slo - I hope your picture turned out beautifully!!! You can't get the flu from the shot because it is not a live virus. The mist is a live virus - but made to be really weak so you shouldn't get any symptoms. Do you get your girls vaccinated?

Wow......that is very interesting!!! I never knew that.

Katie only got vaccinated once, and that was when she was a 1 1/2 years old. Do you think it's a real good idea to get vaccinated?

Yawn.......I was sleeping so good this morning. I didn't want to get up at all :sad2: I have another all day training class today - I'm so not in the mood. Once I'm there though, it will be okay - it's getting there that's always the difficult part.

Have a good day today!! :wave:

HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

I have to work all day but just thought I'd jump on here to say hi and wish you all a wonderful Sunday.

Yesterday's class was so long - but still interesting and informative. These classes are well worth the time.

I slept in today until 8am, and now I'm doing some quick posts before I jump in the shower. We are going out today to look for X-Mas dresses for the girls, some new jeans for Steph, and a new X-Mas tree for the family room (because the raccoons in the spring had a lot of fun in our old one in the attic). Before we start our day, we are going to go out for breakfast - I love going out for breakfast :goodvibes

Have a good day everyone!! :wave:

Happy Monday Everyone!

slo - It sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. I love days like that!! Were you able to find the girls Christmas dresses?? If so, are they matching?

We get a real tree each year. We try to go the weekend after Thanksgiving each year, sort of our tradition.

I have to work all day today. Hope everyone has a great Monday!

This weekend went by to fast!!!!!

We were successful in finding a new X-Mas tree yesterday. Hopefully the raccoons won't get into this one in the spring :rolleyes: We went with colored lights instead of white lights - I sure hope I'm happy with this decision.

eeyoresmountainpals - The girls dresses are sorta matching. They are the same dress but Stephanie's is green and Katie's is red. Now I have to find something to put in their hair. I give myself such a headache over these pictures :rolleyes:
**I do like real X-Mas trees, but Kevin's allergies would never allow it. He would be sucking on an inhaler the whole season :rolleyes:

Well, I gotta run and get ready for work - have a good day today!!! :wave:

slo - I'm glad you got your tree and the girl's dresses! I love a real tree!
Our football team won this weekend, so we will play in the championship next weekend. We just relaxed on Sunday. Jim and I were both home! It was nice!
I do vaccinate my kids aganist the flu. Anything to help keep them healthy!

Good Tuesday morning everyone!!! :wave2:

Stephanie came home from school yesterday so excited - she passed her Level 2 time tests :cheer2: :cheer2: We have been working so hard on this every night, and Stephanie was really hoping to pass this test before Thanksgiving. Now we get to start on subtraction :thumbsup2

Idroveallnight - Congrats on your team going to the championships :cheer2: :cheer2: Sending lots of PD for your team to kick butt :teeth:

Well, I"m off to the real estate office - have a good day everyone!!! :wave:

Just stopping by to say happy "Hump" day everyone. I feel like I've been working so much lately I had to remember that today was even Wednesday!

Have a great day.

I owe, I owe, so off to work I go! ;)

Tell Stephanie congratulations on her test!! Good for her! :teacher:

I am hoping we win this weekend! Of course, we have to practice every day this week! :woohoo: I just love practice!!!

Does eveyone have big plans for Thanksgiving?

Yesterday was such a nice morning in the Real Estate office. We did our normal home tour (where agents caravan around looking at new listings), and then afterwards we went to the office for our office meeting and pot luck lunch. I met so many people and they were all very very nice, and very welcoming to me :goodvibes I'm so glad I choose to work out of this office.
Oh....and I finally got my name badge yesterday too, so I feel like I'm finally part of the club :teeth:

Today I am going back to the doctor today because it's been a week since my last visit, and he wanted to see me. It's good I'm going because even though I feel better, I am still coughing alot - especially at night - very annoying for me and anyone with me. We have to turn the volume up higher on the tv :happytv:

eeyoresmountainpals - I"m sorry you've been working so much lately :guilty: When does the campground close for the season?

Idroveallnight - I will tell her congrats - thanks!!! :goodvibes
For Thanksgiving we have the entire family over at my house (we do for every holiday actually). What are you doing?

Well, I gotta run - have a good day today!!! :wave:

Good Thursday morning everyone!!! :wave:

Happy Friday everyone! :cool1: It's Friday, it's Friday! Yippee!

slo - I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying your new job and that everyone is welcoming you so nicely. That makes a big difference!

As for me, the campground closed on 10/31! :cool1: I was so thrilled when the season was over. I have, however, been working full-time hours at the store. And with Matthew starting basketball I don't get home until about 6. Makes for a really long day.

I am off today and tomorrow and plan to try to take back my house! :teeth: We have friends from FL coming for Thanksgiving so I would at least like to have my house presentable! This is the only time that we get to see them. They come up for five or six days and stay at her mom's condo about 25 miles from us. We may get together one evening to take the kids bowling but they always come for dinner on Thanksgiving. This will be our sixth year doing this. They have four kids but two won't be coming this year. That's what happens when they get older. Our DD will be coming up and hopefully her BF will be able to get off work and come up too.

Idroveallnight - Good luck this weekend! :cheer2: :wizard:

We are all going to my mom's house for Thanksgiving. She & my dad are in Mexico on a mission trip. I miss her when she's not home! :sad2:
Sarah will be home for Thanksgiving! She has inly been home once since leaving for college. She will go back after turkey day, but then be home in mid-December for a few weeks! :woohoo:
slo - your job sounds great!

I know how nice it will be for Sarah to be home, even if it is only for a short time!

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Kathy - I rememeber you talking about your Florida friends coming for Thanksgiving last year. That sounds so nice - I bet you all enjoy spending this holiday together :goodvibes I'm glad your DD will be coming home for Thanksgiving - I hope her boyfriend can come too :wizard:

Karen - Is your mom on a mission trip with her church? What is she doing on her trip - I don't know much about mission trips. Tell her when she comes home to come and visit us on this thread sometime :) I'm glad your DD will be coming home for Thanksgiving and in December :) I know how much you and Kathy both miss your girls.

Well, I gotta run - have a good Friday everyone!!! :wave:

Today will be a festive day around the house - Christmas tree #1 is going up in the living room today
16.gif
. I like having this tree up for Thanksgiving, because you can see it from the dining room and it looks so pretty. Plus, it sheds some extra light in the living room, which we need. I have no lights in there because this is a living room that no one is allowed to sit in - yes, I one of those goofy people :blush: I do allow my company to sit in there though, so that's why it's nice to have the extra light.

Happy Saturday everyone!

slo - I wish we were putting our tree up! I'd love it up during Thanksgiving but DH says it's too early. So we will get ours next weekend. - I don't think you're goofy at all to have a "fancy" living room. I wish we did. That's something I've always wanted and told DH that if we build one of these days that is a must. That and a "formal" dining room!

~~~~~~~
What a night I had last night. Had to go pick up Andrew at 10:30. He went to the high school football game. It was a playoff game and they won. Now they're in the state quarter-finals next week. He went with a friend and the friend's mom picked them up and we were to meet near their house. Naturally, they were late. We didn't get home until 11:30. On the way home we passed an ambulance headed back to town. Gave me the chills.
At 11:45 DH called (he's on night shift). Our friend's son (16) had been in a car wreck. He was the passenger. That was who was in the ambulance that we passed. DH had to go and pick up mom and two younger brothers and take them to the scene. This is the older brother of Matthew's best friend.
I called the hospital and asked them to give a message to the mom (my friend) to have her call. She called and I offered to come pick up their other two boys at the hospital and bring them here for the night. So I went back to town, picked up the boys and we got home at about 1:30.
They ran all sorts of tests, did a ct scan and xrays and all the scans and xrays were negative. He ended up with some stitches in the back of his head. The driver ended up with a cracked rib and dislocated shoulder but he'll be fine too.
They got home from the hospital at 5 a.m. and got him settled in and then came to get their boys here at 6:30. They were hoping to get the younger ones home before it got too bright out so that maybe they would go right back to sleep.
They were both very lucky. Hopefully they both heed this as a warning and are more careful. The driver is known for drag racing and just driving fast all the time! I don't think our friend's son will be hanging out with the driver much any more! :sad2:
~~~~~~~~

Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. I worked all day yesterday cleaning the house and after I run a few errands today I'm going to do the same thing again. I'm finally realizing that my house really is here under all this mess! :rotfl:
