Hotel help!

I am currently talking to a travel agent about staying at the POP hotel for princess weekend. However, last time we stayed at All Star Movies. Since the prices aren't released yet, does anyone have any experience iwth these two, are they similar in price? Between the two which would you recommend?

Thank you!

Southwest hasn't opened up that far out. I have to wait. And I do need to get my room booked.

Not to be creepy but I am a MWF, looking for another to share the cost of a room. Must be female.

Did you find someplace to stay yet ? Today I booked a 2bdrm 2bath condo right outside of DTD area about a block away Ruthie

Don't think its creepy at all MWF too :) its going to be tough to find rooms it appears

I prefer POP too but haven't been for ages. It's close to WWOS for the expo and doesn't have as many bus stops.

I am pretty sure that the Disney website doesn't show any availability after 12/31/13 until later in July/August when 2014 prices are released.

You can call disney to book rooms, at rack rates, you just can't book online for 2014 yet. If a discount comes out later, you can change to the lower price, or make it a package once 2014 rates are released this summer. I booked AoA, but decides i am going to cancel and rent DVC points instead.

Yep. I'm sure they'll have plenty of availability. They have thousands of rooms and not everyone plans a WDW vacation months in advance. We usually go during spring break and book what we want just 3 mos. ahead of time. If you want to book now, you just have to call. You can't do it on-line until they publish next year's rates.

Well between your 2 posts this makes a lot of sense as to what I was seeing on the website the showing of the prices and then the no availabilities when trying to book Learn something everyday thanks Think I'll just stay with what I have though

I called today and made the mistake of mentioning the race. Got transferred to group events where my room only was going to be a package and subject to package rules. Hung up and called back, just mentioned my dates and resort choice. Now booked at All Star Movies! Room only, balance due at check in, typical what I am used to. :)

Maybe that was my mistake, I mentioned the race. I'll try to call back tomorrow and see if I can get anything better.

If you don't mind me asking, about how much is it? I only need 2 nights.

I'm a bit confused about the timing of the 5k and kids races. 5k is at 6:15, kids races at 8:45. Both are at Epcot correct? Or am I reading something wrong? I was going to sign my dad up for the 5k, but clearly I'd want to see him finish. My kids are looking forward to doing the kids races, have been for a long time. It's seems to me even if the 5k took an hour for him, he'd be done by 7:15, 7:30 if he got a late start. Wouldn't that be plenty of time for us to get to kids races? Or are there other factors in completely unaware of as a first timer at a RD event?

For my family, it's presenting a time crunch because we have tickets to the breakfast in between the end of the 5K and the start of the Kids Races.

Signed up for the 10k. Started with couch to 5k a month ago but last week I totally aggravated a disc in my back i had pt on last fall. Sat out a week and ran tonight with Galloway intervals. Hoping this will be less pressure on my back. I am a newbie and so excited!! :wave2:

Rack rate standard room with tax, $152.55 first night's deposit. Hoping for discounts. ;)

Just a few notes about resort booking...

You do NOT need a race package in order to use race transportation from WDW resorts. All resorts will have buses coming and going all weekend for the expo and races. You just find out where at your resort they're picking up and get on board!

Late Feb. can be dicey with discounts due to President's Day week, but I've gotten AP and/or FL resident discounts for PHM weekend the past two years - I imagine some sort of GP special will be available, too. It'll just be some time before we see any discounts released, so hang tight!

Hilton Bonnet Creek, located next-door to CBR, also offers race packages (including transportation) and could be a better deal than some WDW resorts. Keep an eye out at http://www.hiltonbonnetcreek.com/packages - click on Marathon Fit.
