Thanks for all the support girls:sunny: I needed it . I'm glad you guys got to read the post about my DH he is the best !

We had a small reception for the 18 people who attended the Graduation ( limited tickets) . In 2 weeks we will have a huge pool party for Whitneys graduation party ( 40 people  )
I will let Y'all know how that goes.

Sorry about your DD Roemama hope she feels better soon .

Slo I wish Whitney was just going to Kindergarten its to college for us in Aug. Dont cry at the graduation ( I cried enough for all of us at my DD LOL)

Girls we are getting lost in the shuffle of pages we were back on page 3

Everybody hang on we are going to the front ....................................::yes::

Hey Mad4Mickey.........thanks for the advice on the creepy ice cream man. It makes me feel better that you would have DH mention something to the police because I thought of it and then dismissed the idea due to the fact I don't want the police thinking I'm paranoid. Also, I didn't want the police to think that just because DH is a fireman that we can run to them with everything that we feel may be wrong in our town. Tomorrow I am having my DH talk to them and when the creepy ice cream man comes to our subdivisioon DH can call the police over the radio so the police will come right away (why go through dispatch).

Not to change the subject, I read the post you wrote about your DH and he sounds alot like my stepdad (of whom I just call dad). He married my mom when I was 3yrs old and he is absolutly my dad and I love him dearly. He walked me down the aisle at my wedding while my biological father stood and watched in a pew w/ the other guests. My stepdad always treated me, and still treats me, as if I was biologically his and he tells me he loves me all the time.

My biological father was in my life part-time as a child and young adult fulfilling his duties the court gave him. He paid his child support and saw me only when the courts said - never did he ask my mom if he could see me other times. My mother is a very nice lady and she would have let him see me other times - but never did he ask. He never called me on my b-day, holiday, or just to see how I am.

When Stephanie was born (DD #1) I was 27 yrs old and I let him see her one time - she was a month old. Afterwards I wrote him a letter stating that I never want to see or talk to him again. I told him I would not explain to my DD why he rarely comes around and dry the tears when he doesn't call her on her b-day, holiday, or just to see how she is doing. I also told him that she has 3 grandpa's that want to be w/ her all the time (my dad, DH's dad, and my grandpa) and I am not going to explain to her how this 4th grandpa fits into the realm of things. Therefore, Stephanie doesn't even know that he exists.

So......I respect your DH for treating your DD as if she was his own because it takes a very loving man to do this. She will always love him for the man he is and the love he has given her. God Bless Him!!!

what are we doing back here on page 4 ??? We are Firemans wives we deserve to go to the front page at least ::yes::

It's Sunday and we are expecting strong storms here in the Chicagoland area :( . DH is in Indianapolis for the Indy 500 so I am going to have to ride the storms out alone w/ my girls:eek: . Oh well, I don't know why this upsets me, I usually do anyway because as soon as a big clap of thunder comes the fire alarms at the Nursing homes, hospital, and church hall go off and then he has to leave. I guess it's still reassuring to know he's in the town as oppossed to far away.

Well, I told you guys that my mission this weekend was to finish planting my flowers and I did that:cheer2: . But, I still have 2 flats of flowers left w/o anywhere to put them. I usually plant 8-10 flats every spring, but this year I am not because Kate (the baby) doesn't leave me with alot of time to water them and plus w/ us moving, I didn't want to do all this planting and leave it. DH bought these flats for me and he over bought - but he is one of these men were more is better (You know the type - more power like Tim the Tool Man Taylor). We kid him about this on a regular basis. Oh well, he's mine and I love him:love:

Have a good Sunday if I don't talk to you!!!!

just dropping in to say :sunny: Good Morning !

I have to go and cook the lunch for the firehouse today .

One of the guys wants the mint browning so I have to go out and buy those little mini York peppermint patties. I hate the store on Sunday .....

I can let ya plant those flowers over by the pool if you need a place SLO :teeth:

There are pink, red, and white begonias - they would be perfect by your pool:sunny:. I can see it already, because I have some in pots by my pool:sunny: .

DH called from Indy and says the storms are pretty bad there. So what are they doing - they are tailgaiting underneath a tent (that has some metal with it) when it is thundering and lightning out:eek: . It amazes me sometimes how he takes chances with things with him being on the FD. You would think he would be overally cautious:confused: - but he isn't.

Talk to ya later!!!

Ok guys I almost said something so mean to my Dh ( whoom we all knwo I love ) He had me cook for everyone at the station .
2 pans of Mexican casserole ( lots of chopping of the onions, green peppers, and Jalapenos!) 2 pans of homemade mint brownies .... AND now they are going to station 1 for a FISH FRY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gimme a Break what in the world am I to do with all this food ?

Wow, you are a much nicer person than I am - I don't think I would have been so nice about this.

What to do with your food - hey, I have an idea!!!!!
I will trade you my flowers, for one of your casseroles. This way I don't have to worry about what to cook for dinner one day this week:p .

Hey, Slo. Just wanted to say Hi. I also want to say don't let the cyber hound get you down. I think you know what I mean. ;)

Keeping my fingers crossed they get the race in today...

Happy Memorial Day to everyone - I hope all of you have a safe holiday and I hope my DH will actually be able to stay home for awhile today before his pager starts ringing.

Talk to you later!!!

WHEW........I had to catch up. WEll, ended up going back to camp Saturday night. DD felt better (thanks everyone for your concern). Had a really fun weekend with our fun neighbors there. Did the parade thing Monday a.m.... and then it rained Monday afternoon and we came home.

Slo...hope hubby made out okay at he race...lightening just FREAKS me right out....I HATE it so I know what you mean. I also know what you mean about the alarms going off when there's storms. We have one church in the area that ALWAYS has the fire alarm go off...it's kinda a joke here.

Also, are you having some sort of problem with someone on here??? According to TRISHY it looks like someone's giving you trouble. WEll...they'll just have to answer to ALL of us, RIGHT GIRLS!!! No one is tougher than a firefighter's wife!!! ;)

Mishell......glad to see you made it through the graduation. Yes, your hubby is very special...AWWW what a guy. But the food thing...Geez... they just don't get it. You should've just had a pool party at home with the food you made. Slo will bring the flowers and I'll bring the liquid refreshments if you know what I mean(wink, wink ;) )

Well, I'm off to make DD lunch. Talk to you gals later. Hey, I wonder where Betsy is???

Have a great day!!!

Also forgot to say... SLO congrats on your TAG, it's cute. THe tag fairy WAS paying attention. :smooth:

HUH???? Are you having an investation, like termites??? Or are you babysitting or something?

Welcome home Roemama - glad to hear you had a good weekend.:)

To answer your question about somebody bugging me - yes, I had an individual that wanted to really rattle my cage. Now that the debate board is closed there are many folks that turn non-issues into issues and I just feel that is wrong. If people want to debate - fine - debate all day long, I don't care. But when people turn something into a debate when it's not supposed to be - it gets me pretty fired up. All I have to say, is somebody better not come on this thread and start debating over something because we'll just have to chew them up and spit them out - yeah!!!!:)

Okay.....now that I got that out of my system. So you like my tag huh?! Yeah, I was really surprised when I saw it. As you can see, I don't like spiders (really only big spiders). When we move, we are moving next to a forest and I don't even want to see what kind of spiders that's going to produce:scared1: Oh well, that's what husbands are for.:love2:

DH did get home safely from the race - thank you for asking. Him and the rest of his gang saw a tornado when they were around Lafayette, In. He said that it was scary, but kinda cool at the same time. Thank God they are fine. He left that morning at 3am and didn't get home until 10:30pm - he was exhausted!! He didn't go on any fire calls that night.

Well, I have to work at my desk now and pay some bills. I shouldn't of sat down at the computer because then I don't want to get off. Oh...DH just left for his softball game. I will have to let you know how bad they lose:)

Talk to you later!!!

yup infested with my 2 yr old Neice and 4 yr old nephew ( the one in the pic)

They come over a couple of time a week but I am tired today . So i am worn out already . With Whitney graduating last week I didnt have the time to have them over so the little Nephew calls me last night and said " Boo you still remember me dont you ?"

Pulled my heartstrings a little , now here I sit sticky and tired
