As I'm typing this, The Today Show is showing Sadamm as he's about ready to get hung - I'm so glad Stephanie isn't up yet - I wouldn't want her to see that. :sad2:

Kathy - I'm so sorry that you and your family have been sick :guilty: But I"m glad that you had a nice Christmas, and Heather was able to make it. Is she still with her boyfriend? I'm going to send LOADS of PD your way to help you and your family feel better:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Karen - I'm so sorry to hear that you, James and Emily are not well either:guilty: But it sounds like you had a nice Christmas ::yes::, which is great!!!! I'm going to send you LOADS of PD too :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

AmIThereYet - I'm so sorry to hear that you are getting a bad cold (I'm starting to feel really quilty because I feel fine). I'm going to send you a LOAD of PD too for you to feel better and for you DH to get your cold after you shared that drink :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
**I have never been to Outback Steakhouse, but I would like to try. We have one by the mall and it is always jammed with a huge wait. The thought of waiting to eat there with Katie is enough to make me do this:scared1: So I quess I will have to wait until she is either older or Kevin and I are alone.

Well, I gotta run - we going to downtown Chicago today to walk around and see the Christmas decorations before they are taken down.

Have a good day today everyone, and please, feel better soon!!!!! :wave2:

Slo, it looks like you need to spread the PD all over this thread! You're apparently the only one who hasn't been sick! :rotfl:

Last night I started wondering if it was a cold, or worse - the dreaded flu. I took a Lunesta just so I'd sleep through the night. When I woke up, I felt no worse, so it looks like a cold it is.

I HATE these things and I never can remember to keep some Zycam around the house. :sad2:

Here's hoping that we're all better by midnight tomorrow night.

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE TO ALL!

I am going back to work today. I hope I can make it through the whole day!

Hope you all have a nice day!

I want to wish you all...................

I hope 2007 is a wonderful year for you and your family.
I also am looking forward to another of year of chatting with you:goodvibes

AmIThereYet - I'm glad you don't have the flu, even though a bad cold can be just as bad. I'm sorry you have to start 2007 sick:guilty: but I'll send you tons of more PD to help you feel better soon:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Kathy - I'm sorry you have to work today:guilty: How are you feeling? Still sending lots of PD your way:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Karen - How are you feeling? Are you feeling any better? Got lots more PD coming your way:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Well, I gotta go refill my PD wand:wizard: to send more PD tomorrow if everyone is still under the weather. In all seriousness, I will keep you in my prayers for you all to feel better soon.

Take care, God Bless, and Happy New Year!!!!!:grouphug:

Happy News Year to you too! Make it a safe one!

Thanks for the PD! I think it might be working a teeny bit. I woke up with that lovely post-nasal drip, so I can tell things are finally started to progress - even if it's a progression that I despise!

I predict that by tomorrow, I'll feel like my old self again!

Just in time too, because we sold our big-screen television, the entertainment center it goes in, all of the end tables and my coffee table, and my DD8's bedroom furniture!

An agent in my office bought all of it, and they're coming to pick it up tomorrow. That means I have to clean everything out! :scared1:

Happy New Year's to everyone!!! party:

Emily and I are much better! I went back to work today. Thanks for the PD!
I don't think I am going to make it to midnight! I will probably head off to bed soon. Emily has her BF Emily spending the night. I went next door and played Wii with my sister. It is really cool!
I hope everyone has a great night and a fantastic new year!!

Happy Monday everyone. Hope everyone enjoys the first day of this new year.

I made it through work yesterday! Didn't do too bad after the first couple of hours. Just had to get back into the habit of staying upright! :lmao: I hope everyone that has been feeling crummy is starting to feel better! :wizard:

Have a good day. I'm off to work!

Happy New Year everyone!!!! :grouphug:

We had a very nice night last night with our family. We watched the Bear vs. Greenbay Packer game, then played Disney's Scene, then did Kevin's b-day, and after all that, it was midnight. I gotta tell this story.......Ms. Katie never napped yesterday, she just couldn't sleep, and she actually made it to midnight. By 10pm she was starting to look like a zombie, but she refused to go to bed. When midnight she hit, she walked up to me and said, "Happy New Year mama." So I hugged her and kissed her, and told her to tell everyone Happy New Year. So she went up to everyone and told them that and then afterwards she layed on the couch and collapsed :faint: She fell asleep in under 10 seconds - it was so cute that I actually took pictures of her laying there. God Bless her!!!!!:cutie:

AmIThereYet - How are you feeling today? I hope your fellow agent doesn't come over to early today.

Karen - Does your sister live next door? What is Wii?
**I'm so glad that you and Emily are feeling better - that's very good news!!!!

Kathy - How's everyone in your home feeling?

Well, I'm off and running
I have to start packing today :)
I"m going to WDW this weekend :woohoo:

Have a good day!!! :wave2:

So....I thought I would share some photos with you all on NYD

Awwww... what a sweet story! God, I miss having little ones! They're such a joy to be around. :)

AmIThereYet - How are you feeling today? I hope your fellow agent doesn't come over to early today.

I feel soooooo much better today! My throat was killing me last night, and then I woke up feeling fine!

I could have done without John calling me at 6:45am though! :scared1:

My co-worker is on his way right now, at a very respectable time, thank goodness!

Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning everyone!

slo - Thanks for sharing the pics and the story about Katie. I agree, though, I sure miss having ones that age!

I forgot all about your trip to WDW! I bet you're so excited? How are the girls taking it, though? Who will they be staying with?

Am_I_There_Yet - I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better. Wish I lived closer...I need furniture and I know the boys would have loved a big screen tv! I could have used all but DD8's furniture! Why are you selling all of it? Just time for a change?? :confused3 It's time for a change here - our living room suit is a hand-me-down...it's what my mom bought the year I graduated! :lmao: (And we won't even go into what year that was!:lmao: )

Our family is pretty much back on their feet. Still a few lingering coughs and a little bit or tiredness. (I went to bed at 7 last night and still had trouble getting out of bed at 6 this morning!)

Well, another day of work. Hope you all have a great day!

Well, here I am at 6am, no more sleeping in for me:sad2:
Stephanie is still on Christmas break, but her and I have to go into the frame shop today, and then I'm taking her to see Night at the Museum. Tomorrow is when she returns back to school. I was really enjoying her being off these last couple of weeks ::yes::

AmIThereYet - I'm so glad you are feeling better. All that PD must have worked;)

Kathy - Your welcome for the pictures:goodvibes
**We are getting excited, but it's not going to be a relaxing trip:sad2: We are leaving home Friday at 6am, then Saturday we have to leave our resort at 5:30am to see our friend run the 1/2 marathon, and then Sunday and Monday we have 9am ADR's. This will be fun, but like I said, not relaxing :sad2: The girls are doing okay with us leaving - I told them that I will bring them back something ;) .
**I"m glad everyone is seeming on the mend at your house. That's good news!!!! The PD must have worked for your family too - gotta love that PD:wizard: ;)

Well, I'm off to get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!! :wave2:

Hi Everyone, I am new to this thread.

I joined the dis at some point, but dont remember...lol

I am married to a volunteer ff. He has been doing it for 17 years. He has served as everything from lt to an asst chief. He took some time from being an officer to spend more time with the kids. He has recently started being more active again. Never quit, just wasnt as active. I am a sahm to 2.

I hope that I am not intruding on a private discussion. I would like to get to know everyone on here. It was so nice to stumble onto a thread filled with other wives and family members who deal with similiar things.

Welcome to the DIS and to the thread! :thumbsup2

My DH is a career firefighter for a city north of Houston. He's been at it for over 13 years and also has a home inspection business that he runs on his off-days (he's 24/48).

Right now he's playing electrician, and trying to figure out how to hang a plasma television.

I'm playing lazy real estate agent and watching.:rotfl2:

Ooohhh... I really want to see that! We have DD8 this weekend, so hopefully we're going to see it too!

Let me know how you liked it!

AmIThereYet - I'm so glad you are feeling better. All that PD must have worked;)

Please send more. DD21 is still here from college (and staying here with me) and she just called me to tell me that she thinks she's getting the flu. Gotta love this time of year!:headache:

Am_I_There_Yet - I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better. Wish I lived closer...I need furniture and I know the boys would have loved a big screen tv! I could have used all but DD8's furniture! Why are you selling all of it? Our living room is configured in such a stupid way.

One wall is broken up by the entry; one by the fireplace; and one by a wall of windows. We had one wall where we could put the entertainment center that I've owned for about ten years. The rest of our furniture had to be centered in the middle of the room.

That left us enough space for a couch and a chair. When we had friends over, there was never enough seating space.

We realized that if we lost the entertainment center - hence, the big screen is now gone - we could put the couch on that wall and add two more chairs -hence the need to put a plasma (actually we got an LCD - to me, they're all the same!) over the fireplace.

I actually don't like the look of a flat screen, but I plan to foo-foo it up with some wrought iron over the top of it. Hey... I'm a girl, what can I say.

Aren't you sorry you asked now???

BTW, I still have DD16's furniture to unload! Take a drive and I'll give you a "gas money" break! :rotfl:

Our family is pretty much back on their feet. Still a few lingering coughs and a little bit or tiredness. (I went to bed at 7 last night and still had trouble getting out of bed at 6 this morning!)

Well, another day of work. Hope you all have a great day!

Sounds like you're on the mend though! I still have what I like to call "elastic snot". :scared:

Thank you for the welcome!

I hope everyone is feeling better at both homes.

Sounds like lots of rearranging. Good luck getting everything just the way you want it.

This time on Friday I will be leaving for WDW:cool1:
I finally put about 3 things in the suitcase last night - I"m going to finish my packing today:thumbsup2

My review of Night at the Museum:
I LOVED IT!!!!!!
I give it 2 hugs thumbs up :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
I thought the movie was lots of fun, and it made me laugh outloud:happytv:
If you like the movie Jumanji, you will love this movie ::yes::

Welcome to the DIS and welcome to our thread.
I am so so glad you stopped by, and I hope you come by often so we can get to know you. You absolutly didn't intrude on us at all :sad2:
**As you probably already read, my DH is a volunteer firemas too. He is now an officer, and he loves it - I am very proud of him.
**I, like AmIThereYet, and also a Real Estate Agent. She is experienced, and I am brand new, but I was taught to say that I've been in real estate, "for quite some time now.":rotfl2:

Am_I_There_Yet - I'm so sorry your DD is getting sick:sick: Sending loads of PD to her right away :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: What is she studying in school? If you already said, I can't remember - I just remember when she left for school.

Well, I gotta run - Katie (my 3 year old) and I have a lot of errands to do today.
Have a good day today everyone!!!!
