This is a super quick post this morning, because I need to go to work - I have so much to do!!!

Sophie had a good day yesterday, and she is getting alot more comfortable with us. We took her to the pet store yesterday, and got her some treats, and some very small puppy toys. I kept her up pretty late last night, and then she slept all night again last night. She whined a pinch when the girls were coming in our room last night, but I ignored her, and she went back to sleep. She is a spitfire of energy this morning - YIKES!!!! This is the first time I've seen her this way - it's kinda nice, because I know she's even more comfortable with us.:goodvibes

Karen - Sophie is exciting!!!!:goodvibes I will post a picture soon!!!
**I'm sorry you couldn't go to the Liar's Contest :guilty: It sounds like fun!!!

Well, I gotta run
Have a good day!!!

:surfweb:

I worked alot yesterday, because I have alot of work to do there.
It's nice working when I'm closed, because I'm able to get a lot done, without anyone bugging me or phone ringing. Sophie goes to work with me today, so we'll see how that goes. Kevin got her a cage, and set it up there. We also got her doggie litter, but I don't think it's going to work for awhile. We put the litter box where she is here at home, and I heard her gagging on the litter  so I took it away. She's very comfortable going potty outside (she still has accidents in the house), but I can't ever let her go outside alone, and the thought of going out with her everyday, for the rest of her life, doesn't do much for me :sad2: In the winter, we are going to have to draw straws on who goes out with her, and when :thumbsup2

Poor Stephanie cut her foot open really bad yesterday while riding her bike - there was blood everywhere!!!!! I had to hose down the front porch in order to get rid of it, and there's still some stains. Thank goodness Kevin is an EMT, and that he knew what to do, or we would be going to the hospital. So last night she had to sit with her foot elevated and with ice on it - she wasn't happy. But I told her that I've warned her several times to NOT play outside with flip-flops, and she always thinks I'm square, but not anymore. She says that she learned her lesson (I hope so:rolleyes: )

Well, I gotta run and workout inside today - I'm not sure if Sophie is ready for me to leave her yet first thing in the morning. Have a good day today everyone!!!

:surfweb:

The work at work keeps coming - which is great :yay: :woohoo:
There's so much to do, that it's freaking me out a little bit, but I can handle it.:)

Sophie did really well at work yesterday - I was proud of her!!!!! :dog:
I'm looking forward to having her at work with me again today :goodvibes

Speaking of today - my Stephanie is 10 years old today :bday:
I can't believe she's in "double digits" as she would say:eek:
Time is going by to fast!!!
She wants to go out dinner Culvers tonight (a fast food restaurant chain here in our area) and then we are taking her to Game Stop (a video game store around here) to pick out a new game for the Wii that we are giving her for her bday.
We are not having a party for her until August 3rd, and that is going to be a combo party for both girls, because Katie's bday is August 21st.

Well, I gotta go workout
Have a good day today everyone!!!

sandy - I am glad things are going well at work! Very cool about the Wii - we love ours! You will make your shoulder sore tonight bowling!

stephanie - :bday: party: :cake:

We are all back home. Emily got her braces on yesterday. She is pretty sore today!

See ya'll later!

Hi Ladies!!

Sandy - Congrats on getting a puppy!! I love dogs! Tell your DD Happy Birthday!! My B-day was yesterday - she was born in a good week ;)

Karen - Sounds like you are having a fun summer! We pretty much just hang around the house. It's too hot and buggy outside. Plus the humidity kills my joints :headache:

I'm homeschooling my kids through the summer. It's too hot during the day to go outside anyway. This way in October when it's nice out we can take some time off. Plus we usually take the entire month of December off. We are actually doing really well. The kids are happy to be in the air condition. We are done in about 3 hours anyway.

Have a great day!!
Kim

Thank you so much for everyones birthday wishes for Stephanie:goodvibes I will have to show them to her when she wakes up. She had a great day, even though it wasn't with me :guilty: (not that I'm complaining about having alot of work to do - I just wish I could have been with her more on her birthday). She went to my mom's and she baked a birthday cake all by herself (w/ my mom's supervision of course), and it's chocolate w/ chocolate icing, and on top it has sprinkles and marshmallows - yummy!!!! :teeth: Than last night we took her to Culvers, where I ate WAY TO MUCH  Whatever calories I burned working out the last 2 days, were put back on instantly. The flavor of the day there was Cherry Amaratto, and it was so so yummy!!!!:goodvibes Than we took her to Game Stop where she picked out a game for her Wii. Then we came home, had some of her birthday cake she made, and then Kevin set up the Wii. The 2 of them played that until 10:30pm, and it looks like so much fun!!!!! I didn't play, because I was sitting with Sophie on the floor - she's becoming very spoiled very fast :dog: So, Stephanie had a good day!!!!!:goodvibes

Karen - I told Kevin about your post, because him and Stephanie were really playing it alot. I'll ask him after he wakes up if he's sore. Him and Steph really got a workout doing boxing. I told him it was weird seeing him and Stephanie beating the crap out of each other - didn't seem right:rotfl:
**How's Emily doing with her braces? I never had them, but my brother did, and I remember him not enjoying them at all :sad2:

Kimba - Happy belated birthday to you!!!!! :cake:
Did you do anything fun for your birthday?
**I think it's an awesome idea to do your schooling now, and then take December off:thumbsup2 It's good that you kids don't mind too - it would be tuff if they fought you on it.

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work early
Stephanie has to be at daycare by 8am so she can leave on there field trip to The Field Museum (this is like the museum in the movie Night at the Museum) - she's really excited!!!!! This is her favorite museum, which surprised me a bit - most kids love the Museum of Science and Industry more.

Have a good day!!!

:surfweb:

I played the Wii for the first time last night, and it was alot of fun!!!!
I look forward to bowling again tonight!!!:teeth:

Well, I need to get going - STephanie has another early field trip today. She is going to see a Railcats game (a minor league baseball team)- I'm so glad that the kids have good weather for this. Last year it was a dreadfully hot day when they went, and Stephanie did not have a good time :sad2:

Have a good day!!!!!

hi everyone!

Ive ben sick since I got home on Sunday. I went home to visit family and go shopping before I left for FL. This is very bad timing for me to be sick because I have finals for summer school next week and Ive missed all of my classes this week. I am very behind right now:confused3 I guess I know what Ill be doing this weekend.

Ive been very stressed with classes and not being able to work because I really need the money. On top of that I sold my old laptop to my sister in hawaii. When she got it last week it worked, but the next day it wouldnt boot up. I was really depending on the money from that to help me pay for any costs when moving to FL. But I wouldnt take money from my sister for something that didnt work:sad2: Oh and then my school decided to charge me for something that didnt go through 3 months ago, so now I have an extra $200 to worry about paying.:scared:

:surfweb: I am so tired of school. And being stressed about money all the time. sometimes I wish I could fast forward 7 years because thinking about finishing my undergrad and then taking another 4 years of vet school seems sooo daunting. You know how you can take a cookie cutter and cut out the very center of your bread/brownie, etc so that all you get is the good part...I wish I could do that with my life.

:surfweb:

I"m start this post out by whining a little bit. I have a cold (Kevin's cold) and when I sneezed yesterday, I pulled something in my back:eek: It hurts so bad I could just cry:sad1: This is not a good time for this - work is busy, and puppy requires me to bend a lot. Thank goodness I'm going to the chiropracter today, because he can look at it. I'm thinking it's a muscle thing, at least I hope it is, because that will go away faster than a pinched nerve.

CB - I"m sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well either :guilty: I"m also sorry to hear that you are getting really stressed out with school :guilty: I'll send loads of PD your way to help you feel better, and to also lift some of that stress:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: I'll send some hugs your way too

Well, I"m off to color my hair this morning - no working out today, my back can't handle it:sad2:
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Hi all! Things have been crazy here and I have to take call for another nurse this weekend! James left this morning headed to Orlando with the neighbors! I am going to miss him. We added a phone line to our plan for him so he can call and text! Of course, it will probably be me doing most of the calling & texting!

cb - Try not to let the stress get to you! My daughter is struggling the same way! She is taking 5 classes, working and running Rush for her sorority. She just found out that the 18 hours she has to take next semester will cost her an extra $1000 since it's so many! I'll tell you what I tell her - be strong! You can do this! In the word's of Dory - "just keep swimming, just keep swimming..." even if it does seem like you are swimming in circles - at least you are moving! It will be worth it in the end!

sandy - I am sorry about your cold and your back! I am going to be sending something to Steph. I ordered it for her Ist Communion and it just got here! Ugh!! I won't order from that company again!

Well I have to jet! I have five patients to see and they are really spread out! Have a great day!

:surfweb:

I"m going to a DIS Meet today, and I"m really excited about it:banana: We are seeing Wall-E, and then we are going to a local food court, in a mall, to visit with others, and have lunch. We did this a couple of years ago when CARS was at the movie theater, and it was a good time. It seems like we have a decent amount of people going, so that's awesome!!!!!!!:woohoo:

I forgot to tell you guys - my Chiropractor told me that I either buldged a disc or blew out a disc (I can't remember which) when I sneezed:eek: He asked me if I was bending over when I sneezed, and I told him that I didn't remember. He also asked me if I held in the sneeze, and I said no. He said that holding in a sneeze is a terrible thing that you can do to the inside of your body. So, he gave me an adjustment, and it helped a very very small pinch, but not much :sad2: So, I'm going to go back tomorrow for 2 adjustments again. Until then, I was told to take it easy, and not lift anything heavy. I told him that this is a time that I wish I had a boss that I could tell them that my doctor told me to take it easy and not work much - he laughed:rotfl:

Karen - That's good advice for CB, and your DD - you're such a good mom!!!!!!:goodvibes
**You got something for Stephanie?! That is so thoughtful of you!!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
**I hope you aren't to slammed today with patients:wizard: Do they pay you milage?
**I hope James has a good time in Orlando. Where are they going?
**I wish we were closer to each other so you could be at The Meet today:guilty: I talk to you almost everyday, and we never get to see each other in person - it's a bummer!!!!!:guilty:

Well, I gotta go get ready for The Meet
Have a great day!!!

Thanks for the advice and support. It is very helpful to have some encouragement.

Oh and I haven't sneezed in years. I always hold it n because I have very bad allergies and would sneeze nonstop over 10times in a row etc. In high school I had teachers that didn't like me disrupting class, so I held it in.

:surfweb:

The girls and I went to a DIS Meet yesterday, and it was alot of fun as always :goodvibes We went to see Wall-E first, and then visited with everyone at a local food court afterwards. Katie didn't love the movie at all :sad2: and I just liked it okay. I like animated movies with huggable type characters, and the characters in Wall-E aren't like that - I"m glad I saw it though.

CB - My chiropractor said that holding in a sneeze is one of the worst things you can do. He had a patient recently that blew up 3 discs in her back from holding in a sneeze. I always knew it wasn't good for you, but I didn't realize how bad until he told me that

Well, I gotta get going and take a slow walk today. With my back hurting, I'm not going to be able to speed walk like I normally do. Have a great day today!!!

:surfweb:

My young employee that left me for Jewel (the grocery store), has agreed to just work on Saturdays, and Jewel is allowing it (thank God!!!). She's really happy about this, because she really does like working for me, and I like having her. I told her that if Jewel doesn't schedule her alot during the week, that she can call me, and work on her non-Jewel days if she wants - she liked that idea!!!! So, even though I'm going to be working a ton more, at least I still have her on Saturdays, and once in awhile :)

Well, I gotta get going and do some things around the house. The girls birthday party is this weekend, and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed on how much needs to be done around here. When I'm home, Sophie totally monopolizes me time, because she needs alot of attention, and therefore nothing gets done. But she's so darn sweet, that it's easy to give her all the attention she wants:goodvibes

Have a good day today!!!

:surfweb:

Kevin had a scary thing happen to him yesterday. When he was at a fire, he almost passed out, and had to have an ambulance called for him:eek: . It turned out that he was very dehydrated (it was HOT yesterday), which is good, because he thought he was having a heartattack. It sorta shook him up:guilty:

hi guys, long time no hear from....just got back from vacation and it was wonderful but oh so hot.......

Hi all! Sorry for falling off the board! It has been a crazy few days & I have been battling a nonstop headache!

sandy - How scary for Kevin! Jim's recent trip to the ER shook him up too! I hope he is feeling better! How is Stephanie's cut foot? How is Sophie? I just knew there would be a pic! I am glad your employee will be able to help out a little! How did it go with the next trip to the chiropractor? Thanks you
for the compliment about being a good mom! I learned from the best! I wish we were closer together, too!

april - welcome back!

cb - how did finals turn out and how are you feeling?

James went to Universal, Sea World and Wet & Wild. They started home tonite, but plan to stop and drive the rest tomorrow. I will be glad to see him!! We start school in just over a week!!!! I wish we started later! Ugh! I am not ready - I love the relaxed pace of summer.

Cheerleading & football have started up. I will be really busy with paperwork, organizing, etc... for a few more weeks and then it usually settles into a better rhythm.
Talk to everyone tomorrow!

:surfweb:

Things are becoming so crazy busy around here!!!!
Between the store doing great (I thank God everyday!!!!), summer activities (responsibilities and fun), and now getting ready for the girls party Sunday, I'm starting to feel a little like this :hyper: :faint:  :headache:  all at the same time!!!! I'm not complaining though, because if I had nothing to do, than I WOULD be complaining about that ;)

MK - So good to see you!!! :wave2:
You'll have to tell us about your trip!!!

Karen - I"m sorry to hear about the non-stop headache:headache: I know how terrible that can be on you physically and mentally :guilty: I'll send so PD your way to feel better soon:wizard:
**Kevin is feeling better - thanks for asking!!!!:)
**Stephanie's foot is healing nicely - she's just going to have a nasty scar :guilty:
**Sophie is so sweet, and I love her so much!!!!! It's nice to have a little someone to hold and cuddle with :dog: I've been having issues with Katie getting older, and wanting to be more independent in her little life. I don't want another human baby, so Sophie is really filling that void :)
**The chiropractor went well, and he's been adjusting my back. The back feels better (more dealable) but still not great :sad2: If I sit for any great length of time, or bend over for any great length of time, my back feels terrible when I go into an upright condition. I'm not suppossed to lifting anything heavy, but my whole profession is lifting not heavy things (glass, finished pictures frames, and etc). Since I'm alone all day, I have to do it myself.
**Your mom always sounds so sweet when she's on here - I bet she is a great mom!!!!!:goodvibes Please tell her that I said "HI" and that she should come by and visit:)
**Sounds like James went to some fun places!!!!:cool1: He'll have a lot to talk about when he gets home.
**I'm sorry about school starting already:guilty: Stephanie starts on August 21 (Katie's bday), and I think that is to early too ::yes:: I think the kids should go back to school after Labor Day. I can understand wanting the kids to be educated, but I also believe that beating to much school into the kids, is going to make them not like it, and that is not good for their grades.

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work - I want to get in a little early today
Have a good day everyone!!!!

:surfweb:

I stayed up to late watching a movie - Backdraft!!!
It's been forever since I've watched this movie, and it really is a great movie!!:thumbsup2

Well, I'm off to get ready for work - it's an early day today. Katie has to be at daycare by 8:30am for a field trip. They are going to a local splash pad, which is a bunch of fun type sprinklers for the children to play it. It's going to be hot here, so they have a great day for it:thumbsup2

Have a good day!!!!

Good Friday morning all!

sandy - I hope your back feels better quickly! It would be kinda hard to do your job without lifting anything!

James was tired last night, but glad to be home! Emily is excited becuase she doesn't have any commitments today. Both kids plan on sleeping in.
My headache is a little less noticeable this morning which is a nice change.

Have a great day!
