out some of the wiring, then we found out that the way dd re-arranged her room suffocated her entire dvr (do not put a dvr on top of a carpeted floor and then set your dvd player on top of it). both were covered at no charge.
now i'm playing catch up with the shows that did'nt record last week so i can watch this week's episodes.

He sleeps with my DD at night, and my sitter lets hiim sleep in her bed when we're gone. She's a friend from church, not just some random person from the yellow pages. Boarding would be too expensive since we now have 4 dogs and 4 cats, plus the lizard, fish, and chinchilla could not be boarded anywhere around here, so someone would still need to come look after them. So we're happy with our current arrangement.
We follow several comic strips and we will go through all the papers, put the comics in order, and read one or two extra every day with breakfast. It's fun to get to read more than one strip at a time. It's like recording a show and not having to wait a week for the next ep. LOL. The actual "news" part, is of course, outdated, but only the state and national parts. The local news, we do still enjoy reading a week later. It's not anything we could read online. (birthday/engagement announcements, stuff like that).
I didn't pay her a little extra for that because she didn't have to do it.
