am i there yet - I understand about your daughter! My oldest leaves on the 13th for college!

At least I know I'm not the only one!

She was here yesterday too and I'll get to see her one more time before she leaves.

I gave her a hard time when she showed up yesterday, telling her she was like a bad booger that I couldn't seem to shake.

Something tells me she's getting a little shaken up by it too. I predict lots of tears in the upcoming week.

I know it will be hard for me & Sarah! She goes to register next week and then we count down to when we move her into her dorm! I don't know what I will do with her gone!

slo - I'm still out here! It has just been crazy the last week or so! Football/cheerleading registration has started and on & on & on!!!! Enjoy your rain! Ours has been kinda hit & miss. How is school?

I can't help but get worried when I don't hear from you for a long time. I'm a worry wart - it's going to really drive my girls crazy when they are older .

Sounds like you have been busy School is boring. The chapters we are studying for the upcoming test on the 29th is all about finance - I hate finance !!! Luckily, my teacher makes it more interesting in the classroom, but that doesn't help me when I'm reading the chapters at home

How is the new puppy doing?

How is everyone today? Sarah left with some friends to go to Daytona for a long weekend. I have to admit watching her drive off was hard - I kept thinking about when she goes to school. Jim & I will be driving up with her when she moves into the dorm.

slo - I don't think I would like finance classes either. Sounds boring!
Hannah is doing well - we are going to send her to puppy school! Hopefully she will learn quickly. She is very smart!

I'm sorry I'm just now answering! I've been doing stealth postings on DIS the past few days. There just hasn't been enough time to sit for a few moments to get caught up!

Brittani is coming over tomorrow night for the last time. She leaves on Thursday. Her dad and her step-mother are driving her to Lubbock.

Luckily I'll be occupied that day at the Reliant Dog Show, with Golden rescue. It'll keep my mind off of it.

Everyone have a great saturday! We have tons of running around to do, capped by a birthday party on the lake.

It's going to be 100 degrees here today

. I know many of you are used to that kind of heat, but we aren't here in the Chicago area All I can say is, I'm so glad we have a pool

My husband is a wonderful man who is the rock of my life. His full-time paid job is a policeofficer ::cop:, and he also is a volunteer fireman :. Not only is my husband a ::cop:, but my father is a ::cop:, and my brother in law is a ::cop:. I come from a family who loves to help people and I think that this value will be instilled in my children as they grow up just as it was instilled in my having a ::cop: for a dad. Good Monday morning everyone!!!

Yesterday was a fun day in the pool, and then we spent the evening with my family. We were celebrating my brothers b-day, and we went out to dinner and then went back to my mom's to watch old movies. Stephanie thought it was pretty fun to watch me when I was her age

Today I have to work, which is a bummer Oh well, then I don't have to work until Friday

Idroveallnight - Yes, we do have a lot of humidity here When it gets real hot, the weather people are always talking about the humidity. To answer your question about the pool, I don't think they are a lot of upkeep I don't do any of it, but I don't see Kevin slaving over the pool. He wouldn't get rid of it for anything To answer your question about puppy school, I sent my puppies to a privately owned place here in our town that trains police dogs. The person that owns this place also has a fantastic kennel that I also boarded my dogs at when I went on vacation. I have no idea how a place like PetSmart is, but I would check out somewhere privately owned too, just because the puppy won't be distracted by shoppers and noises in the store. I loved puppy kindergarten (that's what it was called), it was fun!!!

Oh man, it was so tough. My DD16 fell to pieces. She called me this morning and told me she already missed me.

This is a running around day here. Steph has school , then we have to go order her birthday balloons

, then go order her birthday cake and do grocery shopping, then I'll let the girls swim a little bit, then Steph has swim lessons, then I have school , and then I finally get to stay home to go to sleep

Ok - so I need help from anyone who might know - DD11, Emily, wants to join the DIS which I am OK with! Yes she will have lots of supervision!! SHe set everything up and then webmaster sent an email about parental consent forms. I have used the link they sent twice & cannot find anything about consent forms! Ugh!!! I have replied to the email twice, but it keeps getting sent back! ANybody know where to find the forms? Thanks!

She's going to teach third grade! I'm so proud of her. I never would have thought she'd want to teach, after the way she and her sister have gotten along!

And yes, I'm already checking airfare for Lubbock! I can't wait for her to come home and spend some time here again.
