Popping in for a quick hello!

As you can see, I have such a hard time keeping up with daily threads, that I always resort to lurking. My poor brain can't keep up! :surfweb:

Slo - enjoyed reading your report! I'd love to hear (and see) more details on the Polynesian! Did you post more pics on any other board? Did you ever take your exam?

And - a BIG hello to everyone else!

Hi!!! :wave2:

So good to see you!!!! :)

That's okay that you lurk, as long as you post in once in awhile to say hi!! :teeth:

Thanks for the compliment on the TR :goodvibes

I regretfully didn't take pictures of inside our room at The Poly :guilty: I thought about it after the kids tore it up  But I can say that it's all remodeled and it looks great!!!

I did take my exam and I passed it :Pinkbounc I have to get together with my Broker now and pay them money so I can get started :thumbsup2 I'm very excited and nervous all at the same time

How's everything with you and your family?

Wow SLO! Ya'll got a bunch done yesterday! It's getting cooler here - it will be 83 this afternoon. SO, everything is still blooming here. My hibiscus are still beautiful. Jim is really excited - we have lots of fruit on our satsuma & lemon trees. We actually have bananas on our banana tree this year - first time ever! I need to get started on our Halloween decorations, but I have learned the hard way that if you put your pumpkins out too soon down here, they rot! Very icky!!! I suppose I could put out everything else... We'll see!! :scratchin

I wish it was 83 here :guilty: , but they are talking snow flurries on Thursday :cold: Stephanie has a soccer game this cold night too - BUMMER!!!!

That's awesome that you have a banana tree and that it has bananas this year. Is this something you planted, or did it come with your home? I hope they turn out good for you so you can eat them.

How's Hanna doing? :dogdance: How old is she now?

Hey slo! Jim planted the banana tree a few years ago.

Funny you should ask about Hannah - she is 6 months old now! And guess what she got?? Her own dog!! We decided she needed some socialization. We adopted a dog from the SPCA. He is a year old. They said he is a border collie mix. He's really a good dog! His name is Harley. Hannah is much better now. Calmer, better behaved. I was worried about a shelter dog, because you don't know much about them, but he's really sweet. He has all of his shots, was neutered and microchipped.

Snow flurries???? I do think James would love to play football in the snow! We are still in shorts every day! :sunny:

Here's the final installment of my TR :)

Thursday - Epcot day

We woke up early to get ready for our breakfast with Cinderella at the castle. I still wasn't feeling 100%, but I was feeling alot better than the night before. So we got all ready, hoped the monorail, and went to the CRT for breakfast.

wdw2004077.jpg

Things changed at the CRT from the last time we were there. Instead of Fairy Godmother sitting in the castle lobby, we now have Cinderella there taking pictures with her guests. She no longer walks around the tables. This was nice, but the girls really enjoyed seeing Fairy Godmother and they missed her.

pics475.jpg

The Princesses there that day were Alice, Snow White and Belle.

pics490.jpg

Another change is each girl got a magic wand and each boy got a magic sword. Then during breakfast they had a special thing where the kids would wave their sword or wand and make a wish - it was really cute. Stephanie has the wand in the picture below.

pics486.jpg

If you've ever been to the CRT, the food didn't change, and it's still just, okay

Then after our breakfast we headed back to The Poly for the girls to change out of their dresses and for Kevin to get his scuba items for his dive at The Living Seas.

We were there during Epcots Food and Wine Festival which is something we have never seen before. All the countries had these great food booths, but we didn't eat any of it, we were to full from breakfast.

pics028.jpg

Our first stop in Epcot is always at The Leave a Legacy to find the girls tile. We had their picture taken in 2005 when Katie was 13 months and Stephanie was 6.

pics003.jpg

Afterwards we did Spaceship Earth, went to the Art Store and bought myself a very expensive Jiminy Cricket that Kevin is giving me for my birthday, and then we headed over towards the World Showcase. We went straight for Japan so the girls could buy some Hello Kitty things and so I could get my oyster. This year, my oyster had twins!!! I had them mounted on what looks like an upside wish bone, and now I have to buy a gold chain for it.

pics016.jpg

Then our way back is when we met up with some friends (I know some of you saw this already)

pics026.jpg

After visiting with them, we raced back to the front of the park so Kevin could meet up with his scuba diving group. After he found them, me and the girls went to The Living Seas to watch him scuba dive in the big tank - it was so cool. It took a lot of time though. We were there from 4:30pm - 7:30pm.

pics045.jpg

When he was done with Dive Quest we got a bite to eat and Katie and I went to find a place to watch Illuminations while Kevin and Steph went to ride Test Track. It was a beautiful night!! Not to hot with a nice breeze. Illuminations was awesome as normal!!!

pics046.jpg

Friday - MNSHHP

The next morning we slept in a little and had a quick breakfast before we went out to rent our annual Pontoon boat. I love doing this!!!! It's so relaxing to putter around on that boat while taking in the sites.

pics047.jpg

Isn't this a great shot of the monorail!!

pics892.jpg

After our boat adventure we went swimming in the pool and then it was time to get ready for the party. We had a 4pm ADR at LTT so we had to get moving.

Stephanie was a lady bug and Katie was Cinderella

pics084.jpg

Everything was so decorated for the party, that it was hard for me to narrow my pictures down for this TR

pics083.jpg

pics085.jpg

We met up with these guys - they were pretty cool!! How can they walk on those stilts - I could never do that!!!

pics1081.jpg

When it got dark we made it over to Toon Town to see what was happening there. I persuaded Katie to go on Goofy's Barnstormer and she LOVED it!!!

pics1095.jpg

When the girls were done Trick or Treating we headed toward Cindys carousal and what did I see, could it be???? THE SEVEN DWARFS ALL TOGETHER!!!!

The line was huge, but I didn't care, we were going to see them no matter what. Stephanie says, "Mommy, do we have to wait in this line?" I said, "I have been coming here for 30 years, and I've never seen all the dwarfs at once. So yes, we are standing in this line!!!!" :rotfl2: So we did, and I was happy!!

pics1107.jpg

When our visit was over, we sat behind the castle to wait for the fireworks, which was awesome. I'm not wishing we sat in front of the castle, but that's alright, we'll do it next time.

After the fireworks we went on IASM, because the girls really love that, and than I looked at my watch, and holy cow, we better get a spot for the 10:30pm parade. So we raced back towards Main Street, cutting through gift shops like crazy people, and we got back to the big ghost and that where we stayed for the parade.

pics098.jpg

The parade was great and it had great music to go with it. I keep singing it in my head to this day

pics1133.jpg

In the parade was Christopher Robin (never saw him before)

pics1144.jpg

Tigger and Piglet were dressed up cute

pics1105.jpg

And so was my best dwarf Dopey

pics1135.jpg

When the parade was over, people started filing out of the parade as if it was closing. I asked a CM if the park was open until midnight, and she said yes. So we went against all that traffic back towards Fantasyland to catch some more rides. There was no one there, literally, it was great!! We went on Dumbe, Snow White, Peter Pan and last but not least at exactly midnight, Winnie the Pooh. With that being done, we took our very tired little girls back to the resort to get some much needed sleep. (To bad we didn't sleep right away, because we were leaving the next day and had to pack up)

Saturday - Leaving Day

We woke up to the sad thought that we had to go. We had fun on our trip, and it ended way to fast. We got the last things ready, and the headed to 'Ohanas for breakfast (which was PACKED).

We saw all our favorites some for a last time, and some for a first time.

pics513.jpg

pics525.jpg

pics498.jpg

pics505.jpg

After a very tasty breakfast we got our luggage, got in our rental Durango, and headed off to Tampa International. We had a great flight home and walked in our door at 7:30pm.

That's the end of my TR - thanks everyone for letting me share it with you.

Congrats on getting that behind you! I'll be you're relieved!! :thumbsup2

We're all doing great. I few weeks back I could barely hold my head above water, I was so busy. Now, it's slowed down.

I'm off to look at the rest of your report! I'm loving the pictures!

Wow......that's great that Jim planted the tree just a couple of years ago and it's already growing fruit :thumbsup2 . Do you have to spray it to keep the bugs away?

Congrats on getting a new member of the family :goodvibes Border Collies are great dogs, so I'm not surprised that Harley is being good for you :) Keep us posted on how he continues to do for you.

We have a freeze warning for tonight. If James would like, I can send some of our cold air his way for him. I would like to get rid of it ;)

I am so happy about having that test done. But, I just called my Broker and I have to go to several training classes in November before I can get started. I'm so not in the mood for more classes, but I know it's for the best. :)

I'm glad that everything slowed down for you some. How is your DD doing at school? Is she all settled in?

Thanks for the compliment on the TR :goodvibes

Good Thursday morning everyone!!!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I've sort of become a stranger around here.

Sandy - your pics are awesome. Thanks so much for sharing them and for the great trip report. I so want to go back now! :guilty: Maybe next year! I liked your pics of the Tampa area, too. I don't know if I had told you before or not but I'm from that area. We moved up here in the end of 1990 from St. Petersburg! It was nice to see pics from that area. I would really like to go back there and show the boys where we were from but DH has no interest in going back!

Idroveallnight - Congrats on the new family member! Hannah probably is loving having a new friend!!

HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY EVERYONE. I'LL TRY TO STOP BY A LITTLE MORE OFTEN!

Good FRIDAY morning everyone!!! :cool1:

It is so cold here - I hate it!!! :guilty:
I would take a 90 degree day anytime over a 45 degree day.

Kathy - Thanks for the compliment on the TR :goodvibes I didn't know you were from the Tampa area. From the couple of pictures you sent me from your home - you live somewhere alot more beautiful now ::yes:: Tampa is a great place to visit, but I don't think I would want to permanently live there.
I got your PM, and I'm going to PM you back soon :thumbsup2

I gotta run and wake up Steph for school :teacher:

Have a good day everyone!!

Good very early Saturday morning everyone!! :surfweb:

I'm up at the crack of dawn to go to Steph's 8am soccer game.

Then after the game, we have Kevin's fire dept open house that we are going to all afternoon.

Gotta run - have a good day everyone!!

Good Sunday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

Wow....the frost outside is so thick. My last and final plant is now dead :guilty: It was the only thing I didn't pull out last week because it still looked pretty. Oh well, I guess I better pull that out today.

We were gone all day yesterday.
The soccer game wasn't to bad. The sun was shining bright and the wind wasn't as bad. I was cold, but nothing like Thursday night. Then we came home and changed, and off to the FD :firefight The open house was nice, but I was tired after running after Katie all day. Stephanie saw alot of her friends, and she loved showing them around the fire house. I also saw alot of people I know, and met a lot of Stephanie's friends mom's, which was nice also. One mom and I even exchanged phone numbers so the girls could play. :) Then after the FD Open House we went out to eat at Pizza Hut. It's the first time we have ever done that. We always eat Pizza Hut, but at home. We both agreed that all pizza for some reason always tastes better at the restaurant - we don't know why :confused3 , but it does. Then we came home and I put Katie straight to bed, she was so tired and I watched Poseidon, which was good - I give it a :thumbsup2 So that was my day yesterday.

Well, I'm off to make some French Toast Sticks - have a good day today!!

Good Monday morning everyone!!!! :surfweb:

So....last night before I went to bed, I peeked out the windows next to my front door to make sure the garage door was closed, and I found a party happening on my front porch.

fall2006046.jpg

fall2006045.jpg

Isn't that funny?!?! :lmao:

So, Kevin banged on the door and scared them away. He put things back the way they should be, and sprinkled a replent on them to keep them away. We went to bed.

Then this morning I woke up and looked outside, and what did I see - the party was going on full force again :rotfl2: I yelled upstairs, "I guess you should get your money back for that replent!!!!! :rotfl:

Well, I better go check on the critters - have a good day everyone!!!

Good morning everyone!! It's raining here again today. I guess that is good.
It is Homecoming week at the park - busy, busy , busy!! Then the next week is our league cheer competition. Not only am I coaching a squad, I am running the whole competition!! UGH!!! If I can make it through the nesxt two weeks without having some kind of break down, I will be suprised! It's getting a little crazy!
Work has been busy, too! It's that time of year! Flu vaccines for the world!!

Just keep telling yourself that you can have a breakdown when it is all over. By then you'll really deserve it, you'll owe it to yourself and you won't feel guilty for having one! :rotfl:
