Morning fellow wives

Slo you always make me smile !

Eeyoresmoutnainpals did I already ask you if you were doing the MNSSHP ? I will be there when you are there we are staying WL Concierge accross the lake from you : ) We get there on the 25th and we do the party on Thursday . If you are there and see me please come up to me .... I have a DIS Button that says MAD4MICKEY on it and we are going to the party in Fire Dept shirts and I wear a placstic fire hat . Cheap costume I know LOL

MAD4MICKEY ~ We arrive on 10/22 for one night at the Contemporary, switch to the POLY on 10/23 for 7 nights and are doing MNSSHP on the 25th. I will be watching for you! Our family isn't too hard to pick out. I have red hair as do two of our boys, youngest DS is blonde and DH doesn't have much hair at all. DS16 (one of the redheads) has Down Syndrome. So our family does tend to stand out a little. Please come up to us if you see us! I'd love to meet you!

eeyoresmountainpals - How was your day with your DD? I hope it was good. Also, how did she take the news about you guys going to WDW in a couple of days?

slo ~ Sorry about your eye infections. I would be anxious to hear what the doctor has to say today also. Could it be a severe allery instead of an actual infection?

DD didn't take the news about our trip all that well! She was not happy at all. I did take her grocery shopping after telling her so that smoothed it over a little!

eeyoresmountainpals - I'm glad your DD is recovering from the shock!! I think my DD may change her mind about not going when the time comes!

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my eye infection has now moved into the other eye - so I'm looking really pretty this morning Thanks for all your concern about my eye's - I really appreciate it

The eye doctor definitly feels that this eye infection is either being caused by my makeup or the babyoil that I use to take off the makeup. He said that I need to clear up my eyes with the drops and then introduce one thing at a time back onto my face so we can see what the source of this infection is. All I know, is that I'm getting really tired of buying and throwing away my makeup everytime this happens, it's getting expensive.

eeyoresmountainpals - I have red hair too. I'm sure yours is natural since your boys have red hair too, mine is out of a box (shhhh don't tell anyone )

ok, so my DH is not a FF, but he does dedicate his life to others. He became a deputy with our county in Dec. 2000. He absolutly LOVES what he does. Since then, he has become a Sgt. Detective of Narcotics. He helps get the drugs off the streets. He is excellent at what he does and i am PROUD of him. Yes, it gets hard sometimes, especially now that we have a DS3. He's not home most nights, so our time with him is limited sometimes. He does his very best to be a great husband and 'daggy' (that's what DS has always called him) and we support him. He has his dream job and he's lovin it. ANyways, before i get all emotional here, Can I Join you wifes, dads, husbands and whomever else may be in this great support group!!!!

Hi! Welcome to the thread! Mind if I ask where you are in NC? We are up in the high country of NC. My DH is also a deputy! (Found this thread because he and I are also both volunteer firefighters.) My DH is a road deputy now, but has worked as a detective in the past and worked undercover many years ago! We have four children so I know exactly what you're going through and how hard it is with children when your DH is in law enforcement.

Anyway, welcome to the thread. Hope you'll stop by often.

slo - Glad the doctor doesn't think that it's anything more than an allergy. Not that an allergy isn't a real problem...but it could be worse!

Have you ever tried Clinique make-up? It's a little more expensive but it is all hypo-allergenic. I remember my mom always using that because of her allergies!

Today is Andrew's 13th birthday! I can't believe he is a teenager!!

I'll make sure I show Andrew your birthday wishes! He's having a friend sleep over tonight and they think that his friend has to go home in the morning. Actually, we're going to surprise all the boys and take them to Dollywood tomorrow. It's about 2-1/2 hours from here. (DH just had 2 teeth pulled yesterday, so unless he has any problems from that then that is the plan.)

Andrew's birthday was fun...but we've had a change of plans about Dollywood. Gave him that surprise last night and him and his friend and Matthew decided that they'd rather be able to stay up late last night, get up a little later this morning and go to Pigeon Forge for go-carting and laser tag than to have to leave here at 6:30 a.m. for Dollywood So they asked for a big country breakfast and then it was decided that we'd leave around 10 this morning. By ten no one was up. By 11 I had pulled them out of bed for breakfast! So, no Dollywood, no Pigeon Forge. We're going to go to Walmart later and then bring home pizza. My boys are thrilled with this option but I do feel bad for Andrew's friend. I think he's getting cheated out of the fun. We did promise to take him with us next time we go to Pigeon Forge for the day or to Dollywood for the day, though!

Greetings all! DH and I are home! We had a wonderful time! It was so nice to get away from everything! Mt. Cheaha was beautiful. The leaves are just starting to turn so we didn't have all the wonderful colors, but the mountains were awesome!!

Happy belated birthday to Andrew!! The important thing is that he had a great birthday!

Well, we are in campaign mode here! Emily - DD 8- is running for Student Council president. We are up to our eyeballs in posters, stickers and fliers! She has wanted to do this since kindergarten so keep your fingers crossed! I hope everyone who is travelling soon is excited! I am so excited for ya'll. We did MNSSHP a few years ago & it was great!!
