Do they even look at the room requests on the Disney website. We have 3 standard rooms at Pop and we all requested 60’s section. What are our chances ?

Did you happen to link your 3 reservations by calling reservations and having the CM note the other two reservation numbers to each reservation. That is the first step, and then your "request" of the 60s Section should be your only "request".

It is not clear what you mean by room requests on the Disney website?

Ive had success with the room requests on the website. I usually stay preferred so my only request is the ground floor, but I've gotten it every time I've asked.

When you do online check in there is a drop down list of room requests you can select from. It is fairly generic, with things like “near transportation” or “ground floor”. For Pop, it can include selecting by decade. If your room request is more detailed,it is best to call and have it added to your reservation.

OP, any time I have used the online room requests I have received what I asked for. I don’t always make a request because sometimes it’s fun to see what I get randomly. I do agree with the suggestion to call and have the three reservations linked as that may help your rooms be closer together or at least in the same building.

I much rather call my requests in or use touringplans. I always skip the online room requests. But yes, they do look at it and I heard that they do "try" to accommodate the requests as best they can. But if the resort is crowded, then there realy is not much that they can do.

Yes I did have them linked. When we checked in online they give options of room requests.

We have always gotten our requests with the exception of our last trip. For that one we had a split stay (1 night and 2 nights) so I believe they prioritized keeping us in the same room over our request which was fine with me!

Right then as mentioned earlier the basic room requests are very general and they will attempt to meet these requests.

But as always these are just requests, and you still have the option to check at the Front desk to see if your requests are met by your assigned rooms. If you happen to get a different area than the 60s section you are always able to ask if there are (3) rooms available in the 60s section.

I'll just add that the 60s section of POP are the 2 buildings with the fewest number of standard rooms, approx. 2/3s are preferred. Any other section at POP would have a greater chance of getting a standard room. But no one can really say whether or not your request(s) will be granted. You have as much chance of that as anyone else.

My experience with room requests are generally positive. I usually chat with a CM and have them add it to my reservation. I make only one request, whatever is most important. When traveling with others, the only request I make is to be placed near the other room - and I've had very good luck with that request (e.g., CSR - we were placed next to each other). What happens if they only have 1 standard room available for your dates in the 60's building? Would you want them to place all 3 of you in a different building or have 1 room in the 60's building and the others in a different building?

My last trip at OKW and Saratoga I actually got my online preferences. That was the first time.

Yes. They look at room requests.

But 60’s buildings are popular requests and have the fewest amounts of standard rooms.
So you might get your requests, but you’d probably have a better chance of getting 3 rooms in the same building if you requested a different decade.
