Tonight DH took me to Pepe's for dinner. I would have chose something else, but we had to go while Stephanie was at CCD and that was one of the closest restaurants. I'm pretty excited because Kevin still has a gift to give me - I wonder what it is???

Good morning everyone!!

I got some new clothes for my last gifts for my birthday. Kevin is such a good shopper for me He also gave me 3 big figurines from WDW (he had them shipped home for me - this was a surprise) I love these big figurines - I now have 8 - pretty soon my house is going to look like a Disney Museum

Idroveallnight - thanks for the belated birthday wish. I hope Emily is not to nervous about her speech today - I'll send her lots of PD so she is not nervous and gives a great speech

eeyoresmountainpals - Are you almost packed for vacation? Are you still going with this current storm? I can't remember what your countdown timer says. Oh......I have a new FD trading card that I'm going to be sending A.J. soon - this one has all of our fireman on it (including my DH )

I can't believe your DH is such a shopper! Wish my was. I can't imagine my DH having the forethought to ship gifts home! Just not in his nature!

No, I'm not packed yet! We leave tomorrow. For now we're going as planned. Kind of waiting and watching!

Thanks for the well wishes, slo! We are planning to leave around 3 today. We are very nervous about Hurricane Wilma. I feel like we're going to be heading down into the state while everybody else is heading out of the state! DH and I talked in length last night about whether we should go, whether we should cancel, what we should do. It looks like it has slowed down quite a bit so we have decided to go ahead. Who knows, we may get there and then get evacuated. I've packed Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Candyland and cards so if we're stuck in the room we'll be able to have something to keep us busy.

We will not be back until very late on the 30th! I'm going to miss everyone here!

eeyoursmountainpals - I completely understand how hard of a decision this is because last year when Hurricane Jeanne (2004) was coming toward Florida we had to decide if we should stay or if we should go - it was a very hard decision to make. We did decide to go because the hurricane was at the end of our vacation and we didn't want to be stranded in Florida - both Kevin and I had to go back to work and Stephanie had to get back at school. Also, BabyKate was only 13 months and I was getting close to the end of my Formula, babyfood, and diapers - plus she was on such a strict diet because all sugars were burning her skin (she had severe, bleeding diapers rashes) and therefore she couldn't have anything with sugar (diary - lactose, fruit - fructose, any regular sugars - sucrose), so being stranded with her at that time would have been very very difficult.

I think you guys will be fine. You'll have a lot of rain from the outer bans of the hurricane, but don't let it spoil your fun. We had a lot of rain this year because of the outer bans of Hurricane Rita, and we still had lots of fun - this was one of our best vacations!!. I think its a great idea to take some games incase you are in the room more than expected and luckily your boys are older and easier to entertain.

I'm watching the news as I post and the weather man just said that the hurricane will hit Florida on Monday now and it will only be a 1 or a 2 - that's good news. You guys will be fine!!

Well, I can hardly wait till you come home to hear about your trip. Until then, have a good time, stay safe, eat lots of yummy food, and take lots of pictures!!!!

Hope all is well with you! How is DD's school year progressing? Is she less stressed about spelling tests now?

Good evening ladies - I just got back from volunteering at the Fun Fair at Stephanie's school. I worked the Cake Walk and I was shocked at how many people love to do the Cake Walk. Now we are home, the kids are in bed, and I'm going to go to bed myself - I'm tired!!!

Stephanie got good news today at gymnastics - her teacher advanced her to the next level which is the intermediate gymnastics level. This is a really big deal because most girls are still to young for this level and can only advance if they have mastered many required skills. She has been going to gymnastics since she was 2 1/2yrs old and she is getting pretty good. Once she is in this higher level she is going to advance so fast. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will be doing back-hand springs by summer.

Idroveallnight - that is great news about Emily!!! Tell her that your Dis friend said CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I'm so excited for her!!!

slo - that is great about Staphanie! My girls both tumble with cheerleading so I know all about back handsprings!! They don't do any of the other gymnastics skills - just tumbling. It's a super challenging sport! Good for her!!

Not a fireman's wife but my best friend is a fireman's wife!
They have a 4yr old son.
When Ed is not off working as a Fireman, he can be found down on the docks working as a Lobsterman!!!!
He just recently joined the force this yr because when he first joined the force where he works had a hiring freeze in place and the newbies couldnt get on at the time.

I am also the cousin of a couple fireman and the neice of a retired fireman!

Good evening everyone!!

So, how was everyone's weekend? Our's was pretty good. Friday night I volunteered at the Fun Fair at Stephanie's school, Saturday night our FD had their 90th anniversary dinner, and today I cleaned house all day - I used alot of Febreeze and my house smells so nice . Now I am watching the World Series and Dising

Idroveallnight - I'm really hoping Stephanie is a cheerleader someday too and I'm hoping her gymnastics skills will help her with that How old are your girls again? - I can't remember.

Mad4Mickey - I love the picture of your nephew - very very cute!!! How old is he now?? So, you are leaving for The World in a couple of days - I hope you have loads of fun!!
