Stephanie had her last basketball games yesterday, and she did so great!!!! She made so many baskets, that the teacher/referee told her before the 1/2 time of the 2nd game to not make any more shots, and to pass the ball to other girls - I felt kinda bad for her. There were so many times that she had a perfect shot, and she would've made it, but then she had to pass the ball. She was also told not to steal the ball anymore, because she's really good at stealing. Out of all the games they played this November, she was responsible for scoring at least 85% of all the points. I guess I"ll be signing her up for Biddi-Ball next year :scratchin

Karen - Hey.....you're leaving tomorrow!!!!!:cool1: Are you all packed?? What time are you leaving? Are you driving or flying? Where are you staying again? I can't remember. How long will you be gone? Osborne Festival of Lights starts on the 28th, so you'll be able to see that - hooray!!!!! I love love love that!!!!!!!:goodvibes
**If I don't see you tomorrow - have a great great great time!!!!!!:dance3: Travel safe, have fun, eat lots of great food, take lots of good pictures, and make lots of wonderful memories :goodvibes Especially, have a great Thanksgiving - I'll be thinking of you  Tell your mom Happy Thanksgiving too!!!

Well, I better get ready for work.
I need to make a frame delivery before I go to work today, and then tonight I am going to a customers house to discuss all the items they want to frame, so today will be a very filled day also.

Have a great day today everyone!!!!

sandy - that is fantastic that Steph did so well! It's a shame she had to pass the ball, but good for the ref that he was wanting everyone to participate. It sounds like she is very talented!

MOst of the packing is done. We will finish up tonight. We are going to fly - mom found us round trip tix fos $100. We will leave for the airport tomorrow at 8 am, so tomorrow afternoon I will be in the Magic Kingdom!!!! We are staying at Shades of Green again. One of my uncles is retired military so he was able to get all of our rooms. We really like SoG. Jim can book rooms in January and September (I think) since he was honorably discharged. I cannot wait!! I don't even want to get ready for work!! I will check in before I leave!

CB - we plan to be in AK Thursday and maybe Sunday am. Will you be at work? I would love to say hi!

I hope you have a great trip! Im very tired and have to get to bed so i just wanted to stop in and say hi! Ive been working like a madman but the great thing is im making money and ive been saving on my food because ive had dinner at work everyday this week! sometimes they allow us to eat the extra sandwiches and we just started selling eggrolls so i have been well fed all week! someone asked what I did the other day? I work in outdoor foods so im either at icecream carts, popcorn stands, soft serve, hotdogs pretzels, etc.

Thursday it looks like I am relief so ill be running all over the park giving people their breaks. And it may be pretty busy, so look for sam! Im the only one in Outdoor foods. i love being a breaker because you are always doing something different: 1 hour at an ice cream cart, and then 45 minutes at the hot dog stand, then walk people around for 1 hour, 1 hour at the coffee kiosk...its entertaining at least.

have a safe flight! I cant believe the deal you got! cheapest ive seen to get home is almost $300!:scared1:

By Karen!!!! :wave2:

Have a great trip!!!!!

So this is it!! Last night was wild & stressful. Sarah is home (she goes back Friday) and she & I got haircauts and Emi got her brows waxed. Jim grilled a pork tenderloin for dinner and we all ate together. Sarah & I went back out to do Angel Tree gift shopping. Her sorority sponsors children and they needed some more items so to the mall we went. I also treated her to a pair of Buckle jeans (she will get them at Christmas) but I didn't share that with Jim! When I got home James & emi hadn't done all the stuff I asked them to do and their suitcases were pretty bad! I fixed up their suitcases and they finished up their jobs. I am up this morning drinking coffee with Jim. I will go fix my hair in a minute and find out how much she actually cut off. We leave for the airport at 8.

sandy - Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! I will talk to you when I get back!! Oh - we love the Osbourne lights too! My favorite though is the castle all draped lights! I think mom and I will go to the candle light processional if we can.

CB - I will look for you on Thursday and hopefully get to wish you Happy Thanksgiving in person!! I will be the short woman walkind around asking for Sam!!

I'm so excited to only be open until 5pm today, and then closed tomorrow:woohoo: I don't get to sleep in, because Stephanie and I are going to 9am Mass, but that's okay, it's great to know that I don't have to rush to work:)

CB - Your work at WDW sounds fun. Will you always be at AK, or will you move to other parks?

Well, I gotta run and get Stephanie out of bed early. She has to go to school early, because the executive staff of the student council (she's VP) has to do a presentation in front of the school staff. Have a good day everyone!!

Hey Karen - we posted at the same time (my post is right above yours). Your night sounds like it was very stressful:headache: and exhausting :faint: I'm always so stressed out right before we leave on vacation - it's terrible:headache: You should see how I am that morning - I'm like a crazy woman!!!!! I can hardly wait to hear about your trip - have so much fun!!!!:cool1:

sandy - We were posting at the same time!!

Bye bye!!!:dance3: :woohoo:  :yay: :cool1:

OMGosh - I just said the same thing!!!!:rotfl2:
We live miles and miles and miles away, and we are doing the exact same thing.
There's something kinda cool about that!!!!!:)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

It looks like it's going to be a pretty nice day today :sunny:

For all those that are cooking - are you ready??????
I baked my cookies and brownies last night, and the rest I will start when I come home from church. I didn't make a pumpkin pie this year, because I just didn't have the time, so I am picking that up at Bakers Square after church. Kevin will do the turkey, and I will make the sweet potatoes and corn pudding:thumbsup2 Kevin is making a stuffing this year that has White Castles in them. I'm very interested to see how it tastes. His parents are bringing traditional stuffing, so if the White Castle stuffing is awful, we will still have stuffing today :thumbsup2 I will let you know how this new stuffing tastes, and give the receipe if anyone wants it.

I still need to do a little cleaning today, but not much, since it's just our parents coming over. I'll clean the bathrooms, and that's about it. I was going to vaccuum everything, but then I asked myself, "Why should I, when I have to vaccuum again tomorrow after we drag the Christmas boxes out for Christmas tree #2?" So I"m going to wait and just do it Friday night or Saturday afternoon:)

Well, I better get going and get ready for church, and I'm going to need to get Stephanie up too (she won't be happy:sad2: ). Once she's at church she'll be fine - it's just the getting up and getting ready that she won't like.

Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving everyone!!!

you guys are both too funny posting on top of each other!:rotfl2:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ill be searching the park today for a shirt woman calling my name! haha:thumbsup2

Yesterday was our extra magic hours and we were open until 11pm. I worked 13 hours from 9 am and didnt get off the bus until after midnight! I am so exhausted and have to pull myself up to go back to work for 10 hours today! Only 2 more days til a day off...:surfweb:

Its also going to be an emotional day today because its my first holiday(aside from my birthday) that ill be spending away from my family. my mom called my yesterday perfectly timed as i started my lunch, and turns out that shes been in bed for weeks because she seriously hurt her back!:scared1: so shes been lonely bored and depressed ad that makes me feel so much better about me and my sister both being gone for the holidays. :sad1: Then she told me about my grandmas new angel tree topper and its a special thing between my grandma and me so that set off the water works too. i cant wait to get back home.

I hope everyones thanksgiving is special, whether it be in a theme park, or at home. Eat until your stuffed even if your on a diet, and dont forget to stop and watch the macys parade for a few minutes!

Did everyone survive yesterday????

We had a very nice day - we always do:goodvibes !!! We have no conflicts with our family, which I am very grateful for. Our meal turned out very well, and the White Castle stuffing was yummy!!!! The rest of our family thought it was yummy too ::yes:: Kevin may get stuck making the stuffing every year, now that he did this:rolleyes:

The last of our guests left at around 7:30pm (my brother and SIL) and then I got in my jammies and watched Home Alone, and then part of Christmas with the Kranks. It was a relaxing night!!!

Today I have to go to work, and I'm praying for some business. Normally, I don't have any today, because everyone is either tired from shopping at 2am, or they are shopping at places like the mall. We put a "Super Sale" banner up Wednesday, but I don't know if many saw it. I guess we'll soon find out. My college employee comes in today, so I'm only planning on working until about 2pm. Then I'm going to come home, and help Kevin get the rest of the Christmas items out of the attic. Then tonight, and tomorrow afternoon, I am going to put up Christmas tree #2. I told Stephanie that I will bring home the mini ladder from work, so her and Katie can put the ornaments on this tree - they'll really enjoy that!!!!!:goodvibes

CB - Hugs to you!!!  I would be emotional too, if I was away from my family during the holidays. Did Disney do anything special for their cast members for Thanksgiving? Did they have anywhere special you could go for a Thanksgiving meal? Or was it just like another day?

Well, I should go get in the shower and get ready for work
Have a good Friday everyone!!!

I love watching Christmas movies this time of year. Thanksgiving we watched Home Alone, and Christmas with the Kranks, and then last night The Santa Clause was on :santa: I love this movie so much - one of my favorites!!! I've seen it like 5 billion times, but I don't care, I'll watch it another 5 billion :teeth: I saw that The Polar Express was also on, but I refuse to watch that on normal tv. I need to have that in super surround sound, and no commercial breaks.:) I love this time of year!!!!!

I didn't get to start on Christmas tree #2, because I had customers yesterday, and wasn't able to leave work at 2pm, like I originally wanted to. But I"m not complaining, I'm very grateful for the business. Today, I'm hoping to get started on that tree, because tomorrow we are taking the girls for their Christmas pictures at Sears, and for their annual visit with Santa:santa: We may have some errands to run too, so I want to get alot of decorating done today:thumbsup2

Well, I better get going and get ready to take Stephanie to choir practice, and then go to work for awhile. I would like to only be there until 11:30am, so I can come home and get those decorations out of the attic.

Have a good day today!!!

my thanksgiving was actually great. for some reason i had an unusual amount of energy, and i was perky all day long. it really made my day when i got to see karen! it made me feel like i got to see family on thanksgiving after all!

Thanks Karen! you made my day! I told marc about the patch and he was really excited and i loved that button you gave me. haha i hope your daughter didnt mind too much.

Todays my day off! But since i worked over 60 hours last week i have to spend all day cleaning and running errands i never got to do. I should get going to the bus already. I have to go to costuming(2 hour bus trip) and walmart. Everyone enjoy their weekend!

Today we are going to the mall to get the girls Christmas pictures taken, and then for them to see Santa, and to get their picture taken with him too. I have such a love/hate relationship with this day. I hate it, because of the stress of getting the girls looking all Christmasey and perfect, rushing to the mall, and thinking of the perfect Christmas items to bring from home to put in the picture with the girls (the props at Sears stink). I love it, because the pictures always turn out great, and people love them. One year, Sears used one for their example in the studio - I was very flattered!!!!!:goodvibes

This is Stephanie's first year of sitting on Santa's lap as a "non-believer":guilty: To back peddle a little - Stephanie asked me to give her the truth about the Easter Bunny on Easter Eve:eek: I was honest with her, because now that she has had her first communion, I really want her to focus on the real reason for Easter more than the Easter Bunny. Right after she turned 10 (this year) I told her that I was going to be honest with her with more things, because I feel she is older, and she is mature enough to handle it (I really want an open line of communication between us, and I want her to know that when she asks me a question, I'll answer with honesty (w/ discretion (sp?) of course) ). So the first thing she asked me, about 5 minutes later, was about Santa. So I answered her honestly, and told her that it was Kevin and I. She basically already knew (from friends at school), but just needed it confirmed by me. I told her though, that if she told her sister, that I would be so mad, and then Santa gifts would be over forever. I told her that if she keeps her sister believing, that there's a strong possibility, that she'll still get gifts from Santa when she's driving:thumbsup2 I also told her, that telling friends who believe is totally forbidden (her best friend is 8, and is still a strong believer, and her mother would like to understandebly keep it that way). I also told her how much I love the spirit of Santa, and that now she can just have fun with it. She's still acting like she believes in Santa, which makes me happy, that she can still have fun with Christmas:santa: It also makes me happy, because Katie won't get any negative vibes from her, to make her an early non-believer. I don't know if any of you remember me talking about how I have The Polar Express bell (one for each girl), and I've been waiting for the perfect time to give it to each DD. This is the perfect year for Stephanie!!! The bell will be tucked somewhere that she won't see it until all Santa gifts are open, and then there it will be. A symbol on how even though she doesn't believe in the actual person anymore, that the spirit of Santa and Christmas is in her heart, and as long as she hears the bell, it will always remain in her heart :goodvibes

Kathy - So so so good to see you!!!!!! Please come by often - we miss you!!!!! :grouphug:

CB - How nice that you were able to meet Karen in person:goodvibes I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, and even though you are working a TON of hours, I"m glad you are working alot and making some good money :thumbsup2

Well, it's time for me to jump into shower, and then get the girls up, and fed. Both of them are having their up with fake hair today, so I don't have to stress out to much about that (unlike other years when I curled it). I bought Stephanie new fake hair, at a hair supply place, and it wasn't cheap, but it looks great!!! I can hardly wait to put it on her - it'll look like I spent hours on her hair, and I really didn't;)

Have a good day everyone!!

they played polar express in the breakroom and cafeteria today.:goodvibes
I had just read your post so I was thinking of you. It was just perfect timing!

We are home!!! We had a wonderful trip. We had 14 family members total and it was really great! We went to MK Wednesday evening when we arrived. It was cold, but we were bundles up! I LOVE the castle draped in lights! Thursday we went to AK (and I got to meet Sam) then we all went for Thanksgiving lunch/dinner. After a rest we went back to MK. That night a wonderful family gave us their left over fast passes and it was a great blessing! Friday we went to rope drop at HS and went straight to TS Midway Mania. We LOVED this!! We rode once (2nd family on) and when we came out the wait was already 70 minutes :scared1: ! The fast pass line was all the way back to One Man's Dream! Mom jumped in line for a FP ahile I took the kids to R & R coaster. When we came out she had 2 sets of FP for TSMM and one set for ToT. I am telling you the FP gods were smiling on us. We saw the Osbourne Lights and then went to Epcot. We just strolled the lands and watched Illuminations. We also watched the Candellight Processional from the outdoor eating are at the America pavilion as we ate. Very nice! Mom, James & I then went back to the hotel. Emi & Haley stayed until the end of EMH. Sat morning we went back to Epcot (which was slow) and did all of our favs! Afetr that the adults sat in Mexico and had margaritas and the kids did the ride in Mexico and Norway. We then went to the room for the Alabama/Auburn game (ROLL TIDE). Mom, James and Haley went to the MK after that, but Emi & I stayed in the room. We packed some suitcases and hung out. Elizabeth (10 yo cousin) hung out with us. We got up this morning and hopped in a cab to HS. The park opened at 9. We left a little after 11 to get back to the hotel for the trip to the airport. We did TSMM, R & R, Tot (twice) and shopped in that amount of time. Mom even ran back to TSMM and got 5 FP with our tix so we could give them to another family. We found a family with 3 small kids as we were leaving and gave them the FP. IThey were thankful, but I am sure when thy got to the ride and saw the FP were all gone and a wait of 2 hours that they were very happy! All in all a great trip!

sandy - I hope to get going on our decorating. Jim went and got our tree today and has it soaking, so we will decorate this week. I am so glad you had a wonderfult Thanksgiving!

sam - It was AWESOME to get to meet you!! You are the first DISer I have met!

See ya'll tomorrow! It is time to sleep!

This is going to be a long winter!!!!!!
As cute as it may seem, that Sophie finds the snow interesting, it's a pain for me that has to stand out there with her. She never did all her business this morning, and I was out there for 25 min :cold: What's so frustrating, is I know she had to go, but she just couldn't find the right place in the snow :headache:(now she's going to want to go out in an hour) Yep....I love her......but I not going to enjoy the winter standing outside with her:sad2:

Yesterday was somewhat of a success with the pictures.
Sears changes people so fast, that as soon as I find a photographer that I like, and that understands what I want, they are gone:headache: I warned the girl that helped us on the phone Saturday that I'm very picky, and I do take forever. We did take an hour, and I was disappointed with how uncreative she was. Anything creative came from Kevin and I. If it weren't for the price, and the fact that I can get a CD with photos on it, I would go somewhere else. But with us getting pictures taken so often, price is definitly a factor in where we go ::yes::

Karen - Welcome home!!!!:goodvibes Sounds like you had a good time!!!! That was so nice of you guys to give fastpasses to that other family:goodvibes That's what Disney is all about - making families happy!!!:goodvibes

CB - Yep...I love The Polar Express - one of my all time favorite movies!!!!:santa:

Well, I better go workout - I haven't in over a week, and I embarrassed with how much I've eating lately.

Have a good day!!!!!

Kathy - So so so good to see you!!!!!! Please come by often - we miss you!!!!! :grouphug:

Thanks Sandy! I've dropped by and kept up a little but just not posted. I'll try to stop by a little more often.

Glad your pics turned out yesterday.

Hope everyone has a nice Monday!
