Fess up wickey, for all our non Texas friends College Station is also the home of Texas A&M. Go Aggies's. My son lives in College Station too, he's a sophmore at A&M.

Yep, you're right! I'm class of '83 -- so, Gig 'Em! What is your son studying?

I live in the DFW area and have lived in Texas for about 9 years, am originally from Seattle.

My son started as an Electrical Engineering Major and that lasted a year and a half, now he's leaning towards Internation Studies/ Business.

Born and raised in Richland Hills (a suburb of Ft. Worth). Moved to Lewisville in 1999 after marrying DH. Moved AGAIN in 2001 to Frisco, to the WORST apt complex I've ever seen. Moved again in 2002 to Little Elm (just north of Frisco and the Colony) and don't plan on moving again anytime soon. I like it here. It's quiet and small townish. :goodvibes

Hi Planogirl! :wave2: If you're ever at Stonebriar Mall and go to Sonic, I"m the one with the frogs on my nametag. :teeth:

TOV

The Colony is actually where I live. Been here since 1988.

Well we live in Lubbock, only been here for five months though. We lived in Midland for a long time. My huusband works for an oil company and we were transfered here. Funny thing though is that our oldest son is an Aggie, living in College Station and we are among Red Raiders yuk!!!lol.

Well, while A&M is known for the "Mechanical" college, lol, the business school is a good one. I know they place a lot of students in very good positions after they graduate -- I think he made a good choice!

Native Texan. Born in Temple, graduated from high school in Moody. Married into a "Baylor family" and have been living in Waco since 1996.

Moved to Foat Wuth in 1976. Have lived in Lewisville for the past ten years.

I live way down in Harlingen, Rio Grande Valley, near Brownsville and South Padre Island. We've been here 11 1/2 years, thanks to DH's job, if he weren't working there, I'd be packed and out of here so fast! It's way too hot down here! DS lives in Denton and goes to UNT-that end of the state doesn't seem as bad except for the traffic. Other DS lives in Laredo. I can't say I hate Texas, but I do hate this part of the state.

Simba'smom..I grew up in Edinburg, so I know exactly what you're talking about. It is not the best area of the state.

I'm now living in College Station. It's a great town to raise a family in. I went to A&M in the 85, got married, moved around a bit, and came back.

Native Texan here too! Raised in Pearland and we now live in Friendswood-- but Im not snobby :snooty: :teeth: . Though Im not really happy in the house we have so we might move back to Pearland :confused3 Its still up in the air.
Pearl-and......AAAhhhhhh its like fingernails on a chalkboard to me, lol. I dont know why but it drives me crazy.
We have family in Pearland, Pasadena, Frisco (I love Frisco!), McKinney, Jewett and Sweetwater (watch for those Rattlers!!)

My family lives all over the state. 1 brother in Austin, 1 brother in Liberty Hill (north of Austin, close to Georgetown) Mom in Carrollton. MIL in Nacodgoches, FIL in Conroe. BIL in Houston. I'd move back to Dallas in a heartbeat.

I was born in Lamesa, TX. I lived there until I went to college at Sam Houston State in Huntsville. Since leaving Lamesa: I've lived in Huntsville (4 years), Lubbock (2 yrs), Amarillo and Canyon (10 years), Austin (4 years) and then Victoria (14 years). We moved to Orlando from Victoria 2 years ago.

My husband is also a native Texan from Amarillo. Both of us are several generation Texans on both sides (both mothers and father side). All my relatives still live there including 3 of my grown kids.

Austin here! All of my family was born in TX, but then they moved to TN a month before I was born. Now, I'm the only one (in my immediate family) who lives in TX- crazy.

We moved here in 2000 so I could attend grad school at UT-Austin.

BTW- we should totally do a central TX DIS meet. Anyone up for Schliltterbahn this summer?

Currently live in Irving. Lived in Texas my whole life.

Kermit, I was raised in Emory just on the other side of Lake Tawakoni from Quinlan.

I was born and raised here in Texas, lived in Garland, across from Lakeview HS, on the border of Rowlett.
Met my hubby and he moved me to Rockwall. I LOVE IT!!!! It would be very hard to convince me to move. We have a boat in the marina, wonderful community, and we can see the skyline of Dallas, takes us 25 minutes to get there...but we are not in the crazy mix of it.

The only place I would be tempted to move to, is Frisco, for the shopping of course. :)

Hey Chad, what year did you graduate?

All right now. That Red Raider comment was a little rude! My DH is an Aggie and we peacefully co-exist. I'll tell you the same thing I say to him "You are just jealous" :wave2:

Can I pretend I'm back in San Antonio? I sure do wish I was there right now...

Military. 3 years. Left last year. I think I left my heart there...

Sadly, I live in Michigan but Houston and Sabine County are my home. My family has been there since 1820.

Shall we all celebrate San Jacinto Day, tomorrow?

I just moved here on March 31st. We bought a house in Flower Mound. So I haven't even lived here a month yet.

So far I am enjoying myself here...I cannot wait to get everything unpacked so I can get out there and enjoy the sights.

There are several of us DIS'ers that live in Flower Mound. I have lived in Flower mound for over 15 years. Any questions, just let me know (especially if it is regarding restaurants!).

I am in Chaucer Estates across from Marcus High School. What area are you in?

Hope ya like it here!
