Hi Vickie! :wave2: Yes occasionally I do drag myself about :surfweb: Good job on the getting the C25K started. If you find yourself getting stuck and needing some help i'm sure Susan will trade places with you. 2 weeks ago she was begging for help from the other park runners telling them that I was trying to kill her. Try to help a friend work on her pace and running and that's what you get back. I fully expect her to duck into the crowds next Sunday at DL and hide from me till the start. Miles is busy packing for the DL 1/2 trip and I have actually called on the Princess room but :rolleyes1 decided I'd call back and deal with the trip/race AFTER Everest.

:lmao: Good luck on Sunday in the DL 1/2. I am so looking forward to meeting you and Susan in March. We still don't have our room for March yet. We have DVC so I really need to get it booked. We are there for a week so I also have to make ADR's soon.

I'm signed up for the 5K as well now. My DH may be doing it with me.

Howdy Princessers! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Remember, slow go is better than no go! Not sure if anyone is interested or not but I got an email discount code for skirt sports today. 23% off! Good through Sept 1. www.skirtsports.com code SKIRTGOLD I love mine. Really comfy and cute to boot!

You better take some ME time!! :goodvibes

UP Disney: Good for you on the 5K! That sounds like fun. I, however, am not that brave. Not yet anyway.

Caitsmama: Have a super fantastic time! I'm green with envy. This guy is really green with envy, not sick! ;)

Foot update: Slow improvement is better than no improvement. At least that's what I'm telling myself. My DH got me a card with a turtle on it. I almost cried. I'm sure it's the drugs and the pain, not the card. :rolleyes1

Lauren, you take care while i am away.. hold down the fort.. LOL I'll be checkin in with ya when i get back!

This is for your Lauren!! Feel better soon!!

Hello again Princesses!

I've had a speed bump in my training this week. Travelling and I got sick. Oh well, back at it tonight.

I'm going to start posting here a bit more in the SUPERBIG hope that I can do the Princess Half. Just need to start saving and hinting to the DH now! :)

So, what is everyone doing? Formal training programs, informal, just running and trying to add a bit more each time?

I started last fall with the Couch to 5K. I love it and can't recommend that program enough!! After that I made my own program and worked up to 10k. Signed up for a half marathon this November, started my own made up program, but then signed up with a formal training group.

I wasn't really sure I would like the group, but I am REALLY enjoying it. Definitely helps me get those runs in on the days I am just not feeling it. We've got a 5 miler tonight.

Oh, and HI to kayci, who dropped by my blog! :)

I was away for 2 weeks, and off my treadmill for a total of 18 days!

But, I am back on and ready to officially start my training on Monday 9/1. That will be 27 weeks before marathon week. I read 2 books on marathoning, and I put together a training schedule based on what I read. Since my husband bought me a Wii Fit for my birthday, I will use that for my 2cross training days and probably try to do balance or strength on my treadmill days. I am signed up for a few events this Fall.

I will be mostly a walker for the marathon. My main concern is maintaining the pace and not getting swept. I can do a 10K at a 4 mph pace, just not sure if I can keep that pace up for the longer distance...

I'm still on the injured list. Been spending a lot of time on the sofa elevating. I did have a break though with my therapist though. He took my lack of improvement personally and spent two hours on my bad tendon yesterday. Today I woke up very much improved. I can at least walk around the house without just about crying, so that's a very good thing. I've stared with the Couch program and hope to get back to it by the end of next week. Fingers crossed there. Then I'll move over to the walk/run program from Marathoning for Mortals to get ready for the 1/2.

KJBrown: Sorry to hear about your illness. Glad you're on the mend. I love your blog! It's made me think about Weight Watchers a lot lately.

I'mGonnaBe40: No getting swept! We can do it!

Ha! That makes one of us! :rotfl: I've kind of fallen off the wagon lately. Back on today though, getting dangerously close to being over the Lifetime limit. :rolleyes1

I'm so sorrry that i haven't had time to read back thru the whole thread but promise i will later!

There's a really small possibility that i might be able to make the princess 1/2. You might have seen my thread asking for ppls experience running and then flying home same day because that's my only issue now. Unfortunately i have to be back to go back to uni, grr.

Anyway... :goodvibes actual question for you guys has anyone rung WDW-I-RUN for discounted hotel rates? I was wondering how they come out. The hotel costs will kill me if i go solo (i'd prob still drag my behind there tho :rotfl: )

Thanks and happy training everyone!

smileyk8: Welcome! You should totally do it. :goodvibes I booked my room through that number. For two days at Caribbean Beach it's 346.52. It might be cheaper for you though because of the exchange rate?? I don't know that much about that. On the up side, you only have to put down a down payment of $100 and then pay the rest 90 days out for the race. Give you plenty of time to save up. Just do it, ya know you want to! All the cool kids are! :cutie: Just tell em peer pressure made you do it. :rotfl2:
