I gotta work today - I'm not in the mood
I have so much to do around the house for this party, that working at the store today is really going to put me behind. I"m hoping I can cut out of work a little bit this afternoon, so I can come and do something.


Last night we had dinner at the Chamber of Commerce Corn Roast (I didn't work it) It was so hot and muggy, that it made it very unenjoyable. The gnats were also terrible too, and I hate eating with bugs around. I finally told my friend that it was time to go, because the gnats were crawling up my legs This is exactly why I don't camp and hike!!!! So we left and took the kids to Oberweis for ice cream (like I really needed that, but it's summer, so I'm allowing it ).

hey everyone! I finally finished wit my finals for summer school and now I only have one week left before Im leaving for FL!

Im leaving 2 days before marcs birthday so last night we went out and i decided to treat him to sushi and then we went and saw Dark Knight. It was really good and we had a nice night. Ill be very sad to be leaving him for the 5 months ill be gone. Marcs goal is to search for a paid position while Im gone and hes going to wait in line and apply for a position on the morning of his birthday.

Sandy- I told marc I have never seen backdraft after I read your post, so he decided to add it to his netflix queue so I can see it.

I hope everyone has a good weekend! Ill have to start packing this weekend. I havent even begun.

The girls birthday party is finally here - they are so excited!!! (Their actual bdays are not today. Steph's was in July, and Kate's is later in August) If I like doing this ONE party, we may do it this way in the future too There's still alot to do before the guests get here - water all the flowers, mop the kitchen floor, tidy up the girls bathroom, pick up the cake, pick up the balloons, and pick up the food - the party starts at 1pm.


We had quite a mess on our back deck yesterday. Our glass top table shattered, and there was glass everywhere I heard it when it happened, yesterday afternoon, but I had no idea what the sound was - it was so weird. I looked all over the house to see what had fallen, and broken, but I found nothing. It never dawned on me to look outside. That was not fun to pick up, at all!!!!!


CB - Wow, I can't believe you are leaving in a week It seems like yesterday when you told us about this program, and that you weren't leaving for awhile. Are you going to have online access when you are in Florida? I hope so, because I want to here how you are doing, and how things are going. Good luck packing - I hope it doesn't stress you out, as much as it stresses me out


Well, I gotta go water my flowers (the first thing on the preparty list to do).

Hi all! I got up early to organize cheer paperwork! Then I ordered Spanx for me & Sarah. One week until Rush!

cb - congrats on finishing finals! You will have to keep us posted! Sarah has expressed interest in the program!

sandy - congrats on the successful party! How did the glass table break? Weird!


Our hummingbirds are back. We had not put out our feeders, the were coming to the hibiscus. We noticed several so I put the feeders out yesterday!

Good morning all! I am so sleepy this morning! Things will be very slow at work today - all day in the office, on the phone. We start cheer practice at the park tonight. Emily's school squad is coming to do a clinic for the park girls. "Regular" practice will start next week. I will miss thie first week since I will be with Sarah.

This is a very quick post since I just woke up - very very late for me!!!!
Last night was a crazy crazy storm night!!!! I didn't get to sleep until 3am, or a little later, and poor Kevin didn't sleep at all. He went to his weekly FD meeting last night, and didn't get home until 2:45am. Then after that he stayed up watching our sump pump because the electricity was out, and he didn't trust the battery back up. He's sleeping now, and is not going into work today - he doesn't have the energy - him and the rest of the guys on the FD ran ALOT of calls last night!!!!!

The storms were very very bad, but we luckily didn't get as bad as a neighboring town. The tornado sirens went off at 8:30pm and we went downstairs. Than after that was over, I put the girls to bed, and I went to bed - this was at 10:45pm. I then woke up at 11:30pm to the tornado sirens going off again, and Kevin calling me on the phone demanding me to go downstairs. Him and another fireman spotted a tornado in our town Katie was already up, but I had to wake up Stephanie, and tell her to get downstairs NOW!!!!! Needless to say the girls were like this The weather was really really unbelievable!!! We have a lot to be thankful for this morning, that nothing worse happened, and I have all the people that have damage this morning in my thoughts and prayers.


Well, I"m sorry I'm not responding to everyone's posts, but I gotta run and get ready for work. Plus, I have to somehow get the girls up and ready for daycare after they've only received 5 hours of sleep. I wish I could leave them home with Kevin, but I know when he gets up, he's going straight to the firehouse to help with any clean-up around town that may be needed. Oh well, once the girls are at school, they'll be fine, it's getting them there that will be the problem.

It wasn't easy - they were very very crabby!!!!!!
But then when my friend called and said that her office had water, and I needed to get to the store quick to see if I had water, that made them move alot faster.

Luckily, I didn't have water in my store - thank goodness!!!

Hi everyone. Im out of it because I am very

Monday night I was kinda tired but at about midnight I woke up feeling terrible! I was so dizzy that I couldnt get to the bathroom to find any aspirin and I knew I had a fever. Marc was working that night but yesterday morning he got home and took care of me. Ive had a fever of about 102 since yesterday and Marc stayed home today to take care of me again. Its very anoying because my temp. keeps bouncing up and down from 98 to 102. I may go to the doctor today.

I havent been able to pack since I got sick and now I will probably be rushed. Im so stressed right now that ill probably stay sick for another 2 days!

Right now Marc and I live in a house with 2 other people. For the next year begining in september the 2 people were moving out and 3 others moving in. One girl never signed the lease or got back to me when I messaged her. I got a call from our property management yesterday when I was feeling terrible and they said that this girl told them she wasnt living with us and wanted her deposit back! She never spoke to any of us and now its too late to find someone else and I cant afford the rent with one less person. Im just very upset that she agreed to it and screwed over 4 other people. Oh and to top it off I have to come up with more money to cover a bigger share of the deposit. Ive already decided that after this school year is over Im not living with any more people.

now I have to stop thinking about it because it makes me feel worse.

I really hate that it's darker and darker every morning when I wake up. I love it when the sun is already shining at 5:30am. Having the darker morning is such a wake up that summer is almost over Which makes me sad, because everyone knows how much I love love love the summer!!!!!!


CB - I"m sorry to hear you're sick and of all the stress right now Hang in there, it will get better - just think, you are moving to WDW for a short while, how awesome is that!!!!! In all seriousness, I do hope things get better soon

sandy - I think it's funny how different our areas are. We are still pretty bright in the early am! Also super hot! We haven't even hit our hottest days yet. I am glad there was no water damage to your store!

I am taking James to the MD for a check up and then to the orthodontist. After that I will go into work.

Hi ladies!

I've been pretty busy....one of our dogs died on Tuesday. It was unexpected and very sad. Ruby (a terrier mix) was only 7 years old. Needless to say it's been a rough last few days.

The girls and I have been crying on and off the last few days. My oldest asked me on Wednesday morning if she only dreamed Ruby died or was she really gone

Now I'm crying again!!

I'm gonna go hug my other dog.

I have a busy day today
I have to get the girls to school by 8am (they both have field trips today. Katie is going to The Shedd Aquarium and Steph is going to a place called The Enchanted Castle (an arcade)), and then I'm going to work for a short bit, and then I'm going out to lunch with some out of town relatives, and then I have to get the girls and come home to clean house in case these relatives come over tomorrow night. Never a dull moment today!!!!


Karen - It is funny about how different weather is. Another example is that we have our windows open, and air cond off because the weather is so much cooler. It's great to get some fresh air in the house!!!!

Kimba - So many hugs to you!!! Both Karen and I know the pain with losing a pet, so when you want to talk about it, we are here to listen. Your post makes me want to cry, because my beloved German Shepherd died unexpectadely when he was 5, and I was devostated. We definitly understand your pain, and like I said, we are here for you!!!


Well, I gotta go jump in the shower, and then brace myself to get the girls up early - I know they'll be crabby!!!! I'm not looking forward to Stephanie going back to school for this very reason.

slo - I envy you weather cool enough to just open windows! Our AC runs all day. our power bill in the summer months is AWFUL! Did the girls enjoy their field trips?

I am in Sarah's dorm room as I post. I got here a little while ago. It was hectic getting everything done. The kids are ready for school, Fifi is scheduled to go to the vet (turns out she had heartworms when we got her so now we have to treat them), cheer stuff is squared away. I have 89 cheerleaders at the park this season. I have ordered all of their uniforms and supplies, lined up all my coaches and had a cheer clinic before I left. I left my assistant director in charge. Emily and Haley will handle practice for our squad next week. I am not going to know what to do with myself all week. This should be lts of fun.
I got a haircut yesterday. I went shorter that I usually do so I can wear it down. I am normally a ponytail and scrubs or jeans kind of gal. this week I will be a make up, nice clothes and heels gal. I am feeling a little unsure of myself. i don't like being out of my comfort zone!
Sarah and I have mani/pedi appointments tomorrow. She has to do both for Rush, so we are treating her for her birthday which is on the 21st.

Good Morning All!

Sarah is in a meeting till 1:00. I am in her room. I have internet, cable, books to read and I had unlimited time to shower and do hair and makeup - what's a mom to do? I keep feeling like I should be running around asking the kids if they are ready yet! The rest of the week will be busy in the morning so I am going to enjoy the quiet. I think I am going to tiptoe out and find the church on campus. I can look up Mass times online. Talk to ya'll later!

It's so dark outside - HATE IT!!!!!

I'm sorry I haven't posted since Friday, but our internet & cable have been out since Friday night. It finally went back on late yesterday afternoon - thank goodness!!! It felt so weird having no internet and no tv for that long. I wonder what went wrong in our area, to have that out for so long That's never happened before.


Since I posted, we've had a lot going on, so I didn't really miss not having tv, except in the morning when I watch the news. Friday's lunch was less than enjoyable (the food that is), and then Friday night we went and pizza at my inlaws. Saturday I took all my girls (DD's and puppy) to get their picture taken, and they turned out awesome!!!!! Then we went out to dinner with the relatives Saturday night. Then yesterday we had friends over all day to use the pool, and then last night my friend and I took the girls to see some fireworks at a local fair. It was a very nice, busy, weekend


Karen - Are you home now? I bet you had a great time with Sarah this past weekend



Well, I'm off to get walking this morning.
I have worked out, since Wednesday, and I've been eating terribly all weekend (I even have a stomachache because of it). Have a great day today everyone!!!!

Hi everyone!

Kim-Im sorry about the loss of your dog. Ive definetly been through the loss of a pet too many times and know how you must be feeling.

At least Ive been feeling better the past few days. I just moved into the apartment here in Fl. and am already bored! The first few days we just have meetings, paperwork, and orientation type stuff going on. I'm so anxious to go do something and go to the parks since I havent been since I was little, but I have to wait until Wed. when I get my employee ID

I hope everyone is having a great time and staying healthy.

**I just had to add that I freaked out in Walmart today because I thought they were having power surges. I didnt know they didnt use lights and only used skylights! It was a cloud passing overhead, but It really did scare me.
